### "Action1 in Secondary Schools"

June 7, 2024

5.0

Pros

Ease of use/deployment - quick, efficient and reliable updating of patches for windows and 3rd party products. Great vulnerability assessments that I can feed back to SLT. Time saved per week is brilliant, and the product will cover its own costs in about 100 hours of time (i.e. not much at all)

Cons

Genuinely struggle to think of any downsides. I had to wait all of 2 hours to be approved to run scripts through Action1 - which is a very good security aspect, and the most I can stretch to think of something I don't like. I think it's a brilliant product.

Reason for choosing Action1

Ease of use, great price (free for up to 100 endpoints too!). To misquote another advertising campaign. Absolutely does what it says on the tin.

### "Easy to use and manage!"

June 10, 2024

5.0

I have used Action1 for a couple of years now. When I first started using it, there was a lot to be desired. However, the development team has been working to bring new features to the program.

Pros

Action1 makes it easy. You install the agent on your client PCs and then you can start managing. Very easy to get automated patching and vulnerability management set up.

Cons

No iOS compatibility as of June 10th, 2024. Road map says that it is coming though.

Reason for choosing Action1

I found a recommendation on Spiceworks. Followed by their excellent free trial.

### "Great Product with genius minds developing this amazing tool"

June 12, 2024

5.0

Our IT Department is more relaxed regarding endpoints and server patching. I don't see how i can do the stuff that action1 does, manually like in the past :)

Pros

\-Rapid deployment -Fastest RMM and patching solution on the market. -Rapid licensing -Rapid tech support -Rapid license management -Fast way to check critical issues -Great overview of the infrastructure -posibility to contribute with the community in the development of the platform

Cons

Don't think there are bad things to say. -maybe a mobile aplication, but it's in future development

### "Fantastic product - Patching tool that just works!"

July 19, 2024

Pros

Ease of use and effectiveness of patching. Vulnerability scanning for Windows workstation and servers exceeded my expectation. Saves my team time but scanning, detecting and patching vulnerabilities all within one platform.

Cons

### "Exceptional Web-based patch management"

June 7, 2024

5.0

My experience with Action1 has been exceptional. I have even seen a Action1 rep on reddit give super good advice without trying to push their product. Very commendable.

Pros

I like that this is web-based, and I can access it from anywhere. I don't have to log into a VPN to connect to our local network just to update/make changes.

Cons

In order for me to run custom scripts, I have to use an email address from the company I'm monitoring. This is not a major deal though. I could potentially change/create an email address to use with my client, but I don't have a need to run custom scripts (as of yet).

### "Action1 Review"

August 6, 2024

5.0

Pros

Ease of setup and clear roadmap of future features.

Cons

The feature set is perhaps not as robust as other options but this is counteracted by the cost and roadmap showing clear improvements.

Reason for choosing Action1

Ultimately cost and the reduced feature set. Other products had many other features we weren't ready to use but were required to get the patch and vulnerability management.

### "Awesome product and great support"

June 20, 2024

5.0

Pros

The top thing I like about Action1 is that they are very interested in making their product better. The product itself is very good too. Lots of options for pushing out updates. You can configure it so that it tries to update every so many hours or days so that if the system isn't online at the time, it can hopefully get it when it does come online. I had one program that wasn't in their list and they helped me to add it to my portal.

Cons

It should be nice when we also can manage iOS and Android devices. Then it's really an all-in-one solution.

### "Invaluable product for those looking at 3rd Party Application and Vulnerability assessment and remediation!"

June 28, 2024

5.0

I've found the product invaluable on a day to day basis. The support is very good and the roadmap of new features leaves me very optimistic about the future of Action1.

Pros

The ability to see software installed across the estate, the vulnerabilities found in that software and present on the endpoints. Action1 can then remediate those found vulnerabilities by updating software to newer versions. The dashboard gives a very easy overview of the issues currently at play and where they sit against the SLA's set.

Cons

It would be useful for "executive level" reporting that allows you to see the resolved vulnerabilities over a set time period.

### "Action1 because it works!"

June 10, 2024

5.0

Over all, very positive experience with Action1, I haven't been bombarded by sales emails, and the product is doing exactly what I need it to do. Very pleased with this and I would happily recommend it to any one who requires a tool to track vulnerabilities and assets.

Pros

Easy to deploy, non intrusive on users machines. Monitoring in real time is good. Easy access to all the information I need, easily take action on any issues arising in the fleet. Simple to upload updates to the library once you have verified your account with them.

Cons

Remote access a little ropey. I had some time out issues, but for the most part it enabled me to get the job done. I would probably use Teamviewer or some such application for remote connection.

Reason for choosing Action1

Easy to use and a long term sub 100 End points free trial gave us plenty of time to check it out.

### "Best tool that i know so far !"

June 12, 2024

5.0

Only nice things to say about the platform, we had no issues so far and we use it alot. We did scheduled updates, we deployed apps and many many more... It works and it has not disappointed us so far!

Pros

The interface, the user management and the remote desktop feature.

Cons

Nothing to dislike yet, the only thing that i would like in this app is a chat button with the user. Sometimes you have to call him and stay on the phone whille you help him and it s not so efficient.

### "Vulnerability Management is no longer an Issue"

June 10, 2024

5.0

I wish I'd discovered Action1 sooner. WSUS is dead and unreliable, and using a Remote Desktop Manager to do updates manually is inefficient. For small business owners, this is simply a no-brainer. For large companies, even easier considering you can deploy rapidly using Group Policy. If everyone started using the Free version, they'd realise how good the product is, not change, but scale up.

Pros

Free for 100 endpoints. Ease of setup and deployment. Fast execution and auditability for reporting.

Cons

Nothing I didn't like. It works and is fast.

Reason for choosing Action1

Auditability for KPA and reliability of use.

Action1 is easy to use and I'd encourage everyone to give it a try. It is free for less than 100 endpoints and its features are comparable if not better than pricey competitors offering the same features.

Pros

### "Action1 made updating mobile devices simple "

May 22, 2024

4.0

Overall, its been relatively simple to setup and deploy to our estate and the support team seem to want to listen to you and are keen to get to the bottom of any issues.

Pros

The 100 always free licences is a great way to test the full functionality of their product. Also, its only one I've seen that updates the Adobe CC suite, and now you can quickly see which outstanding vulnerabilities are being exploited so you can target them as a priority.

Cons

We signed up before the different regions were introduced, as moving from the US to the EU was far from simple.

### "A godsend for someone like me who needs to run several departments alone"

March 15, 2024

5.0

I work in a healthcare anvironment with people who know nothing of IT. We don't have the size to have our own IT department with servers. Employees need to be able to help people as quick as possible. So having the option to remote support their laptops without any fuss is important. I used a different (paid) software previously with the need to path to new versions and so on. Now I can just press a button from the management console of Action1 and connect within seconds, without the need to explain to employees what to do. AVG is important, so installed software needs to be up to date. Now I can see who to adress or just update remotely. The risks of unpatched software and the ability to remediate them is a great option too.

Pros

The basics are easy to use, good overview of all clients and A lot of Features, some of them I still need to discover :) Free for first clients Very, very easy implementation. Just install the client on notebooks and don't look back!

Cons

More advanced features are not directly visible, but I think it cannot be avoided because of the many features Action1 provides

### "Solid patch management for an unbeatable price"

November 27, 2023

5.0

I've been using Action1 for a little over a year and they've only improved. Their roadmap is solid and they're constantly adding new features. I've yet to run into an issue using it that wasn't caused by my own misconfiguration.

Pros

Action1 has several filters and ways to craft policies for granular rollout of automated patches. It's incredibly easy to set up the policies and apply patches to pilot and production groups. Their third-party application library is also growing at a decent pace, and the ability to enforce automatic patching on those is one of the primary reasons I use Action1.

Cons

My least favorite aspect of Action1 has to be their remote access tooling. It's missing a few features I would consider critical, like direct terminal access and file copy, but it gets the job done if you just need a simple way to access a remote machine.

### "Best tool for little organisation to manage endpints remotelly"

September 19, 2023

5.0

Action1 has been a game-changer for me. Not only has it streamlined my patch and update process, but it has also been instrumental in addressing windows-related issues for my users. The ability to troubleshoot without being physically present on-site is a significant time-saver. Moreover, the software's capabilities in handling multiple endpoints simultaneously mean that I can do more in less time, eliminating the tediousness of manual operations.

Pros

I've experimented with various tools, but Action1 stands out. The ease of installing an agent on an endpoint with zero configuration is commendable. With just a link to the end user, I can manage updates and patches (including third-party apps). It offers the flexibility of executing pre-deployed windows scripts or using bespoke ones. One of the standout features, from my perspective, is the ability to swiftly connect to a remote desktop without requiring any additional tools or the hassles of user IDs and passwords.

Cons

While I've had a largely positive experience with the software, I think it falls short in its inability to manage other operating systems. A more holistic solution would integrate management for platforms like Android and iOS tablets.

Reason for choosing Action1

In comparison to other products I've tried, Action1 provided a more intuitive and seamless experience. The sheer convenience of not having to juggle multiple tools – especially when connecting to a remote desktop – made it an obvious choice. The time-saving aspect, especially when managing updates for a multitude of endpoints, cemented my decision to go with Action1.

### "Action1, a very unique platform"

September 28, 2023

5.0

The overall experience with Action1 is truly amazing. Out of all the previous platforms that I've used I can say this one by far has been simply the best

Pros

Action1 was very easy to setup and quickly deploy considering how many features it contains. I was able to start patching within minutes. The 3rd party patching feature is exceptional and constantly updated. The devs are clearly always at work and making improvements. They really listen to the constructive feedback we provide.

Cons

There's not much I dislike about Action1. However it would be nice if the admins can have a local app where they can deploy custom softwares and also remotely connect to endpoints via the LAN

### "Fantastic Patch Management / RMM solution"

March 6, 2024

5.0

Really great, other providers nickel and dime you for features, don't support basic common-sense things, or are difficult to deal with in general. Action1 is fantastic, you're dealing with real people that understand what you're trying to do, not some public/VC company that just wants to squeeze every last penny out of you and doesn't care if their product sucks.

Pros

Patch management is great, lots of apps are covered, patches can be scheduled, you can set a retry window if a host isn't online. Very easy to use. Remote desktop works well and connects quickly. You can remotely deploy software and run scripts (from their library, or upload your own).

Cons

It's hard to find anything to complain about. It would be nice if they offered MDM like control over workstations (GPO type settings). Once in a while vulnerability management has a false positive but it's a fairly new feature at the time of writing.

### "Action1 A must for IT admins"

November 28, 2023

5.0

Action1 has given me a platform to management three sites in 2 states. I can scan and apply patches with ease. I can apply patches individually, per device, or to specific groups. I no longer have to spend hours gathering updates and manually pushing them out, nor do I need "hands-on" every workstation. One interface provides all I need to scan patch and support my end users.

Pros

I really like the ease with which this tool is setup. Out of the box, it can handle patch management, device scanning, and remote desktop services.

Cons

I do wish the tool had more insight into the networking side of things. However, being a patch management tool it is not an expectation.

### "Patch Management and Software Deployment we can count on!"

November 28, 2023

5.0

Action1 has become an indispensable tool in our toolbox. Actually, it is more like a toolbox of tools. We have software deployments, patching, and scripts which set configurations all running automatically. They are continually improving their platform as well and I am optimistic that the product will just keep getting better.

Pros

Action1 automation policies ensures all our systems are patched. Action1 also streamlines our new workstation deployment. We just install Action1 and then all other required apps get deployed by automation policies. Super easy!

Cons

Reboot prompts need improvement. Currently you can notify a user that a reboot will occur at a specified time and they can either reboot now or snooze the message. There should be an option to allow them to cancel the reboot up to a certain number of days.

### "Great solution"

5.0

Action1 is great. I love that they have a discord channel where you can talk with other users. I've received some great support from them, and from time to time the founders of the company even talk to us is the channel.

Pros

I love the fact that Action1 has many features straight out of the box. They market themselves as a Patch Management solution, but they do some great features such as software installation, Vulnerability scanning, and remote access as well.

Cons

The time from when you tell the system to perform a task, to when it actually does is a bit slow. Nothing too drastic though. we are talking around 30 seconds.
