### "I wish I had known about Action1 earlier"

December 26, 2024

5.0

We are a company with few computers and in recent years we have needed to have more control over the users' computers, in addition to being able to connect remotely with ease. This tool has made things a lot easier for us and I would recommend this one especially to companies with a smaller volume of equipment and who do not know how to get started.

Pros

Pricing and ease of use. The support service is very good and very easy to contact. It has a lot of capacity for improvement and they show that they take the opinion of their users into account.

Cons

Having worked with other UEMs, I would like that instead of having a library of scripts, I would like to have some predefined actions that are like filling out a form. For example, in others I have found it easier to create a desktop shortcut to a website, but in the case of Action1 I am looking for a way through PowerShell and can't find the right way to make it do the same thing.

Reason for choosing Action1

Because I don't have to pay for less than 100 endpoints.

### "10/10 would recommend!"

July 7, 2025

5.0

I created a free account and received a call from my account representative within a week making sure I knew who to call if there was anything I needed. I was shocked! That level of service is getting harder to find in this field. Business is taking off and hopefully soon will pass the 200 agent mark and will definitely be sticking with Action1 long-term. Don't change! Keep it up

Pros

For the past 9 years, I have administrated KACE SMA in a 700+ workstation / server enterprise. Action1 far exceeds that product, especially in the third party patching field. I chose Action1 to start my own MSP business, and it has been great. Based just down the road from me in Houston, Texas!

Cons

I cannot think of any at the moment. The previous SMA I used was KACE and we self-hosted the VM in house. Action1 is cloud based so approving updates, for example, seems a little slower. This is to be expected, so no big deal. Not a complaint at all, just the nature of the beast.

### "Quality Patch Management "

July 1, 2025

5.0

Great overall experience that makes patch management fun! Just found out it had Remote Access. That could be another great feature.

Pros

Action 1 is very intuitive, with plenty of relevant data. It's ease of use is what I like most. It doesn't push out all updates but a fair number as to make life a lot easier.

Cons

Haven't found a negative yet so it will be hard to write one hundred words in the negative box so this is it.

### "Action1 greatly simplify our operations"

July 1, 2025

5.0

Action1 allow us to have an overview of the software and windows update installed on workstations and servers in our environment. We really like it.

Pros

Able to automate the removal of unwanted software, and to install Windows update in a much simpler manner than with WSUS.

Cons

Sometime Windows udpates failed to install, it seem to be specific to certain machines, we are in the process of troubleshooting if the problem is with Action1 or the computers.

### "Action1 patching"

October 15, 2024

5.0

Great experience. Small installer footprint with a quick scan on the endpoint. Scheduled Updates can be set via Automation. Security is a key cornerstone of the company.

Pros

Accurate and fast patching on Windows and various external apps. Uninstalling old and vulnerable apps from the console works without issues. Installing non-Microsoft apps can be handled via the Software Repository. As a patch and vulnerability management tool, it works well.

Cons

No obvious PSA integration yet. Integration on the roadmap for next year.

### "Amazing product!"

June 30, 2025

5.0

Extremely smooth rollout and monitoring of all updates. The software repository is great too with most of our additional software already available. And for the software that isn't in the repository, it's very easy to add and manage additional software.

Pros

The integration with Windows and the ease of pushing updates is amazing. Our computers have never been as up to date as they are now.

Cons

So far we haven't found a way to track licensed software to verify that we are in compliance. There may be a way, if there is we haven't figured it out.

### "Outstanding patching solution for education"

December 10, 2024

5.0

Action1 have been excellent at all stages during the evaluation process - from pre-sales to support. The team are approachable and knowledgeable and have been quick to respond in all areas. During the deployment stage we engaged with support to check our approach was inline with best practice and support were able to help steer us to ensure our deployment fully utilised the feature set and met our overall needs. A great solution all round.

Pros

Action1 has been an incredible addition to our service offering, allowing us to quickly patch OS and third-party applications with ease. The inbuilt reporting is strong and helps report on compliance broadly as an organisation and to a granular client level. Action1's automations have enabled us to set organisation wide policies for patching, whilst still being able to take specific individual client actions. Scheduled automations for updates/removal of software can be 'set and forget' knowing that they will run and take the necessary action as per the schedule e.g. removing a specific piece of software if detected. All round a great experience and a well received solution by the team

Cons

Action1 offers exactly what it sets out to achieve, patching - however, there are some areas that would be 'nice to have' e.g. more granular permissions which would allow us to meet our specific needs. Action1 have taken this on board and have signposted me to their publically accessible roadmap that shows their upcoming features - of which granular permissions is one.

### "Honest Review From a K-12 Tech Coordinator"

June 30, 2025

5.0

My over all experience with Action1 has been very good. We are deployee new windows machines to comply with Microsoft's windows 11 requirements and it has made this process a lot easier.

Pros

The thing I like the most about Action1 is the remote desktop feature. It is seamless and easy to use.

Cons

The trouble you have to go through to add software to the repository. You have to do so many tendius things and half the time it didn't work anyway. I wish there was a more seamless way to add software.

### "Would 100% recommend to anyone in a Windows environment"

October 2, 2024

5.0

The tool itself has been vital in helping us discover vulnerabilities not only with Windows, but with third-party software which we struggled a lot with beforehand. The agent deployment tool connects straight to Active Directory and was on all our available Windows assets literally within an hour of deploying. We went from having limited Windows vulnerabilities and update controls to having full visibility across our estate and the ability to deploy mass updates on scheduled, control the reboot process, update servers during maintenance times and patch all the third-party apps you can imagine.

Pros

Other than the affordability, I love the admin interface. It's simple to navigate and easy to learn. I had never even heard of Action1 a couple of months ago and now we're using it for all our Windows assets as if we'd known the tool for decades.

Cons

Right now is the lack of support for other operating systems, but they have an awesome roadmap site which actually listen to customers, and MacOS and Linux are coming which is awesome.

I got along really with with their sales team and our account manager and their pricing is very competitive, plus the simplicity of the entire product made it a super easy onboarding experience. Plus the 100 free licenses for life is an awesome thing to do.

It's been a great help. Support is helpful, albeit slow on free tier. Already recommended it to others.

Pros

Cons

I was downsizing my business and moving away from another RMM solution. I came across Action1 as I was doing some research and decided to go with them. It was very easy to set up and I had my customers up and running very quickly.

Pros

### "Reliable Endpoint Management Software"

September 15, 2025

5.0

Experience is amazing, will recommend it to everyone. Give it a try. We had setup it on 30+ endpoints and it was very easy to do.

Pros

Easy to use, it is reliable. It is definitely a value for money. Script library is also good. We can easily create scripts and run remotely easily on endpoints.

Cons

Sometimes it was able to detect certain software installed. Also, in windows while running critical PowerShell script it should tell the user that this script can take the system to non-working state.

### "AAA+++ for Action 1! ☄️ 🤩"

Extremely positive. Cannot imagine my workday without Action 1! Well done Team Action 1, keep up the great work!

Pros

Cons

### "Action1 forced me to get organized."

July 8, 2025

5.0

I'm very new to Action1, but I am excited to implement more of it's features! There are other features that I need to implement.

Pros

Action1 organizes activities that I used to handle manually. Soon after configuring Action1, I realized that my ad hoc method was not as effective as I thought.

Cons

I had a little trouble with the intial configuration, but I think that was my fault. I wasn't sure where to start.

### "Action1 Is good"

July 1, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with action1 was very good. I will continue to use this product for as long as i can.

Pros

It gave me more control over updates and was easy to use. I also like that is was free for the first 200 endpoints.

Cons

I feel that the endpoint organization is a little clunky and the ability to upgrade to different versions of windows seems limited.

### "Great product. Saved time and effort!"

June 30, 2025

5.0

Overall pretty good. I was able to deploy to about 50 servers and was able to resolve a few outstanding CVE's without much hassle.

Pros

Ease of installing agents and checking for missing updates. We only have a few systems but this has helped a lot in our environment.

Cons

Automatic approval from some updates such as those for browsers. This may be a lack of understanding in how to set this up properly. If so then my least liked thing would be the lack of it being obvious.

### "Action1 has helped me stay ISO27001 Compliant and my end users safe"

September 20, 2024

4.0

Very positive, firstly it is free for under 100 endpoints. you dont get that anywhere. It accepts cmd and ps1 scripts, you can deploy your own software. Its great.

Pros

The product is very easy to use, you can do a 1 time setup and leave it if required, it is helping me stay compliant with our ISO27001 standards

Cons

Customization of the data headers. Sometimes it would be beneficial to add columns to deployments so you can see additional information. I.E PC name shows when the deployment phase starts but no user name. I have to open a second tab and go to endpoints to view who the user is.

### "Patch Management in Minutes"

June 30, 2025

5.0

Excellent, no complaints. Takes care of patching needs and endpoint management. Updates are easily deployed and the progress of each step can be monitored.

Pros

Ease of use. Very simple to install agent on endpoints. Endpoints are managed in a matter of minutes

Cons

Sometimes it may take a while for endpoint to be grouped by active directory groups. The data can take time to gather and the endpoint weren't grouped so it left me (a new user) wondering if the rules were effective or not.

### "Absolutely Phenomenal Patch Management Solution"

September 9, 2024

5.0

I tried other RMM solutions before trying Action1. Their competitors wanted a lengthy service contract and couldn't scale down to what we initially needed. After trying Action1 and working with their sales team I knew that I had found a winner. The 100 free endpoints is such a generous offering, it's such an invaluable service and has already saved our organization hundreds of hours. If you're reading this review I urge you to try it, you have nothing to lose - it's so easy to deploy, you'll wonder how you managed without it.

Pros

It does everything, every aspect of patching, remote installation of applications, scripting, providing alerts, reporting and remote access. The 100 endpoints offering (which is free forever) is so unbelievably generous too. Excellent support - I tried others but Action1 won hands down.

Cons

There isn't an a dedicated app for cell devices but that's a minor complaint. It really feels like Action1 is too good to be true.

### "Action 1 - would recommend"

June 30, 2025

We were looking for a way to manage system updates (including 3rd party) and assist us in providing support for our remote team. Action 1 has been great for our use case.

Pros

Really easy to understand and use. We were up and running in no time. Agent setup was a breeze. It took no time for the agents to communicate with the portal and provide us with valuable info about our systems.

Cons

This is going to be hard to answer as we're fairly new to the platform. As of now, we've been using for a couple of months, and I haven't found a con yet.
