Game changer. Pros I love the fact that once everything is setup, the software runs reliably and safely without requiring extreme interventions. It gives me more control over audio and video synching. Recording and streaming at the same time is seamless. Cons The set up takes time. But honestly there are no complaints about the features. Pros I like the interface and found it user friendly. Cons However the fact that it is browser based has given me a lot of headaches. Uploads not working or taking forever. As your videos get more complex, the program can't download them and you need to break them up into chunks. Many times my videos dont download unless I chunk them down into 2 minute increments. For 10-15 minute videos this gets very annoying and time consuming. I'm sad to say I just can't continue using this program, yet I still have many months left in my subscription. But like so many other companies out there, once they get your money, you'll never see it again, even if the product stops working for you. And sure enough, Kapwing will not refund me my remaining subscription months. I'm tired of this. I'm tired of giving away my hard earned money. Because that's essentially what I'm doing. I paid for a video editing program to make my YT videos. But when it takes me 5 times longer to make a video with that program than it does on something like ClipChamp, the product is not what I paid for. Pros Kapwing made us creative in delivering advertising messages in all targeted languages ​​with complete ease. I loved that the audio content was converted to text and the automatic translation provided by Kapwing is coherent and accurately reflects the content of the clip. It is great that Kapwing maintains the size and quality of the original video after adding the translation and its special effects. Cons I understand that Kapwing did not succeed in dealing with some colloquial words and writing them and then translating them correctly. Thanks to the quick language proofing feature, we were able to catch those mistakes and correct them easily. If these glitches were to be ironed out, this review would have been a lot more positive. Pros I love how easy it is to remove audio from video clips quickly, this has made my life a lot easier on a day-to-day basis. I also appreciate how many transitions Kapwing has, as this gives me a lot of choice when creating more exciting videos. My favourite feature which I think is really functional and useful, is the auto subtitle feature which I think is a god-send. It very rarely gets the audio speech wrong, and I only have to change over a few words. It literally saves me a lot of time every use. Cons I really despise how glitchy the platform is. It seems every time I use kapwing, there is some sort of glitch. The glitches are: Playhead moves through the video but the video gets stuck on a static image, with the only fix I've found is to refresh the whole page. This is what I dislike the most about Kapwing. Sometimes my videos get stuck on exporting and end up having errors, forcing me to save a copy of my file and try again which is annoying. Saved videos have in the past have been saved with text blocks out of place despite me not changing anything. The background remover tool on video clips is very poor compared to other software I've used. It looks very janky and glitchy. I use this feature a lot, so I suppose I notice it more. In addition, the automatic subtitles do not work well at all - really bad. I prefer to type the subtitles in a free app instead of spending hours correcting subtitles (which doesn't work well either). It's really rude to charge such a high amount for a site full of glitches like this. If your site is under construction, don't charge money for it or charge a nominal amount. Really angry and expecting compensation. I both paid, and wasted my time for nothing. The never-ending glitches and bugs that simply destroy the work experience and cause that a website that was supposed to save me time, takes more time of my life than parallel applications.
