They made sure that my team had what they needed to make good use of the product, despite very dynamic world events (the wildfires in Australia and now COVID-19). For a small company on the other side of the globe, they are committed to quality software and customer service. Pros My favorite feature of Sajari is its speed. I was able to get a proof-of-concept implementation running on a preview server in about 5 minutes. The web-based dashboard makes it very quick and easy to configure your collections and apply weighting rules. Cons The Promotions tool is very new and has room for improvement. It was a little late in making it into production. I am confident that the Sajari team will continue to refine and enhance this new feature. For now, it works and the configuration is very quick. However, it would be even better if you could edit a Promotion instead of recreating it. I would also love the ability to schedule a Promotion to only appear within results during a preset time window. Switched from [Mindbreeze InSpire](https://www.capterra.com/p/231820/Mindbreeze-InSpire/) Working with the Mindbreeze Inspire dashboard is painful and the templating options are quite restrictive, leading to a sub-par user experience for our site visitors. For all of its power, the configuration process is complicated and the user interface integration process is very restrictive. Sajari trades some feature depth for ease-of-use and speed. The search box on our site not only returned our own products, but since it was now suddenly a regular Google search, it returned our competitors products on OUR website. Needless to say, highly unacceptable. We had to find and implement a solution fast. That's what we got with Sajari . A reasonably priced solution that we had up and running the next day. It's fast and we were able to make it work with our unique needs. Best part is that it's been working so well ever since that we never have to stop and muck with it. So much so that nobody in this department really remembers when we made the switch. Cons Some of our searches return more than they should, but that's something I'm sure we could fix if we fiddle settings a bit. Haven't bothered to do so as it's functioning well. While not perfect, Sajari was a very reasonable and surprisingly easy to implement solution for us. And despite being located on the other side of the earth from us, online support has generally been quick and effective. Pros Implementation/integration quite simple; admin interface is effective and easy to use; results page looks good. Overall Sajari delivers an effective, easy to use search solution at an affordable price for small business with limited technical staff. Cons Automatic indexing only works with new pages, not with updated pages, requiring manual re-indexing after updates. Queries in larger more complex product sections hard to control to desired results. Unfortunately it' wasn't configured well, probably because it was so complex the business didn't understand it. We just didn't have that technical maturity. As a result, Solr wasn’t working well for us and probably would have needed extensive redevelopment - it was giving us poor results that weren’t relevant and very shallow searches. Rather than try again, we cut the knot and implemented Sajari. It took 2 weeks to do and the results were immediately significantly better. And they've only gotten better since. Pros Very easy to implement. Quick, responsive customer service. Very good configuration options via the customer dashboard, including weighting and synonyms. Machine learning ensures relevant results. And it's Australian. Cons It's not set and forget. You need a web content person regularly tweaking it or you won't get the most out of it. Support and communication is quick and efficient and always ready to assist in an almost 24 zone time zone. Pros Super easy to set-up, implement and configure. Was up and running pretty quick and the site implementation was extremely straightforward. Search results and data was fairly accurate from the outset but rules allow you to tweak for your own requirements. Cons Not much really. Had a few minor design snags with the install but the support was super quick in helping to resolve.
