We have successfully deployed it across multiple outlets, business units, and clients with strict role separation, automation rules, and performance tracking. It supports disciplined execution, which is rare in chat platforms. Respond.io rewards teams who think in systems, not shortcuts. If you invest in proper setup, SOPs, and strategy, it becomes extremely powerful and reliable. For agencies and businesses operating at scale, it is one of the best platforms available today.

Pros

Respond.io is one of the most robust omnichannel messaging platforms I have used, especially for WhatsApp-first businesses. The biggest strength is how well it handles complex, real-world conversation flows across multiple channels, teams, and outlets without becoming fragile. The workflow automation is extremely powerful once you understand it, allowing us to build disciplined lead qualification, routing, follow-up, and escalation logic that actually works at scale. It supports serious CRM-style thinking rather than just basic chat replies. Another standout is how well respond.io integrates with external systems like CRMs, booking tools, webhooks, and automation platforms. This makes it possible to design end-to-end systems rather than disconnected chat tools. ### "Good product, poor support"

Sadly a very poor experience, even though it's a good product. It cost us months to set up, and a vast amount of wasted time in the process, whilst they refused to pause or refund billing during the time.

Pros

It's a good platform with a lot of useful features. The AI Agents are more effective than many of the competitors we tried.

Cons

We lost 3 months trying set it up due to integration failures on calling. Respond.io support is managed by a team inbox of nameless people. There is little ownership off issues or proactivity. After 3 months of back and forth with the telco provider and Respond, we finally got a fix. We asked for a full refund on the downtime, as the product was unusable, and Respond rejected the request. If you're looking for a fast setup and good support, Respond.io might not be the best fit.

Overall, fantastic. We've been able to scale our business and grow from strength to strength with Respond.io as the backbone for our WhatsApp-based health support product

Pros

Respond.io has a great balance between structured and flexibility, to be able to set your company's account up to suit your needs. It is very easy for us to onboard our staff quickly, and the mobile app helps a lot. Between the community support, the canny.io board and the support received via Respond's WhatsApp channel, we've always been in good hands - and have had the proper escalation facilitated in unique cases. They are always working on improving the product - we've been a client for the past 2 years and it looks a lot different than when we signed up initially. All the build seems to be client-led, given that we can log requests and vote on them via Canny.

Cons

Sometimes, the data in certain client fields just clear without explanation. We've had to make provisions to cater for this. The fields on the sidebars don't allow for formulae/calculation and have a limited amount of text you can use.

It is great and the best experience to communicate with customers. it remains professional but same time giving direct access to communication with a client.

Pros

Its very user friendly , easy to manage tickets. The chats are quick with great customization that meet a users desires in most cases.

Cons

Just a small way to mark sales based on the stage of the sale would be nice addition and more color codes for customization

Respond was one of the firsts experiences that i had with crm softwares and im so glad to be able to used it to improve my lead management

Pros

Respond its so easy and intuitive to use, it was one of the first crm softwares that i tried and actually enjoyed working on it, the fact that you can send direct messages through their own whatsapp makes the experience more professional for our clients

Cons

The free version doesnt let you do that much but it is completely understandable because it is well equilibrated between price and benefits

It has been great from the get go - from white-glove onboarding and personalised service, to ongoing support that is easy to work with, I have absolutely no complaints.

Pros

They keep growing the offering, and they actually listen to user feedback and suggestions. It is so refreshing to use a product which is constantly evolving and redefining customer service.

Cons

Some features are not yet available (IVR menus, highly configurable VOIP, etc) which a previous platform had, but it given the amount of effort put in over the last year to growing the platform and its features, this is a minor platform.

Easy to use, I've gotten support when needed on setting up workflows for messaging - their support team is also very knowledgeable. Pricing is comparable to other kinds of platforms who also try to do the same thing.

Pros

Easy for all employees/team members to hop in and manage our whatsapp inbox. We use it to communicate with existing clients in our gym/coaching facility.

I didnt really find anything that I disliked. They've constantly added new features every few months, with the recent AI agent being my favourite.

We use this software everyday to engage with our Customers and answer their queries. The experience is good so far - The support from the respond team to help us build workflow is also very good.

Pros

The respond can help us manage multiple chats - We have two separate departments working on a single platform and few of our workflows are getting automated. This help us filter genuine queries.

Cons

The respond is slow compared to our previous software - Sometimes the notifications are unheard if in a different windows tab - Apart from that this software is good.

Pros

They guided me through the product very well. The customer support on WhatsApp was instantly available and they answered all my questions. Awesome job!

Cons

The ability to send bulk WhatsApp template messages from the dashboard is currently not available. But it seems like they are going to launch this feature in the coming weeks.

En general, la experiencia fue buena para brindar una atención fluida a los clientes, mejorar el CSAT y facilitar la gestión de los agentes.

Pros

La interfaz es muy fácil de utilizar y los reportes me muestran toda la información necesaria sobre los clientes, la gestión y la conexión de mis agentes. Pero lo que más me gustó fue el servicio de atención al cliente, me puse en contacto para recomendar una actualización y, al día siguiente, ya tenía la mejora implementada.

Cons

Lo que menos me gustó fueron las caídas del bot en algunas ocasiones, ya que dejaba a ciertos clientes sin derivación. Además, la paleta de colores de las burbujas del chat era muy similar, lo que dificultaba diferenciar las conversaciones entre mis agentes y los clientes; al ingresar, me resultaba fácil perderme entre las respuestas.

My overall experience with Respond.io has been extremely positive. It has completely transformed our communication workflow and made it much simpler to engage with customers across all our channels. The platform is intuitive, reliable, and has quickly become an indispensable tool for our business.

Pros

The multi-channel support and ease of use are the standout features. I absolutely love that I can manage all my conversations from different platforms in one unified inbox. This saves my team a significant amount of time and makes us incredibly efficient. The automation tools are also a huge plus, allowing us to handle routine queries without manual effort, which is fantastic for productivity.

Cons

The reporting and analytics features could be more robust. While the platform is great for day-to-day operations, getting a deep dive into customer conversation trends and agent performance can be a bit challenging. More customizable dashboards and advanced filtering options would be a great addition to provide more actionable insights. On a separate note, I believe API access should be a standard feature on all plans, including the basic one. Having a fully integrated API is crucial for businesses of all sizes to automate workflows and connect with other applications, and it would greatly enhance the value of the platform for all users.

### " Todo en el mismo lugar"

respond.io lo uso a diario todo el día en mi jornada ya que es la herramienta principal que uso para comunicarme con los clientes realmente no hay cliente que no lo atienda por este medio lo cual a echo que respondio.io sea una herramienta indispensable para el desarrollo de mis actividades

Pros

realmente que todas las conversaciones de distintos números de mi empresa así como redes sociales esta todo en el mismo lugar sin necesidad de tener muchas aplicaciones abierta al mismo tiempo si no todo en un solo lugar lo cual facilita el trabajo en el sentido de estar en contacto con varios clientes al mismo tiempo

Cons

el que se duplican números por las ladas +52 y +521 lo cual en veces causa confusiones por tener al mismo cliente en dos chats distintos

### "Best omnichannel tool in the world"

I have been using respond.io since 2021, it fit all my needs connecting channels just in one place and automationa made My life easier.

Pros

It is very easy to use, the documentation on the website is very complete and also there are many videos on YouTube, you can connect a lot of channels like WhatsApp, Telegram, FB, IG and many more.

Cons

In case you are more advanced in to APIs or Webhooks, the only thing I don't like is that with the API you can not download photos. But that is something you can do on the browser or in the app.

I've been using Respond.io since last April, it 's always surprised me with new feature that I didn't know existed and that make the communication even more comfortable. Lately, I just discovered that I can use Respond.io for replying client's emails and send the message through email form as well, such an amazing discovery.

Pros

Respond facilitates the communication with the client in a way that it enables me to express my answer correctly and with the right tone, using the magic wand , valuing my answer and make the communication quick enough for it to sound like a normal chat with professional worker.

Cons

I still do not like the fact that I cannot delete a message I sent by mistake. Sometimes there are messages dedicated to another client sent to another client so , I wish I could delete the message instead of apologizing for the mistake.

Overall the messaging system, AI Agent especially is the best including whatsapp for call center system. The Automation assignment to the agent work more than as expected.

Pros

The AI Agent very responsive and good understanding, this help a lot to reduce agent user. Integration with another app also very easy.

Cons

Need IP Telephony SIP (asterisk) Integrations for call, not only whatsapp call. This will make great solution for CRM Contact Point.
