March 24, 2025 5.0 Overall I think MaintainX is a outstanding system for all size businesses, as my experience has been positive. Organization of work orders, parts and the automated graphing is equivalent to having a clean area to work in, as it makes following tasks for work orders much easier. Pros Organization of work task using automated graphing would be my favorite feature of the MaintainX system. Cons I do not like when there are a abounce of work orders open because with the single row of work orders they seem to get lost. I have assigned roles, completed tasks, and this has allowed me to create suggestions for FIP, 5S, and more GMP protocols to be implemented into our plant. Pros The integration of the time and work that are put into creating preventative maintenance plans, as well as spare parts indexes are now considered Automated at our plant. It is still in the works to get the software more integrated closely with our departments, but I do see the effect and the visibility that the software provides through our different departments helps with having these projects completed as well. Cons A few cons that I have noticed with MaintainX are integrating the project owners with the plant. It takes effort from multiple departments to align these new processes into place. I noticed personally, that I am working on one of the project owner's tasks regardless of us having this software. I am hoping in the future, once this program is more integrated into our company, our main MaintainX point of contact can have more time with performing organization with Spare Parts, as this is a necessity for MaintainX to work. Pros Exceptional Ease of Use and Intuitive Interface- Maintain X is incredibly easy to learn and navigate Cons Dashboard can be crowded- new user may find the dashboard a bit overwhelming or crowded. Making it harder to get up to speed. Pros The end user experience was the largest benefit so far from MaintainX generating better quality data. This will lead to better data to make more informed decisions on plant assets. Cons The area i have liked least about MaintainX was the stores module around the cycle count functionality not yet being available for site to fully utilise. The set up process was smooth, training people on how to use it is easy & it has definitely helped our team be able to more easily request assistance from our facilities team. It has also helped us track preventative maintenance. Pros The software is very easy to use - both for those creating requests & those using the backend. The new AI features have made the backend processes even easier. Cons There really isn't much. If I had to pick something, I would say that it is easy for users to remove themselves from the organization on the device when creates extra work setting them back up. I am not sure why people even do that but they do sometimes. In addition, it does an excellent job of tracking and displaying standard operating procedures for people of all levels at a company. In addition, it is extremely customizable which we like alot and our team will continue to use MaintainX for years to come. Cons Automatic reporting is a feature that comes with the professional version of the software. Our team has not gotten to work with it yet but I think that this would unlock the full potential of the software and make it truly scalable. Review Source DA Devin A. It also helps up keep track of our parts inventory. Pros It's very easy to use and I know if I have trouble figuring something out, customer support is quick to help. Cons I can't say I have noticed anything I dislike so far. I'm sure there are some small features that could be added but nothing I have come across yet. Any time there have been issues, we've gotten good support and pathways to most things we want to accomplish. Pros The customizability allowed us to create a site that is more tailored to our maintenance program. The support we've received with set-up and troubleshooting has been helpful. The ability to add files to work orders/parts/locations is great. Cons Some things are not as user friendly as I'd like, but MaintainX is supportive. The parts inventory module leaves some things to be desired, but it seems like there are improvements in the pipeline. Now we are increasing our data set to capture our assets we will no doubt be further down the road in terms of asset management. MX has without doubt improved the way we work, and our team would say the same. Pros Very effective tool - and intuitive. This tool has improved our maintenance planning short and long term. Great tool for communicating across teams to address maintenance issues. As a manager it is very effective to monitor the status of work. We are in the process of including more procedure and audit, so proving very useful for contract management and health and safety. Awesome tool. Cons I have no issues with Maintain X as an operational tool. As we grow our information, we will have a mix of scheduled maintenance items and reactive. I'm aware you view these within the system. I'm wondering how we could separate these so we can view these on the main screen to separate the scheduled and reactive for each facility. If training needs to be performed technical support is always there to help. Pros I liked the customer service most of all. Any time I had any questions, the chat option was instrumental. Never had to wait more than 4 minutes to talk to a person, and they always had what answers I was looking for. Cons The constant dashboard reset after an update.
