“Other patching solutions always messed up the reboot order and it would cause chaos with users as would be unable to log in due to the patch software messing up. Because of this patching had to be done manually and that can be torture on Server 2016, that ended when we found Patch Manager Plus and it has been smooth sailing since.“

### "A great option for patching Windows devices"

March 12, 2026

4.0

I really enjoy using it. Support are quick to respond when tickets are raised, however sometimes it is difficult to get past 1st line. They are helpful though.

Pros

Patch Manager Plus is a great way to keep on top of patching the estate. It is especially good with Windows devices. There is a wide range of 3rd party applications that are in support. I've found it easy to use, easy to set up automated testing and deployment and I generally like using it. It supports Mac and Linux devices so you can also keep these up to date.

Cons

My current issue is that the support for 3rd party repositories for Linux is lacking. So Patch Manager is pushing out the OS updates, but no package updates for commonly used programs like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and VS Code. Support have put these things forward to the engineering team to see if it can be added in future.

### "PM+ Just What We Needed"

April 10, 2026

5.0

We have been a customer since December 2025. I have been impressed with PM+ so far, Product is good and pretty robust, support is good. As an Enterprise customer, we are entitled to 4 Health checks a year (if required) one on site and the others remote.

Pros

Firstly, during start up the support received was fantastic and all questions were answered promptly and in a professional manner. The interface is a little bit intimidating at first, but within an hr or so was comfortable navigating the console; with support on hand to respond quickly. Deployment of Agent is comprehensive and with multiple methods of delivery available. PM+, provide many guides which is useful and negates the need to contact support. Setting up APD Policies is logical and straight forward. Deployment of Patches are quick; much quicker than our previous solution. PM+ have managed to capture and deliver many functions to ease the burden of Patch deployment. As part of our subscription (on Premise) we have a variety of tools to use, e.g. Remote Control, WOL, Remote Shutdown/Restart to name but a few. They are serval useful functions and controls within remote control. I also like the way PM+ provide you with a forum with which you can ask for new functions; which they will review and advise if possible. Pm+ is an affordable Patching Solution which; you get a lot of functionality for your ££££

Cons

Like many consoles, there are a few quirks. Certain pages have a refresh where others do not, when searching for devices once you refresh it closes the search box, a minor annoyance. Dynamic Group creation suits our environment, however it not available to all functions within the console; although lesser favourable options are available but require more admin over head.

### "Budget friendly for small estates "

December 23, 2025

2.0

Easy to use - I would recommened it for small sites, with no remote users - as soon as you add any network complexity it gets lost.

Pros

Budget friendly. The management console is simple, easy to navigate, and pulling meaningful reports is a walk in the park.

Cons

Updating remote devices is more than challenging, even using the secure gateway. It is slow, painfully slow - when remote users do come into the office we try to update their devices while they are on site - and using PMP we seldom complete the task.

### "Efficient and Reliable Patch Management Tool"

April 12, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has been very good and a very useful product. It’s a reliable tool for centralised patch management, allowing me to handle both operating system and third-party application updates from a single console

Pros

The Patch Manager has the ability to automatically scan for missing patches in the client machines and download and deploy them across platforms, without any manual effort with the help on Automatic Patch Deployment. This is also supported to the non-Microsoft applications.

Cons

1.Sometimes the manual Deployment will take too much of time, and if it fails to deploy, then the tool doesn’t provide clear error messages to fix the failure issue. 2.We have mostly shared client machines, so multiple users are using the same machine, and some applications are installed on the user profile, like Zoom. And if another user is logged in, then the zoom of the other user's profile is not updated, and it will fail to deploy the patches.

### "Endpoint Central - Never without it"

April 8, 2026

5.0

Great experience with product and support. Patches for the product are released very frequently and they cover every type of operating system.

Pros

The easy of use of the solution. It is very simple to have an entire overview of the status of patches for every workstation and server of the company and so it is simple to plan the patching phase.

Cons

Nothing because I never had a major issue or problem with the platform and in every situation the problems where solved very quickly.

### "Robust and scalable"

April 21, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has been a mix of positives and some challenges: On the positive side, it offers centralized automation, strong third‑party application support, and compliance reporting, which makes patching across diverse environments much easier. However, certain infrastructure components like ESXi and VCSA are not directly supported, requiring manual intervention or OEM involvement, which adds complexity. Overall, it’s a robust and scalable solution, but it works best when paired with clear processes for handling unsupported systems and dependencies.

Pros

It provides centralized and automated patching across diverse environments, reducing manual effort. Its scalability and compliance features ensure consistent security across multiple regions and platforms. It supports both OS and third‑party application patching, giving complete coverage in one solution.

Cons

Here are some of the cons or least‑liked aspects of using ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus: Limited support for certain platforms – Infrastructure components like VMware ESXi and VCSA cannot be patched directly, requiring manual intervention or OEM involvement. Complex dependency handling – Third‑party applications often have dependencies that need additional approvals, which can slow down patch cycles. User interface and reporting limitations – While functional, the dashboards and reports can feel less intuitive compared to other enterprise patching tools. Scalability challenges in large environments – Managing distributed servers across multiple regions sometimes requires extra configuration and monitoring effort.

### "Reliable patching solution with great value for money"

March 11, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus has been very positive. It consistently performs well, reduces manual work, and improves patch compliance across the environment. Once configured, it runs smoothly and provides a dependable solution for ongoing patch management.

Pros

What I liked most about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus is the excellent balance between cost and functionality. It offers a very solid patch‑management engine that works reliably without requiring constant attention. The platform is easy to configure, intuitive to operate, and delivers consistent results across diverse systems, making daily maintenance much simpler.

Cons

The aspect I liked least is that the interface feels outdated compared to more modern management tools. While everything works reliably, the UI could be more polished, responsive, and aligned with current design standards. Navigation sometimes requires extras steps that could be streamlined for efficiency

### "So far, a great patching tool for my organization. "

December 13, 2024

5.0

I was about to have a penetration test and all of my servers were missing patches. I started to try to do it manually but after the first one I realized that I needed help. I installed the demo, deployed the agents and in a matter of a few hours had a fully functioning application and was able to deploy patches that evening.

Pros

PMP has a very intuitive dashboard that helps you get a quick overview of your system status. The deployment policies are easy to configure with alot of pre and post deployment options. The agent is lightweight and easy to deploy and the price is unbeatable.

Cons

It seamed to have some issues with the patches for Windows Server 2012 R2, but I wouldn't hold that against the product. Our fault for not upgrading these servers to more recent and stable builds.

### "POC patch Manager Plus"

July 2, 2025

4.0

Pros

The ability to enable an automatic patch profile is a nice benefit over other providers, since this way the deployment does not take long, and you still have a great overview over the patches for each device!

Cons

We use Intune, would be great if we could get rid of the agent and go through Intune for updates. The mac installer also needs an extra file, if I make a PKG with the installer and the file, Intune doesn't recognize it as a signed app and gives failed install messages.

### "Good Patch Management Engine"

November 28, 2025

5.0

Pros

Patch Manager Plus is a centralized, automated patch-management software for enterprises. It lets IT admins manage updates for operating systems and third-party applications from a single console. ManageEngine +2 ManageEngine +2 It supports multiple OS platforms — Windows, macOS, and Linux — which makes it suited to heterogeneous environments with mixed devices. ManageEngine +2 info.manageengine.com +2 Along with OS patches, it supports patches/updates for a wide range of third-party applications (many hundreds) — e.g. popular apps like Adobe, Java, WinRAR etc.

Cons

Some reviews mention agent-related hiccups or slow UI/response times, especially when managing many endpoints, particularly Linux endpoints. SaaSworthy +2 Reddit +2 For very large or complex environments, the patch catalog (especially for third-party apps) may still miss less-common software — it’s strong for mainstream apps but may not cover all niche tools. Reddit +1 If not properly configured (deployment windows, reboot policies, test groups), poorly timed patches can disrupt users — as with any automated patching system. As with any agent-based patching tool: you need to deploy and maintain agent software on endpoints. If some endpoints are unmanaged (e.g. BYOD, unmanaged Linux servers), you may need complementary processes.

Love this products, It keeps my machines patched very well! I have tried a few patch managers and this one is by far the best.

Pros

Cons

### "Flexible patch management"

November 27, 2025

5.0

I think it’s an excellent product because it supports a flexible design philosophy. As for operational impressions, I’ll be able to share more after I’ve had some hands-on experience.

Pros

It excels at automatically detecting the latest patches and keeping systems up to date at all times. The required settings are intuitive and easy to understand, and it can flexibly accommodate even complex requirements. In addition, its health checks highlight vulnerable areas, which improves operational efficiency.

Cons

If I had to point out one drawback, it’s that because it can flexibly handle complex requirements, some settings could feel buried. Once you review them, it’s unlikely you’ll miss anything, but I felt that intuitive, easy-to-understand options and more complex areas are mixed together.

### "Very useful an powerful tool for updating and security"

December 5, 2024

5.0

My overall experience is being very positive. I'm using the cloud version enterprise and having good results in order to maintain the servers and workstations updates. The test and deploy feature allows the process of updating almost with no effort for the technical team. It is indeed a very powerful tool once you setup correctly and have and update policy approved to back you up. We are studying to have the whole suite of endpoint manager to help our customers and client facing the challenges of keeping their systems updated and more secure.

Pros

Windows Agents are very fast and reliable Pre and After tasks could save a lot of time when you talking about rollback and debugging Patch database is always updated Mobile client are very handy when you want to see the update status and even to show to your clients and customers

Cons

No custom report generator Managing Custom Groups and remote offices is not an easy task the information that you can filter in order to move machines to groups is very limited Hard to move workstations from one remote office to another
