### "Implementation for Board and Cabinet of University"

December 16, 2021

5.0

Excellent! The implementation, training and then all follow up has been phenomenal. Questions are answered quickly. Our Board members have had an easy time using it from the start.

Pros

We now use OnBoard for all Cabinet Group Meetings, Trustee Meetings, and one on one meetings for President. We love being able to build the agenda and drag in all attachments without having to change them to PDFs. The resource section is very valuable to us to keep all our records in one place. Being able to set permissions for items is also extremely helpful.

Cons

The only complication we have come across is not being able to add a term without ending an end date for trustees.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

OnBoard seemed simple to implement and the cost was good.

### "Gulf Coast Cooperative"

5.0

As the General Manager, preparing for board meetings were taking up a significant amount of my time, even with clerical help. Now I prepare for my meetings in a fraction of the time with a much cleaner, professional product. Bottom line, my board uses the portal and come to the meetings prepared.

Pros

The portal was easy to use right "out of the box". It is built so intuitively that there is virtually no learning curve. I was able to just start using it. The most convenient part of using the portal is building my agenda and book. It literally saves me about a day per month. That pays for itself. It's very seamless and is constantly improving.

Cons

Early on, I did have a few issues with building the agenda. There were some small glitches, particularly when adding and organizing supporting documentation. But over time, the improvements have been integrated so subtly that I almost forgot about those issues.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

More reasonable pricing, but more importantly ease of use and product professionalism.

### "OnBoard Software "

April 20, 2021

5.0

We have enjoyed a very positive experience with Onboard. You are assigned a customer support manager that reaches out to you and listens to any suggestions that you would like to see. Many times these will be reflected in future upgrades. The Board is happy with the software, it is user friendly, displays well on computer, tablet, or phone. As an admin I am happy with the support whenever it is needed.

Pros

The software is very user friendly. Those with all levels of technical abilities are comfortable using the product. When bringing on new Board Members the training time is very minimal as the software is pretty self explanatory. I can be used on multiple devices - phone, tablet or computer and keeps the same look through all devices. In addition to the ease of use, it is very easy to access reports from past meetings.

Cons

I can honestly say that I am satisfied. In the beginning there were a few little things like the display of meetings, but this has been fixed in a past upgrade.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

OnBoard provided more value than the others. OnBoard did what the others did for a more reasonable price. Ease of use was also a consideration, some that were tried were very complicated to navigate and I knew that some of our Board members would not use it.

### "Onboard Makes Life Easy"

April 30, 2021

5.0

I love Onboard, I am an administrator of the product for my company and I use it daily to upload policies and procedures so that our BOD can review and give their input instead of calling meetings for that. It makes life so easy especially in this environment.

Pros

Ease of use Ability to schedule a meeting and create a book within the agenda with all necessary documents instead of emailing multiple documents. The ability to vote on on different documents and place signatures. Makes like easier. Can take minutes as meetings are ongoing. Customer service is top notch, they are always reaching out to ensure we are satisfied with the product. We use it to approve loans and do surveys. The ability to prevent downloading of sensitive documents, they are secure.

Cons

I would like them to incorporate MS Teams so that I can do everything via the software. I know they have zoom but MS Teams would be nice.

### "Onboard is super helpful "

November 20, 2019

3.0

I've had a very good experience with onboard. I've helped to integrate it into our advisory team and they love the fact that we can be more digital and print less. Our clients appreciate that we are taking on this green initiative within the company as well.

Pros

\-saves a ton of money on printing costs -can easily replace and add documents to a presentation -you can add users with different permissions to different sections of the meeting -you can save resources to the resources tab for offline use (no need to access a network drive) -great for meetings when the team is travelling

Cons

\-it is not easy to view documents within the software. Every time you upload a new document, the book re-builds so you cannot see the document until the book is done building

Reason for choosing OnBoard

I was not the purchaser of the product

Thank you for taking the time to review OnBoard! I'm so glad you are happy with the software and that it's helped your team. As for the builder, that can be a bit of a blessing and a curse. It updates, so your board members will have always up-to-date information, but it can be tough for you and it always updating.

### "OnBoard Review"

June 3, 2020

5.0

Pros

OnBoard is a very easy, intuitive system. I have only recently started using it (< 6 months) and feel it was very easy to learn and become proficient at in a short amount of time. We use OnBoard for all our Board and Committee meetings and communication. The eSignature function is one we have recently implemented and I love having it for our Board meeting signatures. The support team is awesome and quick to get back to me when I have questions. I would highly recommend this software.

Cons

There is very little I don't like about the software. The only thing it cannot do for me right now is incorporate an eSignature in with a survey. I would like to use the survey tool for the annual certifications our board and senior managers need to complete. I believe Passageways is looking at this being an enhancement in the future.

### "Good experience"

December 6, 2019

5.0

This has made our meeting preparation much easier. We no longer send materials by way of multiple attachments to multiple emails. We also don't copy and print materials that are promptly recycled following the meetings. The product is easy to use, and we've had success getting board members with all ranges of tech savvy to use OnBoard.

Pros

It's easy to set up meetings, easy to navigate from the end-user side, and can be used on a computer or tablet. Our board members weren't going to embrace this if it was a pain in the neck to use. Some of them had a little trouble with getting the account set up, but any issues were handled quickly. Most people got in and got started with no problem.

Cons

The invites expire after a week, and we would frequently need to re-send invites to join the portal when board members didn't act on them quickly enough.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

Better product for the money

### "Meeting and Conference Life Saver"

January 9, 2023

4.0

This platform is a must-have if you are tasked with collating materials for meetings and organizing all material after the fact. The level of organization and time saved using this program more than pays for the fees.

Pros

I no longer stress out over how to organize documents, minutes, and communication for large meetings. I sit in and host 3-6 meetings a week, and felt very scattered for years. Now, documenting and creating required records, be it for training, OSHA, or internal collaboration take about an hour to prepare and finalize. If an employee can't attend the meeting, I patch them in remotely. After the meetings, I can send follow-up reminders to the attendees, disseminate follow-up documents, and/or share the meeting minutes with superiors.

Cons

Analytics could be upgraded to dig deeper into employee attendance, input, and overall activity with the platform. A few minor issues with different elements of the system not communicating in real-time....such as agenda and minutes.

### "Useful board management tool"

April 9, 2022

5.0

We're using OnBoard very regularly. It's definitely cut down on the amount of paper we're using, easing communication relevant to each meeting, ensuring that everyone receives the same information/documents, etc. I think it's simplified our overall board preparation efforts, which in turn make the meetings less stressful for staff and easier to prepare for (and implement).

Pros

Our volunteer board has embraced OnBoard, and we use it exclusively for sharing content for our quarterly meetings - for the full board as well as individual committees. It's a great tool for sharing agendas and relevant documents, as well as simple mass communications.

Cons

Some board members who are less tech savvy have a little trouble navigating OnBoard, mainly remembering which icon to click to access which thing. Overall, issues have been minimal.

### "Moving to OnBoard was a great choice!"

November 8, 2019

4.0

Overall my experience has been great. After demoing multiple platforms, we chose OnBoard because of the best affordability, it's user-friendly, and the support has been stellar. Our set-up and support team have been there 100%, and go above and beyond to address questions and resolve any technical issues. To me, customer service and tech support are a #1 priority and rep, as well as the tech support team, have always exceeded my expectations.

Pros

OnBoard is a visually appealing platform, that is user-friendly and easy to use.

Cons

Feature availability, such as 1) downloadable material does not include an agenda page 2) surveys have to be closed before reviewing results, which limits the ability to know when to close the survey 3) announcement permissions are limited to Admins only. 3) The survey questions format lacks more enhanced customization

### "Idiot Proof Technology"

August 26, 2020

5.0

We've solved the complex issue of getting vast amounts of information to our Board members in a timely manner prior to board meetings. With OnBoard you can upload the files as they are completed and the program automatically creates the board packet which is seamless. We can upload policies, reference documents, etc. in easy to use and find folders. The whole system is a tremendous time saver. As for support, the staff is excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and kind.

Pros

The features I like the most about this software is that everything is very intuitive. As a professional whose first or second language is NOT mine, I appreciate the way OnBoard developed this technology. It's super intuitive, easy to pick up and use and virtually idiot proof. I started using OnBoard sooner after I started this position and after some 30-minute training sessions and mucking about the site, I understood the programming well enough to strike out on my own.

Cons

If there is anything to like LEAST it most likely has to do with my "user error." The software is easy to use, super intuitive and easy for our Board members to use and access.

Pros

The transition to OnBoard from our previous board portal was quick and painless. With some brief training, we were able to setup our document library and transfer our documents easily. Support from the sales and implementation team continues to impress. We would highly recommend OnBoard.

### "RRTS"

February 5, 2020

3.0

It's not as user-friendly as I had expected. Understand I have not used this type of software before, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was presented as such a phenomenal tool, and given my experience with it, I don't agree with that assessment.

Pros

It is not terribly complicated to use once you experience it and understand it, but I struggled with the limited instructions that are available to help you learn. I have been struggling with entering a survey, where the same answer options will be given for each question (and not the options you provide). After working on this over the course of 2 days and pulling my hair out at times, I called CS and heard 'oh yeah, that's easy to do" (of course your CS rep would say that, he's been taught how to complete the task). But I shouldn't have had to call CS for the answer; it should be in some tutorial or book at my fingertips.

Cons

It does not appear to be as customizable as we would like . . . we don't have the ability to change any formatting or appearance of the printed product, we don't seem to have the ability to add items to the agenda unless they are listed as an agenda item (sometimes we just want to add a footnote or additional note of explanation).

### "Onboard Review"

September 8, 2022

5.0

The support and ease of use were invaluable for me. When I joined the team Onboard was highly underutilized. Learning and leveraging the various components was extremely easy. Adoption by our board members was slow but within 16 months most of our board members began utilizing the platform for minutes, virtual meetings, and document signings.

Pros

Meeting links Document signing Survey distribution and analytics

Cons

Minutes could be improved by allowing the conversion of a pdf to upload the sections vs. entering data into each section of the minutes.

### "Onboard Review"

August 31, 2020

4.0

Pros

Easy upload and access. Easy access from Agenda to move quickly to presentation piece.

Cons

Have to close and open packages when updates are added. Board/committee members that read and leave open their package before a meeting don't realize they haven't seen a section that was added. Inability to take minutes directly in the application. Notes moved to another PDF on the Agenda from where it was originally made. Sometimes notes disappear and came back when logging in again. Updates cause touch ID to be turned off in application. Updates lose page preference settings and also each time you re-open documents in resources. Our organization prefers "Single Page Presentation" - would be better in user settings instead of having to change view in the document. In resources must change each document. Onboard Help Files -- do they update? Have their been no updates since 2/15/18?

### "Easy to use and a great value."

November 7, 2019

5.0

I reviewed six other companies when searching for new software for our company. When I did the demo for OnBoard I kept thinking that this software seems so easy and that I must be missing something. The more I reviewed and played around with the software the happier I was. OnBoard has not only been a huge time saver, but has made meeting preparation and follow up so much easier. The pricing was also far better than the other options I reviewed.

Pros

The software is very intuitive. The ease of the drag and drop feature to upload documents is really a time saver when populating meetings. Our Board of Directors have various levels of technical expertise and all found OnBoard to be quite easy to use. The mark up/comment tools are especially helpful.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about OnBoard. The software I previously used was very labor intensive and did not flow nearly as well.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

OnBoard appealed to me because of the intuitive nature. The low cost was also a major benefit.

### "Centralizing Information with Ongoing Demands"

July 21, 2020

4.0

It has been a positive experience overall. They are there to support you and offer assistance when and where needed to help make your Portal a success.

Pros

The software offers so many options. It is wonderful to see all this information within one location tied together. You have additional features to build out off of the main software, which allows even more functionality. It can really become a powerful organizational tool if you carefully plan and implement this the right way.

Cons

When you start the planning process, it can be difficult to know where to start. There are so many tentacles and information that can be linked. Finding how it will be managed within your organization and sticking to that method is key. Otherwise the information will not stay up to date and becomes unreliable.

### "Good and secure meeting portal for distributed teams or groups"

August 26, 2020

4.0

Nearly four years ago, our Board of Directors became geographically dispersed across multiple states which made dissemination of report packets via paper or non-portal electronic means impossible in a safe manner. OnBoard immediately solved this information security problem and also eliminated the needless wasting of many trees.

Pros

The product is easy to use and you can start your first meeting on the portal after just a couple days of setup for your groups and users (our total number of users across all groups is about 12 so more users will require additional setup time). It is very easy to build meetings with agendas and uploading documents is very easy.

Cons

All Adobe Acrobat bookmarks and markups including highlighting, comments, and added text are stripped out and lost when these documents are uploaded. Highlighting and added text (but not comments) can be retained if the original Acrobat documented is printed to a separate Adobe Acrobat file and then uploaded.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

Ease of use and setup of meetings was imperative and we love the ability to download each meeting packet in a bookmarked PDF file for archiving outside of the OnBoard product.

### "OnBoard supports Shared Governance"

June 3, 2020

5.0

We have appreciate the support and ease of use. Since our move to working remotely our users have more readily appreciated OnBoard and how it keeps us organized. In higher education, our committees are the way we have shared governance with our faculty and stakeholders, so making those committees function efficiently is essential. OnBoard has helped us do that. We appreciate OnBoard's staff for the support and willingness to add features as needed.

Pros

OnBoard allows us to keep our many committees organized. Our organization can see who serves on each committee and members can access materials quickly. Our agendas are often very large with lots of attachments. OnBoard keeps us organized and on the same page with members being able to navigate through the large agenda and make notes. We can keep track our our action items by voting online and seeing how we are moving our organization forward.

Cons

Would love to have a way for limited proxy voting where a selected Admin could vote for a member who joins by phone and may not have easy access to vote. It might be nice to have subgroups within a committee, but the logistics of this would take some work to build.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

OnBoard seemed to have the most comprehensive board/committee suite. The software supported multiple committees and lots of users for a reasonable price.

Our Board members are satisfied with it and they are able to see the documents ahead of time so that they may better prepare for the meeting.

Pros

I really like the ease with which I can create a meeting, agenda, and add documents necessary for our meetings. The product is easy to use and it was not difficult to integrate with our existing business processes.

Cons

The only con I see with this product is that sometimes our motions need more words than we have room for and I have to add a document to spell out the motion.

### "The Best Board Management Application for the Price"

April 6, 2021

5.0

I find the OnBoard app to be user friendly and has far more tools than our organization needs. My Board members are able to use it easily too.

Pros

The Board members of my non profit are volunteers so I do everything I can to make the best use of the time I need to take in their very busy lives but we also need to be able to share information in a secure manner. When we looked at Board management software options a few years ago OnBoard was the best bang for our non-profit buck. There were other applications that had more name recognition but we would have paid 10 times the price of OnBoard, plus OnBoard has all the tools we need for our organization.

Cons

We have been OnBoard users for a few years now and the price has definitely gone up in the past few years. In the beginning file uploads were slow and tended to be just a little bug-y, but the application had an upgrade a few months ago that fixed this problem.
