### "Fantastic Customer Support and a Great Tool"

August 4, 2021

5.0

We used to send out a stream of emails before board meetings with many, many reports attached to each email. It was frustrating to manage as the administrator of the meetings and I have to imagine it was equally frustrating to receive and manage as a Trustee. I love that I can upload all of the reports to the OnBoard portal and they're easily accessible once I've published them. And when last minute additions or corrections come in (as they always do), I can just update the book in real time. It's revolutionized how our board functions.

Pros

It's easy to pick up and fairly intuitive to navigate (there have been many improvements in the year+ that I've been using OnBoard and they've increased the ease of use even further). Most of our board members found it easy to learn and use.

Cons

There is sometimes a lag in the typing and/or saving that's a little frustrating.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

Price and Customer Service. From the very beginning, everyone I've interfaced with at OnBoard has been knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and creative in trying to come up with ways to accomplish the few things that the software doesn't have already built in. To a person, they've been great to work with.

### "Great Board Management Tool!"

April 18, 2022

5.0

Having board files in one location will cut down on the amount of Trustees needing me to track things down and will serve as a secondary backup of our precious files. Customer service is astounding, especially compared to what I experienced or see available with a more expensive, similar platform I demoed, and the interface is more modern than the other platform as well. So OnBoard looks and feels great and was well received. My life has improved since adding this feature, saving hours with creating Board materials.

Pros

This was a great cloud-based portal for full management of board materials, easy creation of Board Books, and creation of an archive in one location. This replaced a home-brewed portal that was difficult to use and clunky. Now, I can easily create and update board books instead of wasting precious time making manual, difficult updates using Adobe Pro. Great customer support.

Cons

Some features we don't have since unfortunately they cost extra. We also have a difficult usage case that has required some workarounds but that is on us for being complicated. I hope one day they allow more than one Zoom platform to be connected to the account.

### "Essential Tool for our Organization. "

November 24, 2020

5.0

Pros

I have been surprised how quickly OnBoard became an essential tool for our organization and how quickly our Board of Directors embraced this new technology for not only distributing our meeting materials, but also as a secure platform that allows our Directors to access information and records. Prior to using OnBoard, we were compiling our meeting materials into binders for each individual Director and every attendee to the meeting and not only was it time consuming and costly to produce these binders, but we would often incur an expense to print something that would be outdated by the time the meeting occurred. With OnBoard, we can update information in our Board Book with a few clicks of the mouse. I have heard from multiple members of our Board how much they appreciate OnBoard and feel the platform has enabled us to create a cleaner, more appealing, and more streamlined presentation of our meeting materials. Although there are features that do not align with the operations of our foundation, I use OnBoard almost daily. We have a very active Board who is managing a lot of exciting work for our foundation and we seem to constantly be preparing for a meeting - from the onset, the OnBoard platform contributed to completing our meeting picture and it never felt like a burden or hurdle because it is so user friendly.

Cons

OnBoard constantly wants to send out updates on behalf of our organization when I make updates to a meeting agenda, visibility, or materials and the mandate within our organization is to have communication directly with our Directors so we know what is being communicated. It would be great if I could set a default to not be asked about notifying our members as often as I am; however, I think it is important to note that when I do encounter an issue or want to provide feedback about how we want to be able to use the platform, everyone I have encountered with OnBoard has been extremely open and welcome the feedback.

### "OnBoard Benefits for our Organization"

December 15, 2021

5.0

My entire Board of Directors is thrilled with this product as I am. We all love having all of our documents, resources, meeting minutes and such in one central location. These items are available anytime with just a few clicks. Using OnBoard has made our board meeting process run more efficiently.

Pros

OnBoard allows me to be organized and share board agenda items with all board members simultaneously without having to send out individual emails or group mails to share documents. This software helped me not only to be more organized but as well it has saved me time in preparing for board meetings.

Cons

If I could change one thing about this software, it would be the ability to be able to change fonts size and color, this would help to make my presentations a bit more effective.

### "Board Management Software"

September 5, 2023

5.0

Pros

OnBoard provides a place to organize all meetings and documents in one place, which makes it easier to find what you are looking for. It is also great during meetings to have all documents uploaded in one place and easily accessible.

Cons

It would be nice to be alerted when members RSVP their attendance plans to meetings in OnBoard, rather than remembering to login and check attendance plans.

### "Review from Langley Lodge - Long Term Care"

April 21, 2022

5.0

My experience has been very good. I was provided great training by \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]. She was able to show me all the features and was a nice addition to the purchase of the software. I sign on daily even when I don't have any work to do inside the software. I really like using it.

Pros

The ability to create agendas and meeting notes. In addition the Resource folder is great. The ability to 'drop and drag' documents is a great feature.

Cons

There isn't anything I have seen that I don't like. As I move forward, I will assume there will be further enhancements to the software.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

The user platform is designed well, and is very user friendly. One feature that made us go with OnBoard was the meeting notes. This is a huge time saver and really allows for efficacy.

### "OnBoard for trade association board usage"

August 30, 2022

5.0

Training was great - it was one-on-one and over the internet. It made getting questions answered easy and allowed us to focus on the features we could not figure out on our own. The customer service/correspondence is amazing.

Pros

Simple to use, easy to train new users. Can upload multiple file types without the need to make all files pdf. It is constantly improving and notifications are sent out to alert you to the new features.

Cons

Features are sold in suites with no ability to pick off certain aspects that are more important than others.

### "OnBoard is great for our organization! "

August 5, 2021

5.0

Overall, our experience with OnBoard has been great! The customer service provided to me has been outstanding!

Pros

As the administrator, from the beginning, OnBoard was very user friendly. There was a bit of learning curve for some of our board members, but most picked it up really well and really like having the portal to locate all meeting information. One of my favorite features is the click and drag to easily add and build meeting information. There really are so many features that I like about OnBoard and the software has definitely improved my productivity!

Cons

I really don't have anything to list here. Integration of the software was very seamless and the time it took me to learn how to use it was minimal.

My overall experience with OnBoard has been refreshing. As stated in my rating above, we are an organization spread across the USA, record management and real time communications is very important. OnBoard has made our ability to retain records and connect with our membership, truly less stressful. Looking forward to continuing learning and working with OnBoard. The Board of Directors really need to engage in the on going training offered.

### "Exceptional software and professional employees"

August 11, 2021

5.0

The benefits from implementing OnBoard for our board management are countless! From day one the staff was professional, advised us during implementation, friendly, and respond immediately. It was a seamless implementation process. Our board started using OnBoard and instantly approved of using the portal for all board management. As the lead administrator and developer of the portal I have enjoyed the entire process and love all aspects of OnBoard and the staff. They provide ongoing training webinars and tutorials for new users. They are innovative and ask clients for feedback and features they would like implemented into OnBoard. I have recommended OnBoard to others and would highly recommend OnBoard to anyone considering board management software.

Pros

Impactful features include composing the agenda from a word document, Zoom links can be accessed from OnBoard, improved calendar, Resource Library. User friendly. New features, upgrades, and improvements implemented on an on-going basis. Integration was seamless.

Cons

There are no aspect of this software that are difficult to use. Seriously, there is nothing I don't like about OnBoard.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

Features, the look of the product, easy to use, amazing staff, and pricing!

### "OnBoard has made my Board management tasks a breeze!"

March 17, 2022

5.0

My board materials are now professionally housed in one place with an easy interface for my board to navigate and obtain whatever they need. The agenda timer has encouraged speakers to be more mindful of the meeting progress and keep things running on track. As an administrator, I appreciate the visibility into meeting analytics to know how they board is engaging with what we're posting.

Pros

My top 3 benefits since using OnBoard include: 1. Very reliable customer/implementation support and ability to hold on-demand training sessions for our board members if/when needed. 2. Very user-friendly and streamlined dashboards to keep my board aware of what they need to pay attention to 3. Meeting minutes builder makes it so much easier to capture my minutes that fumbling with templates and paper notes as before.

Cons

Overall I'm very satisfied but would appreciate minor tweaks such as being able to see a preview of the notifications my end users receive before they go out or screenshots of samples within the training guides. Also, further customization in the layout of the meeting minutes builder, the ability to attach multiple links and documents to announcements posts rather than just one per announcement, and less clicks to view annotations within the board book + a reply button to annotations instead of the need to post a separate message.

### "OnBoard is a Success!"

November 7, 2019

5.0

OnBoard provides a secure environment and ensures confidentiality of information. OnBoard provides efficiencies. We are not coping hundreds of pages, assembling notebooks, and mailing board books. Preparation for meetings is streamlined. Support from our customer success manager is excellent. I appreciate the training videos, webinars for users, and 24-7 support.

Pros

The board recognized the need for a secure platform for its work and wanted to move away from paper documents. We have a 13-member board, and trustees live across the country. The level of experience is varied among our trustees; however, the first trustee who agreed to move to a board solutions platform is the person with the least experience. And, she has had not difficulty using OnBoard. Some of our trustees were exploring OnBoard before we had a training session, and they found it easy to use. We offered one training webinar conducted by our Passageways customer service manager, which was recorded. The trustees used OnBoard for its first board meeting less than three months after acquiring the product and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The trustees found that navigating the site and the board book is easy. They appreciate electronic board books, earlier availability of information, and the ability to add documents as needed, even during the board meeting. In the past, material from investment managers and auditors was provided at the meeting. With OnBoard, these documents were available before the meeting, which dramatically increased the number of pages in the board book, but trustees had the opportunity to review information and prepare questions before the meeting. We were amazed that the use of OnBoard during the meeting went so well. I appreciate the ease with which you can change the agenda and and update/revise materials.

Cons

Because staff members do not have access to all board materials, permissions have to be set individually for each staff member. While setting permissions is not difficult, it is a learning experience, but our customer success manager is a good teacher and patient! While we have not yet implemented the actions function, we are looking forward to using it for approvals, surveys, and signatures.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

The board appreciated access to materials from the Association of Governing Boards. Cost was a consideration. The sales representative was knowledgeable about the product.

### "Digital Platform- Where have you been?"

December 9, 2021

5.0

The transition to a digital platform was made easy with the support given by the OnBoard trainers. Questions were promptly answered, training was easy to schedule, and I never felt alone during the process. Using OnBoard has decrease the use of copying and mailing meeting packets and the time consuming task of putting notebooks together for members.

Pros

\-OnBoard has been a wonderful addition to our organization. The easy of training and use has quickly changed the mindset of our groups and moved us into the age of technology! The meeting agenda set up is so simple to use and the Drag and drop feature makes loading documents quick and easy. Notifications keeps everyone abreast of upcoming meeting and materials.

Cons

\-Annotations were a learning curve for everyone and trying to get eSignatures set up for everyone was a challenge. I wish minute building was part of the basic package. I realize it is an add on at this point.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

The presenter during our product search did a great job reviewing the product, showcasing the features, and answering our questions.

### "OnBoard is the best board management software around"

July 19, 2021

5.0

OnBoard has made my board management process easier. My implementation manager \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is always checking in to see if I need help and making sure that I am aware of new or other features of the platform that are available to me. I am very satisfied!

Pros

I love using OnBoard for my board management. It is the "go to" place for all of our governance documents, meeting calendars, meeting agendas and attachments. It also allows the members of my board to communicate with each other and with staff management easily and seamlessly. It's super-easy to look back at previous documents, policies, minutes, etc.

Cons

At this point, I really don't have anything that I DON'T like about the software.

### "We love using OnBoard and so glad we invested in it!"

August 12, 2021

5.0

Truly exceptional - Really appreciate all of \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] help. Trent was great too in selling us on the product. You have a great team that we enjoy connecting with and the software is wonderful to use. Very thorough and we love it so far!

Pros

The ease of use, the storage of all information in one place, the opportunity for Board Members to connect directly with one another, unlimited storage, zoom integration

Cons

again, it's probably user error - so this may or may not be an issue - excel spreadsheets seem to not load well and are hard to read. It's probably an issue on our end, but creates for lengthy books for our meetings..

Reason for choosing OnBoard

Govenda was a close second - honestly, it was the references from other RMHC Chapters that use OnBoard that had us decide on this platform. Both were very similar but the RMHC Chapters really sold us on the training and customer service components. We trusted their experiences and glad we chose OnBoard!

### "How do individuals and businesses live without OnBoard?"

August 30, 2022

5.0

We have been able to use OnBoard for meetings with people in the same room or in different branches, for folks working at home during the pandemic, and a variety of situations. It saves me an incredible amount of time communicating with meeting attendees, and I can't imagine living without OnBoard ever again.

Pros

This software makes it possible to quickly and easily communicate important information about meetings with attendees. It is wonderful to know that everyone is referencing the same version of documents even if something changes between the time that you publish your documents and the meetings occur.

Cons

I wish it was less expensive per user so we could make this available to every employee within our organization.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

I was not part of the selection process, which occurred before I joined the organization, but I am sure that Opportunity Bank chose OnBoard over other products because of the cost, ease of use, and security features -- all of which are incredible important to our organization and industry.

### "EA Review of OnBoard"

October 28, 2021

5.0

Overall, I love it and have found it makes meeting agenda and minutes preparation so easy and fast (and fun!).

Pros

The agenda-building and minutes-building tools are so easy. Once one of the liaisons uses them, they don't go back to creating these documents in word. Makes co-creating simple and eliminates back and forth emails and eliminates version control issues. The user-interface is very friendly and intuitive. The updates show that OnBoard is really listening to users.

Cons

I wish that changes to the agenda could be automatically reflected in the minutes. Also, the attendance feature would be improved by the ability to drag and drop attendees into different groups.

### "Amazing upgrade from our last platform"

September 1, 2021

5.0

Pros

We could not have asked for an easier transition and implementation. OnBoard is so user friendly and intuitive. Our directors and officers are very happy!

Cons

The data collection from meeting analytics continues to be a concern for us. From a legal standpoint, it increases exposure to our users and we feel very strongly that it should be an optional feature. The essence of this concern is a scenario where our board of directors becomes subject to litigation that centers around whether the directors met their duties. If OnBoard is retaining data about a director’s usage of the platform, including, among other types of data, how much of a meeting book a director read or did not read, then that data is something that a plaintiff could try to use to show that a director failed to meet his or her duties, even though a director may have actually met their duties in some other way. This must be an issue for other users as well and should be at the forefront of OnBoard’s improvement developments.

### "VP Perspective"

June 3, 2020

4.0

Our Board is very happy with our initial experiences with onBoard, aside from the spam episode. Customer service has been good.

Pros

Initially, we just wanted an upgrade from hard copy board meeting books, and a better way to catalog all of our board activity. After reviewing the industry we realized we could also have powerful communication tools to enhance board function. The OnBoard portal met all of our requirements, but the ease of use was a primary concern---most board members are technologically proficient, but not all. The quality of our training for board members was terrific (Thanks \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]), and we were able to get functional usage rates up very quickly. After 8 months we are still increasing the number of functions we are using, but I can't imagine trying to run our recent full board meeting remotely without this tool. I really like the ability to embed the Zoom meeting function into the meeting details--that allowed a single log on for our recebnt committee and board meetings. s

Cons

Initially we had a significant problem when our Board emails were being spammed by the OnBoard software, each Board member was receiving hundreeds of emaisl---the problem was fixed over a weekend, and the Board understood---our \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] staff haven't been quite as forgivining. I don't like the scroll function when I am reading pdf's. The scroll moves some horizontally when I am trying to scroll vertically. I may need to resize my window, but it would be nice it the pdf didn't shift horizontally when I am scrolling vertically. I didn't like the OnBoard ad that showed up next to our Foundation info/log at login. We asked that it be moved, and it has been. '

### "SO glad we made the switch!"

February 13, 2020

4.0

Our experience with OnBoard has been excellent. From the sales reps. to the account managers to our Implementation Manager - everyone has been very responsive and helpful.

Pros

OnBoard is user-friendly and quite intuitive; it has been a life-saver when making last-minute changes to meeting agendas and materials; it's compatible with both Apple and Android devices; and going paperless has saved us a significant amount of time and money.

Cons

1\. Honestly, it's a bit on the pricey side. 2. When an agenda item (title, time, position on agenda, presenter, supporting document, etc.) changes, the software rebuilds the entire board book and any user's annotations/notes disappear - even if their annotations were made to a section that wasn't changed. It would be great if there was a way to retain an individual user's notes/annotations. 3. In the Analytics section, instead of just an Aggregate Count of Book Views by Role and an Aggregate Count of Meeting Views by Role, I would LOVE to be able to see exactly who has viewed board books and meetings so we can track who is engaged on the portal and reach out to those who are not and see if they need additional training or assistance navigating the portal.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

We chose OnBoard because of the user-friendliness and the availability of customer service and tech support.

### "Best Board Communication Tool"

September 7, 2022

5.0

This has been a great tool for our board. We started with the basic, core option, and have added features along the way. Essential for our success!

Pros

We use the messaging tool regularly, to address items quickly and avoid getting lost in the never ending thread of email communication. We also value having all the board materials attached to the meeting agenda to make content easy to review in advance, and review during the live meeting.

Cons

The messaging feature is very basic. I'd love if it has some additional features, like a "thumbs up" or simple emoji's that one would use while texting.

Reason for choosing OnBoard

It was very easy to use and had many mobile capabilities, including watch notifications.

### "Software Review by user"

June 8, 2020

5.0

My experience with OnBoard has been very positive. Again, the ease of use and support have been appreciated. I would recommend this product. Especially if you can utilize more of the features than we do.

Pros

I have enjoyed the ease of use. Through tutorials and support, we have been able to get our Board of Directors and upper management transitioned to using this for our board meetings and some policy updates/changes. It is great to get rid of the paper copies. We are currently using primarily on iPad Pros. I also use it on an HP laptop. Both work great and the updates have been easily handled by both devices. It is great to be able to go back to previous months/meetings and look up information. Especially some credit presentations that otherwise typically filled up inboxes. I like the capabilities that are either available or on the horizon for us. These include visual with meetings from multiple locations, approvals for loan requests, and tracking of voting by BOD members (or reminders that they need to do so).

Cons

We are struggling to utilize some of the capabilities. This does not mean that the issue is with this product, but it may be a part of our system that makes utilizing it difficult or not possible. We currently use OnBoard with GoToMeeting. We are not capable of utilizing the audio with GTM while using OB. Thus, we use our phone system which adds another layer and isn’t as seamless. I know that there is the possibility of using with Zoom, but that is not something that our technology experts feel comfortable with considering all of the security issues with Zoom. We would love to have our lenders use this product to track loan requests and responses by BOD members. The cost to do so with many lenders needing a license/account (not sure of correct terminology) for the few uses per month has kept us from doing so. BOD members are only using this over a three day period before and during our meeting and it Is hard to justify for some, but we hope that we can utilize more features going forward to justify the cost.

### "Great software to organize meetings and to get everyone on track!"

March 1, 2023

5.0

Excellent experience with the software as well as the support. Great team, great job. Easy to use platform.

Pros

OnBoard hosts a lot of features common to typical collaborative platforms but what makes it better is the flexibility and the efficiency with which it enables us to complete our tasks. Uploading multiple file formats viewable for everyone in the meeting, reminding people to vote without admin interference, smooth onboarding of users and just the overall user interface is excellent. No qualms getting even the least tech-savvy user to engage on the platform since everything is pretty simple.

Cons

Nothing much. There could be more formatting options available for communication. I heard they are adding Office 365 integration soon, which would make it much more easier!

### "OnBoard - excellent portal for university Board management"

September 12, 2023

5.0

Makes it easy to manage all Board communications, creation of agenda and minutes, calendaring, document archiving, retrieval, and distribution -- all leading to enhanced Board efficiency and effectiveness.

Pros

User-friendly; designed to please both the back-end administrator and the front-end (not necessarily tech-savvy) occasional user. Easy upload and management of documents. Comprehensive permissions functionality, from global to document-specific and meeting-specific.

Cons

All events (dinners, retreats, etc.) must be categorized as "meetings." Meetings functionality is excellent for Board and committee meetings, but not flexible for gatherings that are not meetings.

Improved functionality; better user-interface; vastly improved customer service.
