### "Google Slides is Worth A Try"

March 4, 2026

5.0

Overall, it's a good program, I use it regularly and although it's not PowerPoint, it's pretty close and get the job done.

Pros

Pretty easy to use and has many capabilities similar to PowerPoint. It's able to import PowerPoint documents and make them workable in Google slides.

Cons

It's similar to PowerPoint but could have some better features that I hope will get added in the future.

### "Google Slides is good but could be amazing with a few tweaks"

November 27, 2025

4.0

My overall experience with Google Slides is good. I enjoy using it, but do believe that there could be more features like slide transitions and visuals choices.

Pros

I like that Google Slides is free and easy to use. Power Point has more features, but Google Slides is the way that schools are heading and many of my Power Points can be opened in Google Slides.

Cons

I feel like the sound component does not transfer from PowerPoint to Google Slides well. It is a piece that is missing.

It was required in my public school setting and as part of our new Google Chromebooks.

### "Great free alternative to Microsoft PowerPoint"

September 25, 2025

3.0

Overall I have had a good experience with slides. It's a little tricky if you use both slides and PowerPoint because of their slight differences but once you pass the learning curve it's not too bad. It is nice that this is free - where as PowerPoint is a paid product. I also like that you can customize the share feature to control who can edit vs who can view.

Pros

This product is free to use and has many similar features to PowerPoint which is nice for those switching from Microsoft products. Great templates that help to elevate the presentations and many customizable features. Easy to download as pdf and can be used for team collaboration is using an online version.

Cons

Not quite as seamless as power point when it comes to formatting. The way that the tool bar constantly collapses is frustrating because you have to keep popping it back open in order to make edits. I would say Google Slides isn't as highly respected as PowerPoint in the corporate world but you can get around that by downloading as a pdf.

### "Google slide review "

December 11, 2025

4.0

Overall it is great and I definitely prefer it over power point. It’s smoother and i definitely took to it more “naturally” than I did power point.

Pros

Ease of use, PowerPoint is more “clunky” it does not flow as well as Google slides. Maybe is a visual or aesthetic.

Cons

I think it should open up more premade slides. I’m in Emergency management and that field has yet to be covered. I think it would be beneficial for the future.

### "Easy to use and can access anywhere!"

January 3, 2026

4.0

I use it on a weekly basis. I create a ton of slide presentations and like that I don’t have to save the slides to a thumb drive. I just need to login and open the presentation. Also, like that, I can pull a sly presentation up on my phone for review and preparation.

Pros

The platform is very easy to use, and our city has adopted Google as its official platform. I also like that I can access it and make changes in a variety of ways, while also providing edit access to other users.

Cons

The program does have some limitations feature wise in comparison to Microsoft PowerPoint. Specifically, PowerPoint has adopted artificial intelligence features.

### "The easiest way to make and share presentations"

September 15, 2025

5.0

Google Slides is a perfect complement to the other Google Workspace features. It is very easy to throw together a presentation that works seamlessly with Google Meet. I can save it for offline access and download PDF copies too.

Pros

I can easily create presentations that are accessible from anywhere. They are easy to share and collaborate in real time.

Cons

I don't have any complaints. Google Slides gets the job done. I have no idea whether it has fancy bells and whistles because I don't ever need or want that. It does what I need.

Google Slides is just easier to access, share, and collaborate. I do still use Powerpoint at times, but my go-to for meeting presenations is always Google Slides.

### "Auto-Syncing Presentation Platform"

July 23, 2025

5.0

Pros

Google Slides allows me to make presentations among teams with edits from other users in real time. Additionally, it provides the ability to import presentation templates that keep the formatting in place.

Cons

Google Slides has challenges to animate graphics or text in presentations. The animation features are less complex compared to other platforms, which make sit so that the animations within the presentation are less complex for the better or worse.

### "Excellent for students and professionals "

March 10, 2026

While this has been a great prop to help me prepare for presentations I have most enjoyed watching students as young as 4th grade learn to use it and make presentations thy are proud to share!

Pros

Google Slides has been an asset to our school as we introduce students to technology and various applications. It is easy to use, intuitive and provides a professional end product students are able to customize for their projects. Professionally it makes for easy collaboration on my team reducing turnaround time and improving productivity.

Cons

I haven’t found any aspect of Google Slides that I don’t like! Love that it’s easy to learn and I can quickly prepare a presentation to a variety of audiences.

I’ve used Google slides to create presentations for work and personal projects. I like the creative and visually appealing designs available

Pros

Google slides offers a creative way to create a presentation for personal and professional presentations. I like the format and design options available

Cons

### "Sliding in to Google Slides"

February 28, 2026

5.0

Google Slides is an excellent platform to create and manage presentations for truly any purpose. It is uncomplicated and a good choice for beginners!

Pros

I love Google Slides as both an educator and as a manager. It is easy to use and create presentations through the many templates offered and the ability to create my own.

Cons

The only cons I've encountered with Google Slides seems to have stemmed from my own making. Moving text and photos on mobile is hard due to the sensitive nature of the boxes but that is only on mobile!

### "Slides and Design, 10/10!"

September 24, 2025

5.0

Overall, I couldn’t be a high quality teacher without this tool in my toolkit. With the endless possibilities for customization and sharing abilities, it needs many needs in one app.

Pros

The fact that you can use Google Slides as a free service if you sign up for a Gmail is an absolute life hack. Not only do I use Slides for designing and presenting curriculum, I also use it as a home decor planning tool. There are so many capabilities within this presentation tool that make it valuable beyond its intended use.

Cons

I wish there was a remove background tool within Google slides, that would be a game changer. I would also love to see word art as an in app option.

### "Excellent tool and user friendly"

August 16, 2025

5.0

Google Slides is versatile and its features are interesting and well designed, it lets me easily create presentations on TV or any other screens.

Pros

I like Google Slides, it’s easy to use and most of its features are interesting and free. It lets me make a lot of presentations online and in groups. I really like the fact that I can take the templates it offers me and modify them for personal use.

Cons

It’s a good tool, but I think they could increase the offline features. Sometimes when the internet connection is bad it becomes hard to work smoothly, so having stronger offline options would make it much more reliable.

### "Google Slides Has its Perks!"

March 24, 2025

4.0

I think Google Slides is great for various purposes, although I feel there is room for improvement with premade templates and presentation editing features.

Pros

I like how Google Slides can be used for a variety of purposes. I prefer it for my personal, academic and work needs. It has great formatting features and it is super helpful to make my own educational materials using the platform.

Cons

I think Google Slide's premade templates are outdated and there is limited ways to make presentations stand out on the site. I usually use Google Slides when I need to format educational materials for work use but no longer to make presentations.

### "Simple, Collaborative, and Cloud-Friendly Presentation Tool"

November 20, 2025

5.0

Overall, Google Slides is a solid, user-friendly tool, especially for teamwork and remote collaboration. It may not satisfy users looking for highly advanced slide design features, but it’s perfect for most presentation needs.

Pros

I really liked the collaboration features in Google Slides. Being able to work in real-time with others, leave comments, and see changes instantly is a huge plus. The cloud-based system also makes it easy to access presentations from any device without worrying about file transfers. Templates are simple and clean, which helps in creating professional-looking slides quickly.

Cons

I found that Google Slides is somewhat limited in design and animation options compared to software like PowerPoint. Offline editing is possible but not as seamless, and some advanced formatting can be tricky.

I love that Google Slides is easy to navigate and edit. I also like that it provides you with pre-populated themes that you can easily import. I love the presentation features that you can customize to make your slides right for you.

Cons

I don't have much to say, other than you need internet access to fully edit your slides and it doesn't have as many customizable options as some other advances presentation software.

Overall, I love google slides and will be utilizing it in years to come. I was introduced to Google Slides in high school, and I am confident this software will only improve with time.

Pros

Google Slides is collaborative, easy-to-use, and technologically advanced. With the help of Google Slides, I was able to successfully create my final portfolio project during my last semester of college with the help of Slides.

Cons

Inserting attachments, such as pictures and YouTube Videos, sometimes is quite challenging and doesn't look aesthetically pleasing.

### "Google Slides — A powerful tool to make more than just slideshows"

August 28, 2024

4.0

On top of the presentations, I use Google Slides on 9 TV's as digital a digital menu. The ability to update the information being shown on any device without the need to install anything is great. I love that I can change something on the fly and have it update on the TV without having to move files around.

Pros

Google slides has been great to use. The best part is that it's free and integrates with all my other google services without issue. I love that I can be working on desktop and seamlessly transition to working on my iPhone when I leave.

Cons

There's not a lot to complain about, Googles suite of products offer some of the best value. The only thing I could pick at is the different placement of the ui objects and some minor differences in terminology. That may only be a con if you're already familiar with another software.
