“The main issue & likely the reason I will discontinue using Carsforsale in the future is it lacks a Buy Here Pay Here user option. When first beginning the business I was not aware that a large percentage of potential customers request BHPH availability before even reviewing our inventory, if that's not available, they simply go elsewhere. If I had been aware of this need initially, I would not have selected Carsforsale as my DMS.“

I have always been happy with Carsforsale. I receive a lot of pitches from competitors. It is hard for them to bash CFS because the pricepoint is amazing, and the functionality is all there.

Pros

It is the best bang for your buck when it comes to website, CRM and lead generation. I am not certain where else you can pay $100 a month and receive all of the services and benefits we receive.

Cons

The only thing that I am not 100% stoked about is the inability to make changes without contacting support. I wish that our website could be updated and changed often without opening up a service ticket with customer support. Truthfully, though, that appears to be the only negative I've encountered.

Price and the customer support I worked with initially was extremely impressive. (Not to say they aren't still, but I just remember being glad I spoke with them.)

It was about 6 years ago when we made the switch. I was working on cutting expenses prior to forecasting for the next year. The product we were using was closer to $900/month and Carsforsale seemed to be a respectable alternative at a much cheaper price.

Its a good price for what you get. Alot of good options, Crm, inventory management for smaller dealers, included website

Cons

Never really got any leads or many clicks from it. Could just be my area or online marketing in my area isn't the best route. Ill really never know I'm no longer in business

### "Great for mainstream dealers, not quite there for niche dealers"

For any mainstream car dealer, picking CFS is a no-brainer. Their helpdesk is top notch, they have flexible designs and loads of integrations. But if you sell classic cars or want to add an eCommerce store, they are, at this time, not a suitable solution.

Pros

Flexible designs, many options, and most of all, an extremely responsive helpdesk team. By far THE BEST helpdesk I've worked with in the last 10 years.

Cons

Once you ask something that is not in the platform, it takes FOREVER to get them to work on it. Their internal development teams are WAY TOO SLOW to pick up totally logical use cases, and even to fix bugs.

It's a pretty sick little website platform that feels like a hidden gem in the industry. Miles better than my experience with Dealer.com. I'm surprised more people don't use CfS websites.

Pros

Excellently priced, extremely prompt support, and responsive, flexible design tools that give me full control over the look and feel of the site. \[insert thumbs up emoji here\]

Cons

Website performance (i.e. load times, image quality, etc.) could be better but for $99 you're not gonna catch me complaining TOO much.

TBH I have no flippin idea who I looked at other than CfS at this point (it's been a very long time) but CfS's monthly cost was so much lower than the competition that I would have been a FOOL not to switch.

Easy process, simple and friendly. Always working with me. I get good amount of leads through their lead generator

Website designs, marketing. They have Facebook market who generate leads

Fine I guess. It worked when we were small

Pros

I could see competition in the area. Auto filling vehicles features

Cons

I had zero control of the backend of our website. I had to ask to update pictures or anything to do with the layout. No control over SEO and image captions (seo). Carsforsale wouldn't show our vehicles if the company phone number was in the image. Didn't display our phone number to steal traffic. Customers can easily choose a different car lots vehicle. The proprietary element of Carsforsale sucks and ruins the experience.

Pros

It is pretty easy to use. I also like that it goes directly to my website.

Cons

I have large heavy equipment and wish there was a category for that. Even if I had to enter "other" for the Make of the equipment.

Took off one star because I can not directly load videos to my website. I have to load them on Youtube and then include the link. Would rather be able to directly load videos.

Pros

It is fairly easy to upload inventory and inexpensive, gives our business an online presence. Customer support is top notch and far exceeds expectations at this price point.

Cons

Vin scan is frustrating as it has about a 20% sucess rate. Picture upload is slow at times.

I am some how ok with the whole service provied to me

Very professionally and smoothly running the website

Cons

My suggestion, if you guys make it easy for us to use mobile app, example when entering a new unit while using mobile app we should be able to mark all pictures at once of our choice, not going back and forth to gallery for each picture, on desktop it is a little easier because on desktop computer you can drag picture one by one which is still needs one picture at a time. While doing same listing in facebook you can just mark all pictures and one click next all done
