It helps us keep track of when case files need to be checked on, holds all documents that we attach to each file in case something where to go missing we always have smart gov to fall back on. Our building permit department as really took hold of all the features this software has to offer and has ran with it and made it into something so user friend as well. We absolutely love this software has really help our office get out of the " STONE AGE ERA" and really take hold of todays technology. Working across the tabs are helpful. Calculations entered make work easier for many users. In our workload, the associations are used daily like this feature the best! Pros The way you can manipulate different workflow steps to get a permit put together from initial application to closure. The new \[sensitive content hidden\] seems to send our updated more often and attempts to keep up with the demand needed for the system. Pros I enjoy the dashboard and the ability to create short-cuts to the sections I use the most. Cons The billing features are messy still. I know the customer service team is in the middle of trying to meet our demand but its taking a long time to complete any changes we want with the system. Review Source AH Angela H. We work with multiple departments and some county departs have a different tracking system and so they have multiple systems and SmartGov is not used often as our department. We lack training on our part. September 28, 2022 5.0 So much easier and better than our previous 4 software programs! Pros Departments share information. Case history, communication history, document sharing. ONE place that has everything! No more checking 4 different databases and manually extrapolating the information. It saves TIME, reduces misinformation and ultimately serves our customers better! Cons The Sharing process seems counter intuitive. Selecting "PRIVATE" so the customer may see it does not make sense. I can keep track of multiple projects from the dashboard and easily see what needs to be done. Payments and scheduling inspections are easy. Cons My main complaint is more to do with the options an AHJ sets in their submittal requirements. Found the more I get into the program it wasn't that complicated. Pros Use, once you get the hang of using the features it seems to flow.
