Rethink Behavioral Health is an EMR and billing service built specifically for ABA therapy practices. Our solution is an all-in-one, HIPAA compliant technology that includes EVV to simplify ABA data collection, advanced video-based RBT training for staff, and scheduling tools. Here is a cautionary tale... Rethink has a decent fleshed out system to do what many of us need to. The program itself was not our issue. They engage in predatory contractual behavior. We had a 1 year contract which auto renewed on Dec 1. We initiated mutual discussions on October 17th regarding reducing our package and number of providers. There was never any follow-up on ReThink's end. We followed up multiple times and there would be a response to our follow ups but nothing further as we honed in on a mutually agreed direction. All correspondence was left ambiguous. We yet again reached out in December to check the status or what we needed to do and were told the contract auto-renewed and changes needed to be completed prior to December 1st. We were active in this processes and followed up prior to December first, they declined to engage in healthy business practices as we were willing to stay on at a more limited scope and would likely use them more broadly in the future. Instead the answer continued to be "it auto renewed, nothing we can do" and continuing to charge $2600/mo. We are now disputing their charges through legal routes. This is not some rant from an unhappy customer. We stuck to the contract, paid in full for the year, engaged in good faith discussions about restructuring prior to the auto renewal date, and were willing to stay on with the restructure. It is now clear their ambiguous correspondence and lack of any actual follow up then immediately leaning on this auto renew date was likely intentional so it would renew at the same high rate. This is predatory corporate behavior, and they just lost a customer they likely would have had at even higher rates for many years. Beware of this if you use them. Again, program itself was not the issue here. It is the predatory business practices.

Pros

some useful software features. Does what it needs to do in terms of basic data collection and charting.

Cons

Predatory business corporations. Auto renewal even when trying to adjust program needs and company needs prior to deadline. Awful customer service.

Overall, i would say that Rethink is an app that is well automated and has an excellent understanding of its user base towards imoroving functionalities for its users.

Pros

The Rethink behavioiral health application has been a great app for the counselling team. We have great value for money as we have minimised operational hours significantly especially around data collection, schedulling and billing. Our staff members also enjoy good relationship with our xkients because of the ease of mind the application brought to the team.

Cons

The Rethink app does so much and even with the invention of rethinkBH+, we worry about less. For the cons, i would say we do not have followup from the team but i do not think this is necessary as the app is quite easy to use after deployment.

Terrible. When you see all they can offer it seems like a dream come true. They bring in with fancy features and options but the bells and whistles do not work when the rubber hits the road. This will make very hard for you to deliver services.

Pros

They have an expansive array of things that they can provide. Onboarding was great. The security is so good we often could not log in which is both a pro and a con.

Cons

Customer service and response is terrible. As mentioned onboarding is great. They drop you after that though. The lack of response you get from them will impact your ability to serve people and they do not factor that in to response times. Our company has waited 3-5 days for responses. The responses often do not fix the issue. There are a lot of excuses made about how busy the support and help desk people are which is a red flag.

Overall, Rethink worked when we were a small ABA only organization. As we grew and started to provide different services and different service lines, it did not work. Even worse, when we went to leave Rethink, they stopped responding. The customer service is deplorable.

Pros

Rethink is not complicated to learn and create programmings for ABA clients. It is user friendly with programming and data review.

Cons

The customer service is non-existent. I constantly reach out and send follow ups to emails and do not get any resolution. Rethink could not work for our practice as we added different lines or service and we were led to believe it would. It caused incredible hardship for our practice.

Despite the cost, it is a neat program that helps manage behavioural health clinics tremendously.

Pros

Rethink is a great tool and is relatively easy to manage. It saves so much time once everything is set up and makes scheduling and RBTs a breeze.

Cons

It takes a little bit of a learning curve to set up, but the app offers a lot of support in doing so. It also could offer a bit more customization in certain areas.

I wouldn’t recommend it. If they were responsive to requests or questions outside of wanting to cancel maybe. But with the lack of disclosure and the no response even when it was something such as pricing out how to add billing I’d say no for the cost.

Pros

While it is nice to have templates to edit and have a lay out for. The resources and RBT training are nice to have.

Cons

I have to enter environmental stimuli individually for every graph, sometimes I had trouble getting things to actually master and be removed, even though they talk about sales tax in the contract they don’t collect and didn’t disclose that to me when I signed the contract so now I’m stuck in a contract with a product I have to track the tax for and file separately with my state which I wouldn’t have done had I know. It’s difficult to reach anyone. I sent 5 requests for information and no one got back to me until I requested information on how to cancel. Renews as a yearly contract without resigning, warning, or contact. Also any changes start a new contract and extends the year date.

We used it for about a year and then decided to look elsewhere.

Pros

I loved the resources it gave, the educational visuals and storage to file our own visuals. It was also easy to navigate.

Cons

It lacked features needed for the ABA industry that are extremely important. An easy scheduling feature that was easy to use and visually displayed so that staff could easily recognize their sessions.

QB only does accounting and basic billing and doesn't have features needed to run an ABA company. We still use QB for our accounting and payroll to date.

At first it seems like they have great customer service but they don’t. My overall experience has been extremely frustrating. No one is able to help solve the issue. Meanwhile they keep pulling money out of my company account.

Pros

The platform was pretty easy to use. I have nothing else positive to say.

Cons

The customer service is awful. We switched platforms due to the horrible billing system (Kareo/Tebra) and have literally been charged for billing that we didn’t do for 5 months. Our single use contract expired and they’re still pulling money out of our account without permission. Had to put a fraud case with the bank. We haven’t billed anything in over 5 months yet we are being invoiced for supposed billings.
