Pros It is almost at the level of enterprise alternatives (Adobe Target) with a no-brainer price and much user friendlier. It's seriously very powerful and polished. Not at that beta-level of SAAS with a clunky UI. It's ready for the road, just needs a few more features added to be unbeatable. I ran into an issue with how I had configured a split test, and their support rep \[sensitive content hidden\] jumped in quickly, walked through my setup in detail, and helped me get the campaign and goal tracking cleaned up. He was patient, clear, and made sure I understood why things were behaving the way they were. After that call I felt confident our test data would be accurate and that we had a partner who actually cares about results. Pros Personizely gives a strong balance of value and features. The targeting options are flexible (UTMs, query parameters, device, etc.), and it was straightforward to set up a homepage split test without needing a developer. I like that goals can track clicks and form submissions across multiple URLs, so we can see the full funnel impact of a test. For the price, it feels like a very capable optimization tool. Cons The documentation is pretty light and a bit sparse, so you end up relying on trial-and-error or support more than you’d like. It particularly helps with the countdown element, as this creates some form of urgency amongst our audience, and ensures they sign up to events there and then. Pros Drag and drop functionality makes it easy to design, and there are a huge amount of elements I can include, for a range of different campaigns, whether its to collect data, offer a discount code, show people where an event is or to get them to sign up to social pages. This makes campaigns really easy to define, and report on! Cons The biggest con of all for me is the fact there is no undo button. Very often I will try something within the tool, push it to preview, decide its not quite right so click on the close, and it takes me right back to the start. Personizely offered a more streamlined experience with advanced targeting and direct integration into our HubSpot workflows, which made it a better fit for our client campaigns. I have been able to build what I need and can see what a useful tool it is. I recommend the owner goes onto all Youtube and reddit and with topics discussing "Wix upselling app" & promote the app, because it was hard for me to find an app that upsells before check-out. Great app & Great customer service!! Pros It's great to have an app that works well alongside Wix to help with upselling. It is pretty user friendly and the customer service assistance is great. Cons It would be great if the designs for the upselling pop-ups looked a bit better. More templates & easier integrate with the mobile and desktop version. Reason for choosing Personizely there were a few upselling tools I researched. They made no sense, because upselling after check-out is not a good idea. The personalization is easy to use in terms of the builder, while the logic - the targets - less so, and has caused me quite a few headaches and a lot of time. But if you are even a amateur developer, you will get the hang of it eventually - and then personizely performs! But it is not plug and play, until you get to that point pf having familiarized yourself with the backend. Pros The hyper-targeted personalization. The support! Cons Many new concepts are somewhat difficult to grasp initially, and like most other software, I had to come back 2-3 times to restart my efforts in order to harness the power that Personizely offers. It is easy of course to point out UI and UX, but they are actually quite fine, once I understood how Personizely is built. But a steep learning curve is a con and it caused quite a delay for me before reaching a satisfactory understanding of the software in order to execute my ideas rather easily. Worth it - yes. But templates or easy accessible video tutorials would have eased my way into Personizely a lot more. But support is there each and every time, so although time-consuming on their and my end, I always get there with the help of support. It allows you to create really unique customer experiences, especially in cold email outreach. We customized the website according to the information we had about the specific customer (name, location, etc.)... Result? Huge increase in conversion rate! And that's just one of the many use cases you can use it for. The sky is truly a limit. :) Cons Sometimes little difficult to set everything up. Other than that, quite a mature product! There is a good list of email autoresponder integrations, which is rare on other tools. Cons It is tricky to edit different elements in your pop-up and also other elements on your website when you set up A/B testing and website personalization. I find myself getting frustrated setting up my pop-up the way I want it.
