## What is 8am LawPay?

8am LawPay is a legal payment management software. It provides a suite of tools to help law firms streamline their payment and billing processes securely. The software caters to a range of legal practices, such as bankruptcy, criminal defense, family law, and immigration law firms. LawPay includes secure online payments, allowing clients to pay via debit/credit card and eCheck. Firms can set up scheduled payments, recurring payments, and securely store client card information. I have not had any issues since I began using 8am LawPay, it is simple to use and is a very stable application.

Pros

Very easy to use, both for Staff and Client initiated transactions. You cannot make a mistake when using the application, the program will not allow you to. Great design.

Cons

I would like a to be able to customize some reports. The canned reports are good, but I sometimes need something a little more robust for those meetings with our \[sensitive content hidden\]

Overall, my experience has been good. I haven’t had problems using the program and the cost is reasonable.

Pros

I like that it offers clients a variety of ways to make payments. I also like that it can be easily used within my case management program.

Cons

I wish reporting was clearer. Also, when I send a payment request directly in the program, we are very limited in what we can say in the email sent to the client.

Cons

I do not have any cons that I have came across at this time. Everything that I have needed to use 8am Lawpay for has been great!

We use this daily to process credit card payments from our clients. We then use the reporting features to reconcile to our bank.

Pros

The Reliability of the Software. We've been using Lawpay for years and it's always there- readily available for us and our clients to process payments.

Cons

Some of the new changes have taken time to get used to. Also, it seems that some of the reporting features used to be simpler.

I provide front office administrative support and LawPay makes it easy to process direct card charges.

Pros

The user interface is easy to navigate. The system also doesn't punish me for simple misspellings when running charges.

Cons

Other options beyond direct charges to cards are squirrely. ACH payments get rejected after LawPay tells us they went through...

My overall experience has been amazing. Have been using 8am/LawPay for well over two decades and would highly recommend the product to anyone that asks.

Pros

We receive very secure payments, processing times, great support with disputes, extremely professional services, and overall great reporting. Have always valued the security aspects of it.

Cons

Wish it would integrate more with different platforms, and not require manual payments to be entered.

My experience with LawPay has generally been seamless and transparent. I don't have to think about it much, which is what I want. LawPay reminds me when I have to update my compliance, which is also helpful.

Pros

It makes processing electronic payments quick and easy. As a solo practitioner, I do not have time to handle many administrative aspects of my business, so I rely on LawPay to handle electronic payments securely and legally.

Cons

I would like to have more options for electronic payment. Is there a way to incorporate Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, or other similar platforms?

LawPay has made my law practice work more efficiently by allowing me to bill clients and get paid in a timely manner

Pros

LawPay is a great utility for sending billing statements and receiving payments. The learning curve is almost non-existent because the program and options are so easy to use. LawPay makes getting paid quicker and easier.

Cons

I don't see LawPay having any cons for my Solo Law Practice except the initial setup and approval process
