### "LOVE Skimmer!"

I've really liked Skimmer so far, their customer service is awesome and everyone I've spoken with has been so helpful. If they don't know the answer to my question they take the time to find the answer and call me back. It's so comforting knowing I can call and speak directly to a human every time I call, or email.

Pros

Skimmer is tailored so well to the pool industry and has helped us manage our cleaning technicians so much more efficiently. I can see a quick snapshot where everyone is at in their day and know exactly what is going on at each pool in a second.

Cons

Their scheduling for repair technicians isn't great yet, but I'm hopeful for their new update on the software coming soon. I would just like to have a calendar to see how many repair jobs are on for the day instead of just a list of jobs, having it that way makes it really hard to schedule efficiently.

Skimmer is a fantastic tool to keep track of all things "Pool" business. Customers being able to see everything from the portal is incredibly helpful and insightful.

Pros

Ease of use, reporting is very helpful, being able to communicate thru email notifications is very helpful.

Cons

Nothing major...Payment delays can be frustrating, Needs more equipment options, certain pieces of equipment are not in system.

No benefits, just pain. We are moving away from Skimmer. It is a horrible product.

Pros

The ease of implementation. The app is intuitive.

Cons

Several. The app is buggy and for the first year of use, whenever we would complain about a software issue, Skimmer personnel would blame us - either our internet connection wasn’t good enough, we were out of date on updates, or the software wasn’t intended to be used with Chrome. They would never accept responsibility. Invoicing within the program has been promised for more than a year. It still is t ready. Now, the ability to transfer invoicing to Quickbooks is broken. It has been broken for more than a week and all we get is “sorry for the inconvenience.”

In the 3+ years we have been on the software only once has system gone down and that was taken care of quickly. Customers like the format and it adds value to the service. Unless pricing forces us to switch at some point its the best software we have used or tested.

Pros

Easy to use app in the field and most applications are simple and straightforward. Aapreciate they are continually adding features.

Cons

Pricing model makes for no way to improve your costs as you pay per customer once over the starter package.

After transitioning from QuickBooks it was a little bit of a learning curve it was easy to learn and has saved me countless hours and hundreds of dollars

Pros

I like the integrations that have been added lately and being the one stop software for my company. From Invoicing and to dosing.

Cons

There seems to be bugs often, while fixed quickly, can be annoying on the service day. Only one on the way text recipient.

pure joy everything works as expected or better, and any time i have a question or need assistance with something, they have me taken care of and resolved within the day, usually within the hour, and that parts Gold

Pros

very user friendly , and easy to operate everything from weekly reports on pools serviced, through monthly reports of profits and parts installed to bill are right there at the touch of a button, and it glitches out a Fraction of the time that most other apps do , which is a Big plus

Cons

i dont really have an answer for this question, but if i had to pick something , id say when it force logs out my techs its very easy to log back in and i know its a process that keeps the software running smooth and up to date, but my less ...savy ... techs will call and need their password because they forgot.

### "The Best Pool Service App"

I’ve used other apps and none of them come close to the ease of use and built in features of Skimmer.

Pros

Ease of use for techs and office staff. The addition of automatic billing and a customer portal are also great.

Cons

It doesn’t come with the ability to send quotes on the cheapest plan. I’m a small company and I’m planning to stay relatively small with maybe a slightly higher price. It will take me a while to get these customers so the “0-50” option doesn’t quite fit for me.

Pros

Customer service is always there to help. When you call them. They answer right away or always call you back.

Cons

Setting some things up on the app. Not a big deal though compared to all the good things that skimmers comes with.

I thoroughly enjoy the app everyday. I always find myself going through my employees stops to check up on things. No need to drive to the stop.

Pros

Mostly I like how Skimmer allows myself, my employees and our clients to all stay on the same page when it come to their pool.

Cons

The only thing that I can think of is the inability to make unique checklist duties for certain pools. Not all pools are the same. Some do require unique tasks to keep the pool and its system up to par.

Have been working as administration for 365 Pool Service for about a year now. Skimmer is a huge part of my daily work life and it makes my job much easier by being streamlined to complete the daily tasks required of me.

Pros

Ease of usability. The fact that it is so well directed towards the pool service industry and as a result matches our needs so well.

Cons

The lack of a full calendar view, I would love to be able to see all jobs/work orders and even reschedule them just by moving them to another day/timeslot on the calendar.

Such a great app. I am really happy. I will probably never go to another app. If you’re considering using this app, I highly recommend watching all the videos and practicing before you use it for your business.

Pros

I like the fact that you can just click on a client’s profile and their address is right on there. You get directions straight from Google maps. It’s a great convenience for me and my company.

Cons

I would say the least or what they need to work on is maybe instead of email. They were a customers would get a text from their phone of the results of their pool.

My overall experience with SKIMMER has been great almost everything seems to work out perfectly.

Pros

I love how easy it is to make new route assignments and switch the assignments around from each technician as needed very easy to integrate photos and chemical readings.

Cons

I don’t like how you have to go onto SKIMMER on a desktop computer or an Internet browser to get the full use of the broadcast emails. You cannot access a lot of the stuff from the app. I would like to see that fixed.
