Metabase is an open-source business intelligence solution that helps businesses of all sizes allow employees to analyze data and ask questions on a unified interface. The white-label platform enables administrators to schedule reports and set up alerts for the target audience. it is amazing, the product is open source, so no body can compete with free and it is as good as any commercial product

Pros

Simple to use, if I want to build a product from scratch and want it to serve my analytics needs it will not be better than metabase

Cons

some filters need too many workarounds to have them supported, the lack of some ui charts is also something that I didn't like

Overall, it has been a great experience using Metabase. Even non-technical people can perform complex data analysis that would otherwise require experts.

Pros

Fantastic open-source tool for data analysis and visualization. Easy to use for non-technical folks and powerful SQL options for advanced tasks.

Cons

Has a slight learning curve, but once you get used to it, using it is a breeze. Lacks off-the-shelf dashboards, which need a few hours to create.

Pros

Metabase is an amazing BI tool which we will be using for a long time. The visualizations are good and supports a wide range of database systems. They promote use of service accounts for security and their internal permission management is flawless.

Cons

They can provide better widgets for applying filters especially their date range selectors. Another nice addition would be to improve dashboard customizability in terms of colors, text, etc.

overall it is a good experience, I like using metabase in general and believe that we will keep using it

Pros

It is really amazing in everything, I use it daily in my job and help me a lot in getting the reports and dashboards

Cons

Sometime it crashes, and saving data for long time as well, also the long loading time is not good at all

I honest had challenges with data triangulation as the platfrom did offer more functions.

Pros

The thing i liked about the platform is the ability to connect to postgreSQL.

Cons

I never like the IDE which made analysis harder for me.

Metabase is by far my source of truth when working on data. Allowing me to make data driven decision

Pros

Metabase allows us to visualize data coming from different sources, which is crucial when we use different tools producing data.

Cons

(1) Performance: sometimes it takes too long to load and we have to be patient (2) Visualization could be better: I'm nitpicking but I feel like customization isn't really a possibility here and it could definitely improved

Metabase is a great tool if you have analysts proficient in SQL and want a tool you can use to share out across internal and external sources while not requiring too much custom visualization

Pros

Ease of use - metabase is very straightforward to get set up initially and for new users to create basic items Flexibility with SQL - metabase's best power is still working with it in SQL but the noCode tools are still good as well

Cons

Visualization customizability - there is room to grow on allowing more customization and variety in the visualizations

I've been enjoying using Metabase ever since my company set it up for data analytics. I always choose it over tools like Amplitude (although Amplitude also has its advantages).

Pros

Metabase is highly intuitive and easy to use. You don't need to have an extensive knowledge of SQL; it's enough to know the structure of the data sources (an analytics database in our case). There are many ways to manipulate and organise data. Most graphs can be set up within a minute by using "questions". I find that the dashboards are very simple and intuitive as well, and it's easy to arrange data in the way you need.

Cons

Perhaps the only thing I'm missing in Metabase are sequences / funnels, but I don't use them for the majority of my work.

Absolutely terrible for everything else, ESPECIALLY dashboard creation.
