" July 3, 2019 4.0 The product has been very helpful with moving training forward for our organization. Customer Service has been excellent . Our rep, has been one of the main reasons we are very satisfied. Pros It's very fluid and evolving with the demand and need. It has evolved tremendously since we have been with them. That's exciting. Cons Sometimes uploading is very slow. This causes people to get frustrated with trying to get courses completed and for us to run reports. IT Systems & Compliance Coordinator Medical Practice Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "MedTrainer Review" November 27, 2019 4.0 My overall experience has been very good and I am happy to have a tracking software but also have the learning online videos for staff instead of sending them off campus to complete some of their required training. Orientation of new staff has been much easier as well because I am able to get their compliance training completed at on-boarding instead of waiting until the next group training is scheduled. Pros I really value the tracking portion of the training. We have always struggled with staying on top of when staff are due to renew their certifications and annual compliance training; so this software has really helped! Cons We signed up to utilize the equipment list and maintenance module. Instead of there being an upload of our current excel equipment list we will have to put each piece of equipment in one by one. I haven't had a chance to sit down and do this yet so I haven't been able to start using that module yet. :( I thought when I signed up for our package, it included some of the CME that clinical staff need and I found out it will cost extra. :( Reason for choosing MedTrainer Recommended by our supply vendor, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] Review Source WH Wendy H. Every time I need something created or added they're quick to help me. Pros MedTrainer helped me streamline our new employee onboarding. The success manager assigned to my account is amazing! Cons I wish the alpha sorter in the Employee Center was at the top of the page. The SDS function wasn't a great fit for us so we discontinued using it. Pros Training package covers almost all of the required training's we need and what is not there we can have loaded. Also the tracking of the training's assigned and the ability to see how many times the user had to take the training to pass the end of course quiz. Training reports are also great! Pros The price was better compared to other products. Cons Salesperson oversold the product, did not work as we expected. We provided a 30 day cancellation notice after a few months of using it and are still STUCK in the contract after a year because Medtrainer customer service also fell way below our expectations! Reason for choosing MedTrainer Salesperson oversold the product, made it sound as if the product could do more than what it actually can. Our account representative is the best and is always there when I need help. His response time is impeccable and he is a pleasure to deal with. Pros The software is pretty easy to navigate. I like all the different features that the software offers. Cons It's sometimes confusing trying to find what you need in regards to where the information is located. There are so many different features that are available I sometimes forget on where to look for what. It started off well with the demo & the sales pitch, but turned into a nightmare. This product was sold to us as a great working tool that our providers would love however, the functionalities did not ever meet our needs. They had to keep sending our issues for product planning, Which meant they kept having to create systems for us that never worked. We had many issues with reporting & trying to make this product work for our company. Just ended up causing us more work in the end. Would never recommend this product for use. Pros This product was sold as a functioning software that ended up not working for our company. Cons The software lacks adequate credentialing capabilities that we were promised. We were sold that this product would work great for our company however had many dissatisfying experiences. Their timeliness to complete tasks on our issues were often delayed with run arounds, many delays in responses from our contact. Reporting feature never met our needs. Tracking of Transcripts and Contracts. Cons The Document and Policy Binder is messy. Might be my fault though. Alternatives considered [Relias](https://www.capterra.com/p/179573/Relias/) Reason for choosing MedTrainer We also use Relias. They do not store Contract though so we don't want to get rid of MedTrainer. Relias has more trainings related to our line of work though. Review Source SL Susan L. Credentialing Services Mental Health Care Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Credentialing" July 22, 2022 1.0 We signed a contract for full service credentialing. We were assured that our specialty was understood by the credentialing staff. This was not the case and in the 14 months we have had this service, we have paid out thousands of dollars and they have only been able to do 1 recredentialing correctly and 1 new credentialing that I have yet to see has worked. They are unresponsive to timelines and have costs us in loss revenue in being late with sending in documents. Do not waste any money on this company. Pros The software seems to be good, easy to use. Upload works well, but reporting is insufficient. Cons Customer service and quality of staffing is extremely poor. Found it wasn’t needed for us or ANYONE LESS THAN 100 employees, so if you are a small business, find a better way to keep records of your staff by using a desktop. Unhappy costumer here, and they pretty much said “sorry you’re unhappy” and we will keep charging you. So, DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU KNOW IT WILL BENEFIT YOU. Truthfully, you do not need the services of this company. Pros Internet based… many courses available to train staff. Cons Staff, customer service. They love to take your money and don’t deliver on service. All they care about is sales, the constant calls and emails about referrals and upselling is crazy and then when you need help on customer service we had weeks go by before someone replied. My annual OSHA and HIPAA training will be given via Med Trainer in Jan. 2020. Being able to use the Compliance check off sheets are an added asset. The ease of assigning modules to one person or 30 and having access to see their progress is essential. My licensed and certified staff now have certificates to present for there continuing education. It is making my training life so much easier these days! Thank you Med Trainer for the ease and accessibility of your system!! Pros Just recently we have added the CPR portion to our Med Trainer. I have personally gone through the program and as a nurse I must say it is more informative than most hands on classes that I have attended for recertification. I agree with the trainer that we should have 6 month refreshers. The ease of using the system, the added benefit of questions after each segment and the way it is presented was most excellent and kept your attention. Pros It is very easy to streamline on-boarding new employees. I love the reminders; currency on required OSHA guidelines; automatic updates to SDS; being able to manage over 200 employees through reporting and metrics. Cons The courses sometimes get "stuck". Multiple employees report they get part-way through a course and it freezes OR, they finish a course and confirmed they passed the test, but the program reports they haven't completed the course and will not produce a certificate. Each time I reported this occurrence, Med-trainer was able to resolve the issue within 2-3 hours or less. On the downside not all staff could attend the mandatory training sessions during the week especially our weekend and casual staff members. With Medtrainer we can import our own custom training unique to our clinic, we can used the basic training's as offered, and in addition it tracks the users! I can easily run reports and update leadership teams about staff who still need to finish which is super. Love the time-saving capabilities. Pros Ease of use for administrator and end-user staff. I really like the functionality and the options it has to support HIPAA, SDA, Emergency Preparedness, etc. It really has expanded very nicely since we first purchased the product 3 years ago. Cons There really isn't much I don't like about the software. I would recommend that when new products are released that the administrator of the software is offered an opportunity to review the information within the module for 7 to 10 days prior to purchase. Often I am busy and the presentation isn't enough since I am very hands-on. Pros I really like that I can make sure my entire staff has THE most up to date training in regards to CMS, OSHA, and many more that are required in the Healthcare community to ensure the safest possible environment for my staff. Now, as the administrator to newly onboarded users, I can see why we have stuck with MedTrainer for so long to meet our HIPAA and Safety training needs. Pros MedTrainer allows us to assign a bundle of courses to our new users which makes sure that all users receive the same training. Courses are interactive and designed in a way that encourages the user to explore all information provided in the modules. I have recommended Medtrainer to other business and will continue to do so in the future. Cons I have not found anything that I would change in the software so far. They have continued to add new features since I have started using Medtrainer. Cons Lacks ability to be customized based on our needs. We were promised certain features that were either not available or did not work as promised. Continual problems with course freezing. They would tell us to input the info and then they would "make it work for us". We spent a great deal of time inputing all of the requested info, just to find out that they could not meet our expectations or needs, nor were they able to follow through with promised functionalities. We attempted to use this product for a couple of months then we decided to terminate our contract for cause and with a 30day notice. They have denied to amicably ressolve our request to terminate stating "not given the 30-day notice to cure properly" DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM...... Review Source PB Peggy B.
