April 9, 2026 5.0 We have had a great overall experience with MedTrainer and definitely feel audit ready with their compliance program. Pros MedTrainer is great for compliance checking for our healthcare practice. One feature they have is AI which does make working on their platform easier! We use MedTrainer for credentialing as well. Cons MedTrainer assigns you a specific representative to use- sometimes the customer service isn't as fast as I would like for credentialing. Pros Medtrainer is easy to use, both at the administrative level and the student level. The dashboards are easy to read/understand/navigate. Cons Inability to run reports easily. Our organization is large and split into multiple divisions. I used to be able to run (at any time) an easy report showing me who had open coursework to complete. Now I don't have that ability to do so easily. Program Director Mental Health Care Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "DO NOT RECOMMEND " November 20, 2025 1.0 Overall experience was not worth the cheaper price, it hindered the overall point of the need, low quality customer service, poor sales tactics. Would not use again and would not recommend to others. You get what you pay for. Just pay for Relias. Pros I liked what the sales guy sold me on, which I never got. Now that I am trying to leave he said he will get it for me. Such as the specific trainings I need for my patient population, state and federal requirements and accreditation requirements. Cons Pretty much everything. I was sold a lie. I did not find it to be user friendly. But that could have been because I was told I was getting something I was not. So when I looked for those functions to teach myself, they were not there. When I asked questions, I was met with responses like "did you watch that training video" and I sure did. Medtrainer was not helpful in any of the trainings I specifically needed for my business even though it was a cheaper option than most and sounded great during the sales pitch. When following the contract on how to cancel our services. We were locked in for one year, then after that it went month to month, we would need to provide a 30 day notice of termination of services, then Medtrainer would send you a termination of services survey. I did all of those steps, they sent me the survey, completed that, then after was met with "oh you did not read the fine print and we actually signed you into an other year actually automatically" Then was offered we can add those specific trainings you would like. I asked "The ones I was told were available to me to begin with and the templates for policies and procedures I was told that were available to me too that are not there". My business barely used Medtrainer and it did not fulfill the our need but we paid for it for one year. I think that MedTrainer (once you get used to using it) is very user friendly. Pros Very user friendly and staff are responsive to assist with troubleshooting IT issues that may arise. Cons Sometimes there are login issues with the SSO login. There are not enough learning modules available for specific learning for different departments like ER/Obstetrics. It definitely helps streamline the payer enrollment process. Pros I appreciate the ability to easily track payer enrollments and the customized reporting. I also use the Provider Enrollments dashboard frequently (although I wish it showed some different information). The Privileges and Appointments section is nice to have all approved packets in one place but also like that it connects to the providers profile. Cons I do not like the Credentialing features. They arent really functional. I also dont like how updates are released half done; they affect the way the platform operates and I have to either create workarounds until the full functionality is released or do the same action multiple times in different places. Poor customer service. Would not recommend to anyone in the future. Pros We were not a fan and found better solutions to our needs, however, we were stuck in a contract that was no longer meeting our needs. Cons Poor customer service. Difficult to navigate. Not enough trainings outside of the medical field. There are better companies out there that provide a better product at a more reasonable price. Having one area to track employee information, trainings, licenses as well as having the capability of assigning policies is a game changer. It is definetely an awesome system. Pros I love the course authoring tool. Haing the ability to create our own training modules is excellent. Cons Modules don't always work. The response time from our service rep should improve. And the response time for tickets should improve. More than that, the customer support and MedTrainer team are what make the software exceptional. They help to truly customize functions based on our needs. Among other things, we were able to transition to electronic incident reporting and ensure a speedy and simple way to deliver required annual compliance training. We are continuously evolving with MedTrainer. Our organization spans across multiple states and MedTrainer (and their team) make sure that we are well taken care of and help us to ensure uniformity within our Compliance Program. With any IT product there are bound to be issues - however, the MedTrainer team is always quick to help and ensure that it is resolved ASAP so we can return to normal operations. July 2, 2019 5.0 We once had to close our practice to two hours and bring in a consultant to lead a boring 2-hour class on OSHA and HIPAA regulations--this cost us revenue. Now we can assign courses in not only OSHA and HIPAA guidelines but can add custom courses and staff development training too --all at lightning speed and our staff can access the site 24/7 to make the training fit our schedule--and no lost time to do it. Pros Very easy to use and was very easy to set up initially--their support staff did most of the heavy-lifting! Our staff find the site easy to navigate and the flow is logical. Cons That we didn't find it before now! We did have some reporting features we desired but the support team helped us work with the design team and they made it happen. Pros I have been in the medical education system for along time and have had to use this throughout my training. It does allow for a wide range of options for teaching the student, but overall it is frustrating and annoying to use. There has been okay customer support, but it overall doesn’t match some of the other options out there! Cons It is hard to use and is very figity. It has several glitches and is not user friendly at all. It takes a big learning curve and overall is just not worth the time. It is affordable though, which is a positive. The Tech support is friendly and helps out quickly. Pros It gets my safety compliance done and I can get customer support quickly and easily. Cons There are a lot of "clicks" to perform tasks. The software is slow many times. I have difficulty with having classes on auto-repeat, the system seems to get mixed up once I un-assign courses that were not complete. They work to exceed expectations and improve where needed. Pros Integrity is a highly valued trait and something we view as incredibly important at our company. In speaking with the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] of MedTrainer, it is very clear that he views integrity the same as we do. I have worked in credentialing for 5 years and credential for multiple states - this software offers a variety of tools that aid in streamlining the credentialing process. This program is easy to navigate and the reporting tool allows you to create documents that give you an "at a glance" reference, which is very useful. I would recommend this product to both small and large companies, as it caters to both.  Cons Initially staff communication and product capabilities were an issue, however these were resolved. Pros The MedTrainer software was my answer to saving time. Before MedTrainer, I would do presentations about HIPPA, BBP, Safety, etc up to 5 times each to catch all of the employees. Now I assign the courses, set the end date, and monitor the progress of each employee. No longer does it take up my time to do presentations. I can customize the course assignments for the different departments and each employee can complete the modules on their own.
