I tried over 6 times to pre-register my father for an appointment, both on my newer model iPhone and on several different browsers on my desktop. The refresh rate on each step was ridiculously slow, considering I have a very fast computer and a 1GB internet connection. After finally getting somewhere and uploading photos of my father's insurance cards, it finally responded and said it couldn't check him in online. Wasted 30 minutes of my valuable time.

Pros

I'm a consumer, not a provider. I liked nothing about my Luma Health check-in experience. It was slow and buggy and never worked for me.

Cons

Look, I'm a tech person and website designer with over 40 years of experience, so I know what I'm doing online. Maybe providers like this platform, but for consumers, they've got some serious problems with ease of use. See my recent experience below.

Overall the experience is excellent. The appointment management function is well above competitors, the booking and rebooking experience is seamless and simple, and the team is a pleasure to work with.

Pros

Easy of integration with our EHR, excellent customer service. The product team are experts when it comes to integration, and are willing and eager to solution when questions arise.

Cons

The list is short, but the hardest part of dealing with Luma is trying to fit some of our highly customized workflows in to patient messaging processes. Luma will always work with us to solution for a given issue, but there are some custom workflows that we have that do not easily fit in to their product.

Overall, my experience with Luma Health has been very positive. It made patient communication much easier and helped us stay organized. Once we got the hang of it, it really improved our workflow and patient satisfaction.

Pros

What I liked most about Luma Health is how easy it is to use and how much time it saves. The appointment reminders and smart waitlists really helped reduce no-shows, and the integration with our system was smooth. The support team is also super helpful!

Cons

Sometimes the system can be a bit slow during peak hours, and it took some time for our team to get used to all the features. But overall, it's a great tool once you're familiar with it.

Overall, Luma Health helped streamline our patient engagement process. Appointment confirmations and rescheduling became more efficient, and patient satisfaction improved. While there were a few bumps during setup, the customer support team was responsive, and the product continues to add value to our operations.

Pros

Luma Health’s automated appointment reminders and real-time scheduling features significantly reduced no-shows and saved our front-desk staff a lot of manual effort. The platform is user-friendly, integrates well with EHR systems, and provides clear, actionable communication with patients.

Cons

Some of the customization options felt limited, especially when trying to tailor messaging for different patient groups. Also, initial onboarding took a bit longer than expected, and some training materials could be improved.

Patients were able to see their medical records, medical details, and results easily and quickly. Based on this information, I was able to immediately take care of my health on my own.

Pros

You can include details without having to call patients, and you can communicate with them if you need them for your next treatment.

Cons

It was a pity that patients could not change their appointments. There were times when I couldn't get the alarm right away.

My overall experience with Luma Health is pretty good, I can't complain it does its job but there is definitely better application out there, in my opinion.

Pros

My favorite thing about Luma Health is the AI generated usage, and this helps with patient notes/charting.

Cons

My least favorite thing about Luma Health is the inconvenience with rescheduling patients. Or how some patient's don't get reminders.
