### "Campspot customer service sadly no longer exists"

Our campground has used Campsot for 5.5 years. Support was great for the first few years, and we were really happy with the software and customer service, but over the last 2 years especially it has declined completely, to almost zero support. It has been a shock for us and our staff, and quite nerve wracking not having assistance when needed. On average when we email the support line it is a 5-7 day response time and then if we get a response it is barely helpful, and the thread is dropped by the support team, with no proper answers or follow up. As a small business when we need support it is critical to our business as all our bookings flow through Campspot. We are beyond disappointed and shocked with the lack of customer service. The price of Campspot keeps going up but the value keeps going down. We don't need that much customer service as we are quite familiar with the software, so feel we don't ask for much so it is disappointing and unsettling.

Pros

Easy to use software for our campground (85 sites), online bookings relatively simple for guest use. Staff find it easy, simple learning curve.

Cons

Customer service is terrible, 5-7 day response time, if we do get a response, it is not complete/helpful, and we have to draft same question/emails again. We have lost trust in Campspot that if we need help or assistance with any kind of set up, issues, it won't be there for us. The price goes up every year and the customer service (which we really need only a few times/year) has declined completely. We pay thousands/year for this software and the value is no longer there for us with this lack of support. We don't need support often, just with our seasonal set up, and this year especially we have been ghosted when we have reached out with some basic set up questions.

### "Doesn't live up to the hype, too many glitches."

Not good. I don't recommend them at all. Far too many glitches, pass the buck onto you customer service.

Pros

When it works, it's fine. Not outstanding, but fine. It'll get the job done for now but don't expect anything outstanding.

Cons

It has too many glitches that pop up every couple of months. If you contact support, they'll give you answers that you've already provided, stating that you've already done what they suggested in emails before their lame solution, answering emails, plus sending them four videos. They do not understand English very well. I've become increasingly frustrated with their low reading comprehension. I wouldn't recommend them. I'm switching to a more reliable software that has been around for far longer and has a better rating. The rating here is not trustworthy, given my experience dealing with them over the past two years. Their idea is "It's cool!", not what will work best for those who use it daily for their work.

I appreciate the great people that are always there willing to help! It makes it all worth while! Customer is top notch in my opinion.

Pros

I like the way the system is easy to learn and operate. It’s also easy for people booking online. They do seem to be working on new features all the time. The customer service has been amazing! They have been so helpful every time I can’t figure something out in my own!

Cons

I do wish they would add a feature list where you see all the options to enter number of adults, children and pets, all visible in a row. It would save a lot of asking later and people then being upset because there is a fee for pets. Also a drag and drop feature on the grid would be super helpful.

### "We Love Campspot"

It has been great; highly recommend to any campground/park, big or small

Pros

Very user friendly, developed just for campgrounds unlike a lot of other systems, super support staff; it has been a lifesaver for us and my only regret is not joining sooner than we did!

Cons

Would like to be able to alter some features to support our cancellation policies with regard to weekly and monthly rentals; would like to be able to create our own reports.

### "Unfortunately would not recommend."

Campspot started out fine with needed improvements etc. Then the improvements became more important than the actual maintenance on the program. The system slowed to the point we replaced all of our computers to no avail after support blamed our internet provider and history. We even had the internet provider come out and check our system which was fine. After we gave notice we were moving to another company they decided we really were having issues they needed to address. But it was too little to late (about a year).

Pros

The zip code finder and I honestly can’t think of anything else.

Cons

The speed and the way it recalculated the rates unasked. The inability to check out guests when they left was very inconvenient as you couldn’t re-rent the site. Every problem was blamed on internet history. Also lost the ability to even search for prior guest by the time we left.

Poor. The above description pretty much sums up my dealing/non-dealing with Campspot. That was after calling the Wautauga Dam campground directly. Of course, no one answered there and their voicemail was full.

Pros

Pretty pictures with views of the water, pavement, trees, picnic tables, water faucet, campers, and motorhomes.

Cons

2 different Campspot maps showing different availability. When I called I was transferred to a live person, only to get another recording.

Complete monitoring of every aspect of our RV park's interaction with guests.

Cons

I did not find the ability to Access payment information, including guest name, amount, unit #, dates and status of completion of payment, for each payment made, in csv format, for import into QuickBooks, within Campspot's program.

I enjoy using CampSpot and it has made management of my Camp more seamless. I can easily view and adjust bookings or add new options/pricing

Pros

Easy to manage bookings and has great integrations and other features. Glad they have a training database and certification program

Cons

It takes a bit of learning and can be difficult to set up on your own without doing quite a bit of digging/learning. Customer service/support can also be lacking at times. Customers sometimes have difficulty understanding how to book by site instead of entering in their whole group at once when searching for dates

### "No Plan to Switch"

Great! There are so many reservation software options out there and you can't make everyone happy but I have no plan to switch!

Pros

I have been very pleased with the communication from Campspot. There are emails letting us know what is coming, industry highlights, etc. Everyone was helpful when onboarding. All of the features are easy to use and support is always either already provided for a phone call away.

Cons

I do not like the monthly fee. When I onboarded there was no monthly fee and that was what was attractive. Now, however, there is a fee. Don't like!!

The Sales process seemed expedited and we were warned many times that "if we didn't sign soon, we might not be able to get implemented for awhile". Now I think that's because some of the items we found during (and after) implementation would have perhaps caused us to make a different decision.

Pros

I like the online booking guest user experience and being able to add photos and descriptions to our various site types. I also like the ability for guests to book add ons to their reservation, and I like the Site Optimization and Dynamic Pricing on the Administrative/back end.

Cons

We cannot add more than one guest to a reservation without using user-defined fields within the Reservation. This doesn't create a Customer Profile for them which causes us several problems. We can't add a membership to their account because they don't have one. They can't charge to a site because they weren't the primary person who made the reservation, don't have a Customer Profile, and don't have a Credit Card on file. We aren't a family campground and many of our reservations are friends who need their own accounts. We can't add a Customer Profile manually. Because we cannot enter additional guest information into the Reservation, it was suggested that we use one of the user-defined fields to capture this. For online bookings, this is done during the check-in process, which only goes out 24 hours before arrival. We have over 100 sites.. Which means we have to review ALL of them 24 hours before they arrive. Holiday weekends we're sold out, and it's a lot of work to do to prepare. Although still a pain, if we could capture this at the time of booking instead of at the time of check it, at least we would have it a little earlier. So, my ask here is that user-defined questions be allowed to be asked at the time of booking and not just check-in.

Pros

Campspot provides a platform to effectively and efficiently manage our campground. It has truly been a 1-stop-shop for us. We can now provide customers with an easy, online booking experience, complete with pictures and descriptions of each site, pavilion, and amenity we have to offer. Administration is a breeze whether it's editing reservations or customer profiles, adding additional amenities or sites, uploading new site rates, or changing rules.

Cons

As with all software programs, updates are a must. However, I have had a bit of trouble with certain updates changing the program to the point that I needed to call support for assistance.

### "Maximize Revenue!"

Pros

\- Less staff training time because the software is intuitive to use - Ability to have a lot of business rules set up - Lock in fees are boosting our revenue! - The ability to have all our marketing photos shown with their unit. - Golf carts and other ancillary accounts shown in the flow through has brought up revenue substantially since we started using Campspot. - Automated grid moving which allows staff to focus on other things - I really like the heat maps and the advanced reservation reprots that they have which show real time per unit site night information and site night revenue. From an operations stand point this is really helpful in making decisions!

Cons

Campspot is a relatively new software company, so there have been a couple small bumps along the way. But their responsiveness and willingness to make the software better for the user/staff as well as the consumer far outweigh any cons.

I use campspot on a daily basis at our campground. I use it to make and edit reservations, process transcractions in POS and reservation billing, and deal with add-ons.

Pros

Campspot has many great features that help our campground out. From ease of online booking, to reservation management, add-ons (golf carts, packages, etc) campspot is overall a great system to use.

Cons

The software can sometimes be buggy when it comes to billing and invoicing but rarley does it require customer support from Campspot. Most of the times, we are able to quickly correct the issue.

### "User Friendly and More Revenue!"

Pros

We are currently finishing up our 4th season with Campspot. We've used at least 3 other systems at my park since I started working here, but we have never loved a system more than this one. The ability to optimize sites to fit as many people into the park as possible has allowed us to provide even more families a memorable vacation that we would not have been able to provide with any other system. The site lock-in option allows guests to pick their favorite site in the park and not have to worry about being moved. So far in 2019, we have made $88,705 in locked site fees alone. The online booking option is as easy as purchasing clothing online as it is the most user-friendly software we've ever used. More people booking online has allowed our reservations staff to spend less time on the phone and more time helping and interacting with guests here at the park. I highly suggest at least letting Campspot give you a demo!

Cons

As with any company, we always have little tweaks and extra things we would like to do here at the park. Campspot has worked with us to develop new reporting, customize our park, and get us any information that we could possibly need. Their responsiveness and turnaround time for questions or issues is unparalleled.

Pros

I'm completely impressed with this software. I believe it is one of the main reasons for my significant increase in business this year. My campground is small, only 35 sites. Since I implemented Campspot, it went from approximately 60% full through the summer months to 96%. I couldn't be happier!!! Also, there isn't a better staff of software consultants/agents. Having been a traveling software consultant and trainer for 22 years (for a specialized ERP system), I can easily recognize a stellar support staff. The Campspot team is simply unbeatable.

Cons

Initially, training materials/documents were few, but now I can find nearly everything I need in their Knowledge Center.

Campspot helped us bring new revenue streams we couldnt before. We have sold more add ons than ever before. 86% increase in golf cart sales the first year. 24% increase in sites the first year. 34% increase in Cabin rentals the first year. Campspot took us from a maximum of 21% of our sites being online booked, to almost 50% in one season. Unbelievable. One other very critical point is the constant improvements and the networking. Campspot constantly asks what its customers would like to see in the software. Then they do it. Very refreshing.

Pros

This software is very intuitive. It is easy to set up, its fast, its very easy to adapt it to all the variables out there in our industry. It has an ability to increase revenue that others cant. It looks great to our customers, and it significantly helps us up charges. The tech support is the best in the industry.

Cons

The only Con with this software is its ability to plug directly into many financial platforms for reporting. I have not experienced a barrier, but I have networked with others that have an issue with Quickbooks online.

Reason for choosing Campspot

Simplicity, and the customer interface is powerful. Very clean to our customer.

Overall we're happy! Once we were trained fully we were happy with the overall functionality of the program. It is easy for us to use and easy for our customers to use.

Pros

We love being able to see all reservations at once in the grid. We use the housekeeping feature and it has been great for availability for guests.

Cons

Refunding continues to be somewhat of an issue. We would like to have the choice to not have a refund go directly to house credit.

### "Management made easier"

I chose and assisted in the backend build of our park. I've been involved from day 1 and made training our crew seamless with the additional support and webinars from Campspot. I wasn't ever on my own to figure it out - there is ample assistance along the way.

Pros

The most helpful feature in campspot is the algorithm for the booking chart. Having a blend of staff that are new to reservations and seasoned pros this makes the on boarding process that much easier while optimizing the grid.

Cons

It is missing the booking directly from the grid for the seasoned staff and you can not modify single admin hold if you booked multiple on hold sites. Minor in the grand scheme of things with all of the other features.
