We recently just did a kaizen project using redzone and it's very easy to use and able to help us to identify where the problems are and we can easily allocate task the the right people so the matters can be deal with easily.

Pros

From an area management point of view. it provides very detailed and accurate data and this helps massively when we are tring to resolve daily issues. The systems helps us to interact with others in real time, a simple high 5 can mean a lot to the team.

Cons

i honest can not think of any areas where i dont like the system. i feel with any new system, it just takes time and practice to master the skill and using it daily. so far it's been a very pleasant journey and the system helps us to react to problems very quickly

### "Redzone improves our communication"

before using redzone, we were counting packs per minutes, we were reviewing only at the end of the job, it was hard to tell if that production run was good or bad and it was never accurate numbers. now everyone is using OEE, i can now see how well my team is performing and if performance is down i can have my counter measure, if the availability is down, i can call engineers to come help fix the problem. Redzone is guiding me the direction on how to solve my daily problems.

Pros

the system allow me to use my phone to see how well we are doing, the data we see is live and we can reacts quickly when we see the line isn't performing as it should be. we can also escalate the issues into different department in our daily meetings using Redzone.

Cons

there are limited function on the mobile phone app. for example i can not start a huddle using the mobile app and some people take more time to learn the system than the others. (non english speakers and limited language available)

Excellent customer service and support . Very important with this type of software

Pros

The ease of operator use. Steve Jobs made it possible to have even the most technologically disadvantaged operators successfully interact with the ipad and RZ.

Cons

Sometimes the RZ updates come out with bugs and make it difficult until they roll out the fixes. Possibly too many updates and new features. They should focus on what they have and make it solid .

### "Running meetings more effectively with Redzone!"

We have always been doing daily production meetings, however with the intgration with redzone. We can run out meetings more effectively. we can use the app to track downtimes instantly and we can create actions to resolve our problems. Before Redzone, these tasks were not tracked and with Redzone we can see the status of each actions,these actions are managed and we can escalte to next level if needed.

Pros

The app truly gives our front line operators a voice, they can comment, take photos and videos on any downtime issues. we are also creating actions based on downtime. The information is view by everyone, as a supervisor i can oversee all my lines and i can manage them easily. the coaching provided was great and the practice week sessions helped us to understand the systems a lot more so we can prepared for the actual coaching.

Cons

we are currently in the GMT + 8 and if we have any support related questions, we would need to wait until afternoon for the feedbacks. i hope they can have support office in the far east.

before Redzone, we always have problem with people not doing the right standard work, starting shift on time, coming back from break on time. now with Redzone, because everything is fully visible, people are back to their station on time and the line runs faster as live performance it's shown on screen.

Pros

Redzone gives me full view of how my section is doing. i dont need to run around all the lines everyday to speak to my line leaders and i can manage my lines with the help of redzone. we are also doing huddles, every huddle, we can make minor adjustments to our lines so we all can reach our goal.

Cons

it took some time to understand the huddle and start to see the benefits of huddles, At the start, people do not like doing huddles, they think it's extra work, as time goes on and their lines start to run better they understand why they need to huddle.

The amount of paperwork has gone down and it has not affected the ability to produce information when it is required. The customer support was fantastic. Between having calls, emails, and onsite in-person help, the implementation and all of the pending questions about the software were answered and the problems resolved.

Pros

\-The ability to painlessly transition to being paperless and the help on being audit ready is great. -The software's ability to be custom tailored to fit an existing procedure is great and very simple to do. -The app is very user friendly and easy to teach.

Cons

\-Although the app is very easy to customize, it does have its limitations.

My only gripe is that Redzone is only available on iOS, but this is subjective as I've always been a Microsoft user.

Pros

The entire Redzone approach is fantastic, a well structured plan with solid results. From set up, implementation, coaching and kaizens events, everything flows smoothly when your company truly buys into the principles and put them in practice daily. Increasing your OEE week after week is a great feeling for everybody, top to bottom.

Cons

The inability to integrate with ERP systems. This feature would make this solution the absolute best on all ends.

a quicker way to retrive documents. all the files and checks can be easily accessed from the ipads. the filters can help directly locate the checks and different user profiles can be saved.

Pros

helped to streamline communication between different department. The tablets made production/health & saftey checker easier. Can still use the system to perform quality check even when offline.

Cons

It takes a lot of time upfront to prepare for the compliance templates and also reqires addictional training for Power BI/ cloud reports. there are also some limitations on the software.

The attendence has drastically improved as the information for the production line is now totally transparent. We can run the lines with the right standards (right people, material, settings etc) we are also using Redzone dashboard to run our daily production meeting and it's helping us to keep track of our standards.

Pros

Redzone is very easy to use, it gave us visualisation of our factory, we can now see live data and this allows us to react quickly to improve productivity. our labour force comes from different background and speaks different language and they are still able to use Redzone for their daily tasks.

Cons

The contractor we were using are very disapointing, there were dates promised to come in and finish off snag list and they never turned up. we have been working with bad quality data.

Productivity issues and capacity bottlenecks. Also capturing our quality compliance data.

Pros

Real time data, communication aspects, and compliance all provide timely information on how our locations are performing .

Cons

Cycle locations are not user friendly and have many inherent issues related to them. We had to use them in quite a few of our locations. It appears not many Redzone customers have to use cycle locations so there is very little cycle location development and improvements by the Redzone team. This has been frustrating.

since using redzone, we reduced a lot of manual downtime recording, the total number of paper on the shopfloor has been reduced and overall the time it takes to do admin task has beed reduced.

Pros

the system gives us live data and it's very easy to understand and all departments are now in sync and everyone is talking the same language which is OEE! everyone is happy to see their live performance and we even have a little internal competition

Cons

i wish the system can refresh a little faster, at the moment there is about 30 seconds time delay between product going pass sensors and what we see on the tv displays, i wish we had this system sooner.

we can now see downtime reports easily and we are running daily production meetings in the Redzone Forums. we can sent out actions and manage actions easily. We can also retrive data from Bi sources for deep dive to understand the loss.

Pros

i find Redzone very user friendly, it's easy to use, it also provides multiple language support. i lkee the real time data and we can make decisions much quicker than before and we are able to react to the data and reduce downtime loss.

Cons

In the beginning, we didn't have much knowledge of how the downtime codes, product groups, manufacturing types will look like in redzone and we just submitted the master data. It took some days to get used to it and understand how it relates. The supoort team was very good to help us re-upload everything again.

we working on manual locations. often time people forget to write down the number of cases completed and we would need to manually work the the shift performance. with Redzone. although it's still a manual process, but each product we can now see the shift OEE, product run OEE instantly when we enter the quantity we have produced. the data we see now is more accurate and it's less work for me.

Pros

it's a new system, new TVs new ipads, it makes our daily job more interesting. we can now see live information and how well we are doing and we can understand where is our loss and helps us to find a way to improve performance

Cons

i work mostly on the manual locations, unlike sensor locations everything rely on manual input and we need to make sure we are entering the correct information into the system and there is no way to stop people cheating.

it makes our life so much easier, no more paperwork and everything is instanly accessible. i feel good that we are saving so many paper and help saving the earth!

Pros

Redzone is easy to use and when i am not on the shopfloor i can still monitor the performance of my line via the apple TV in the office. i am happy to see my performance everyday and i am happy to stay in Green! i find it very easy to enter downtime reasons and its easy to make changes if i made a mistake.

Cons

The only thing i dont like is that it's limited to apple device and i only have an android phone so i can't access to Redzone on my phone. the sensor can sometimes give bad readings and we need to ask an engineer to resolve this issue.

Redzone has been very pleasant. The only challenges occur with either functionality or Management engagement. An example of the Functionality would be if Redzone could auto populate specific data within a data sheets.

Pros

Makes the tracking and data retrieval of products run very simple.

Cons

It would be nice if Redzone coding wishlist. We’ve noticed while building new triggers, you cannot copy existing triggers. It would also be nice to have a multi window mode, to edit multiple data sheets at the same time.

We have had nothing but great support from the sales, implementation, and coaching teams. Line improvements excited our coach as much as it did our team. You can tell they really believe in their product, and have made a believer out of me.

Pros

Readzone has given us the ability to analyze data in real time, and make real time decisions. It is easy to use and easy to read. We have seen our employees take more ownership over their lines, and employee process improvement ideas have greatly increased. It has improved the communication between the departments that keep our lines running.

Cons

My excel knowledge is going to decrease by not having to create reports that I can now generate from Redzone.

Redzone helps connect manufacturing floor team to enagage them more. The coaching uses a servant leadership model to reinforce how leadership supports and build the floor team. The communication tools are key (chats, forums). I have recommended Redzone for multiple clients with successful results.

Pros

Forums, Chats, Photo capability, OEE data, downtime tracking. Very strong coaching support.

Cons

Many organizations will need help with the installation. Sensors, PLC's, and wiring must work quickly to keep the confidence in the data.

I like the system and it’s ease of use, it has been fluid and very easily integrated in the day to day running of the machinery and the manufacturing process.

Pros

I personally like how it brings out my competitive side to keep hitting green. It also creates a bit of a competition with the other machine operators to see who can get the highest percentage at the end of the day. It has also highlighted what I have been saying is wrong with the machine and what needs attention to be able to achieve a better run rate.

Cons

No cons with system only grip with me is that my breaks are set to the system which is a company issue

Overall Redzone is a great company to work with and really enjoyed implementing this new software. their customer service is really great and our on-site trainer was very knowledgeable and a lot of fo fun to work with. I highly recommend Redzone.

Pros

It's very comprehensive and offers a lot of options. I love how easy reports are to generate and how much data there is to pull from. I also love that we had a hands-on technician here to help us implement the software, that really was s big help and make things very easy to transition to the new software.

Cons

I don't really have anything to say here, some of the issues we had initially were fixed qucikly because Redzone is customizable to each type of business.

Redzone gave us easy review of the factory, we can see the dontime of each lines easily and it also provides summed up reports. so i can see the total downtimne of my lines. it helped with my shift report, daily reports and weekly reports.

Pros

i like we can see huddle line performance, we can speak to each line leader during huddle, they can tell me the problems of the lines and i can give support the the right person. by doing these minor changes at each review, we are moving to the right direction.

Cons

the huddle is very good, however when the line is very busy it creates extra pressure for everyone. Our number one priority is to get the order complete first. i would like to see it on my phone but it's not available for Android.
