Employees are driven everyday to win by the instant feedback this software gives them and it gives them a voice by offering them an opportunity to input comments and suggestions. Our production floor employees are truly driving the direction of management when it comes to the day-to-day operations. If you like the process of taking old data then going back to the floor and asking employees to remember what happened on a specific day/incident so you can manage the improvements, you will not like this software.

Pros

It allows our production floor employees to see how they are performing in real time so they can fix what they know how to fix and communicate to management when they don't. This software will replace and enhance many of the Lean tools you are using in your facility.

Cons

There is really nothing not to like about it.

Reason for choosing QAD Redzone

We were very concerned about the support from Aptean given we were already using them for other products/services. We are glad we made the choice to go with RedZone - the support has been top notch.

### "PCB implemetation"

The RedZone implementation team was qualified and very supportive. The system provides all the tools to facilitate and drive improvement. driving and sustaining behavior changes has been and will continue to be our focus across the enterprise.

Pros

The software is much more the performance measurement and tracking system. I also provided transparency and accessibility to our Management Operating System (MOS), action to address performance, and bottom to top communication. It was very easy to install and require significantly less investment than other systems we considered.

Cons

For large enterprises with multiple plant, the ability to provide reporting at an enterprise roll-up level falls short of requirements.

it provided a platform to drove standardization to measurement methodology and enhanced our broader management processes.

### "Redzone for the WIN!"

We have moved all of our Quality and Food Safety checks by operators, supervisors, and QA to Redzone. We've eliminated paper, but more importantly we've gained immediate visibility of all of the production lines. We are able to react to problems when they occur and also see trends to prevent problems before they occur. The level of engagement across all departments has improved productivity, quality, and moral in ways we didn't expect.

Pros

Redzone was able to pull off what no other software has been able to for us; it is flexible but very logical in its setup. The ability to pivot between products and lines on an iPad made it possible for us to go fully paperless in Quality. We were able to create smart checks that can't be pencil whipped and are easy to complete by any level operator. The biggest difference maker was our Coach. His understanding of the big picture as well as creative ways to solve for our unique needs is what made us so successful. The level of support provided by Redzone through implementation is well beyond what I've experienced with any other software implementation.

Cons

It's not necessarily bad, but it requires a full commitment to make it work. You can't dabble, you need to be all-in.

We realized 4.6% uplift in OEE. Our employee morale has been really boosted with Redzone. Downtime accuracy is now in the high 90%. Overall, daily data capture and going paperless with the Compliance module has been outstanding! Several success stories have taken place throughout the implementation.

Pros

Visual and intuitive layout promotes instant understanding of the Performance metrics and ability to quickly analyze and solve issues. Excellent communication platform empowers employees to break down departmental silos and collaborate on daily problem-solving.

Cons

Since it purposefully replaces the paper logs, it needs to be more accessible with a search function. Action filters can be rather clunky

The coaches and the team really care about changing behaviors and culture (particular callouts to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]) and that is commendable. They are always willing to listen on how they can improve the product. We're generally happy with the product, but would prefer it if the system forced employees to perform the correct function. Our employees will miss CCP checks and the system allows for this. We're working through it, but would like more functionality from the system on this.

Pros

I like the productivity module's focus on visual real-time feedback

Cons

The SPC module is difficult to use effectively and the Compliance module's inability to enforce checks to be completed has been a concern. Also, the Redzone TV's are constantly updating and not working properly. Not sure if this is a Redzone issue, but it's caused us to minimize the use of the TV's.

Great. The service provided by the reps has been great with moves to satisfy our production schedule along with our desires to train and build the correct cadence in the software. The platform has no large problems and is managing to return everything desired for the most part. The biggest gripe is not having a great solution to the issue of changeovers that will involve starting and stopping of flow.

Pros

The software gives a great ability to monitor and see where downtime occurs during production but it is limited in usage to how well operators connect to the platform. It is user friendly but does have a system to proper usage along with some limitations of features but overall a great product to capture downtime and as a tool for communication.

Cons

Like anything that is software the big problems are the points where individual usages wants for particular features or ways to set up parts of how the software works but it is highly restricted in making changes but it does usually have a vision towards making changes to accommodate desired changes.

Overall we have been satisfied with Redzone Production Systems. We have been pleased with our return in investment, and increased teamwork & communication within our organization to drive for common goal.

Pros

Improve in Productivity, ease of implementation, use & reporting, with the ability to foster communication among production employees, and with the management team.

Cons

Overall I do not have anything we did not like about the software. One thing that can be improved is the implementation of software upgrades. It can be done more seamlessly with close coordination between the Redzone team and our internal team.

Reason for choosing QAD Redzone

Redzone provided a clear path for improved productivity gains, was simple to use where iPad tablet platform provided targeted training and improved user acceptance.

Very positive. Better than previous experience with RZ in 2019.

Pros

I really appreciated the support from the Redzone Coach to help build the critical mass necessary for full adoption by the site team. It is often hard to get the momentum behind these deployment, and our coach was an expert in encouraging participation from resistant employees.

Cons

Only available on IOS. Lack of desktop interface.

My experience with Redzone has been based off of individual and company growth. The access to multiple coaches of different backgrounds, who all have different perspectives, has helped me become a better leader.

Pros

I like that the product is easy to use, and the psychology that is behind the implementation of certain metrics. For example, the maintenance portion of the software teaches all emoyees subconsciously to look out for issues before they occur by having employees use their senses to check machinery.

Cons

I would have liked the software to be just as easily used on Windows as it is on IOS.

before redzone, i used to run around the factory and ask each team leaders on their performance and whats the top downtime at the time. now with Redzone, i can have an overview of all my lines and it provides instant feedback from the production lines. i can easily go the worse performing line and give support to the line leaders, and line leaders find it much easier to report the line managers as all the data are available on the ipad.

Pros

i like redzone becuase you can have an overview of whats happening to my production lines, on the condition that people are trained properly and what they are entering is correct information. if they enter bad quality data then we will be seeing bad quality data and therefore make we can loose track easily.however the system is easy enough to use and we can easily identify where the bad data is and give the right training to the right person.

Cons

we still need to make sure the line leaders are trained properly on the system and some of our new starter will take extra time to learn the system. The system only support a few language and not all of the languages are supported.

We are no longer needed to use paper to record downtime, we are saving a lot of paper. we are also no longer required to have face to face meetings with leaders to discuss the root cause of the downtime, i have all the information in front of me and the ipads can take photos and videos which helps a lot when we try to understand the root cause of the problems and past shift issues.

Pros

All information is available on the ipads and TV displays on the shop floor, it gets updated instantly and everyone can control what they are doing. the app is very good at connecting between departments and from the ground and up. we can sent messages to anyone within the app and issues gets raised easily.

Cons

the sensors can be very frustrating, when it's showing the wrong information and there is nothing we can do from the production side, we just need to wait for engineer to come on site and in the meanwhile we are stuck with a great system that's no use for us. it's a very big tease.

with tradtional paper checks, we are unable to keep track if the paper checks, the operators usually fill in the forms late and we do not have full visibility. the digital checks in redzone allows us to set up sechdules and we can make sure all operators are doing the correct checks at the correct time. even if the checks are missed or cancelled, the app still keeps record so we can monitor and improve.

Pros

Redzone helped us becoming paperless, saving cost on paper as well as more accurate and reliable data. we can program the check on our own preference and monitor to ensure checks are being done at the right time by the right person. The app also make it very easy to filter and search histroical data, we no longer required much admin work to fill paper data into digital forms.

Cons

we were not able to copy certain sections of the data sheets. such as triggers and the ability to mass upload option list. we are unable to set up triggers if one location has multiple SKUs running at the same time.

RedZone brings us closer to reality of having one integrated operating system to deliver manufacturing excellence. The ability to communicate instantaneously at all levels of the organization, manage through priority and recognize our people for the great work that happens every day has lifted the culture of the organization to new heights. RedZone has also allowed us to raise the bar in execution for all of us. Democratization of data means everyone is enabled to make the best and most informed decision at all times.

Pros

Redzone has helped us transform our GMP practice and digitalise the whole process. We love how we can use Redzone to track any actions we find during the audit process and assign them to the correct users. We can easily find and filter by dates, problems and solution within the app as well as Power BI

Cons

The compliance module takes some time to get used to, and setting up data sheets for the first time can be lengthy. Thanks to the Redzone coach, we can automate some of the processes.

we saved a lot of manhours from doing administratiive task. such as collecting data and analysing data. Redzone is able to provide quick reviews within the app as well as using the power of cloud data analysis tools such as power BI.

Pros

before using redzone, we were doing everything manually, used up many hours of admin work and now redzone is able to provide production data instantly. We have better uses of our time. the system is very easy to use and coaching is great!

Cons

It takes some time to used to and learn about the admin app. the initial set up required precise data to be uploaded into the system, during the huddles, it can be pressuring when needed to type a lot of writting in short amount of time. during the huddles/meeting.

making sure each checks are being perform on the right time, right place and right checks, no longer we had to guess peoples hand writing and the data can be easily accessable.

Pros

no more paperwork and saved hours of manual work. the data is easily retrived. each failed checks we can design triggers to sent to the correct users so right action can be taken to rectify the issue.

Cons

it takes a lot of time to set up the paperless checks. we had to prepare for different option list, product specs, data items etc etc. this is a one off process, we can make changes easily at a later stage.

we are now running daily production more effectively and we no longer just talking about past data, we are reacting to the data and forward thinking in how to reduce/prevent downtime in the upcoming production. The action management tool is great for action tracking and the whole engagement level of the production team is improved greatly.

Pros

Redzone is helping us to become paperless. The operators find it very easy to key in data, such as machine downtime and sechdule checks for the production line. we as supervisors, we have full visibility of all the lines and we the quality dashboard helps us to manage by exception. i can easily identify any failed or warning checks and speak understand why it failed and what was actioned. Before using redzone, these practice were very time consuming, in term entering the data and reviewing the data.

Cons

we need to buy more ipads. We would save lot money if the system can be used via windows or android devices.

the current paper work, takes extra man hours to process the data in order to analyse. with Redzone checks, they all become digital and they can be easily retrieved during an audit. the data can also be easily access and use data analysis tool like Power BI to generate trends and charts.

Pros

the productivity of the workers will improve as the quality checks are being monitored, if is a paper check, they can become lazy and only fill in the checks when they like. Redzone make this impossible as checks can be programmed so it doesn't get missed and every missed checks are recorded. the dashboard also very easy to manage, we can see checks from one page and we can easily manage by exception.

Cons

Some situations are not very practical and we have to change our working habbit to accomdate the system. For example when we count units and enter in paper, we can mark in strokes and give the final value at the end. with Redzone, we can only enter final value, this could lead to potential mistakes.

the level of communication has greatly improved and departments are no longer working in silos and we are all having the same goal, which is to improve OEE and Redzone is giving us that visual. The chats function is really good and being able to take photos and videos is helping us to pass the information to the right person and issues are being resolved much quicker with Redzone!

Pros

We working in the despatch area where we are separated from the high risk area. having redzone helped us communicate much more effectively. we can immediately see when high risk have a downtime and the reasons and likewise if we have a stoppage, high risk area can also see. we no longer banging and shouting through the glass.

Cons

high care blaming all the downtime on despatch. However as the data suggest, this is not 100% of the time and it helps us to find the root cause of the problems and both side are working in the same direction.

Before Redzone we use pen and paper to record downtime and after a production run has ended, the data wasn't very accurate. With Redzone, everything is recorded via the sensors and we can understand downtime to the nearest minutes. Team leaders are now account for data accuracy and we are all working the same direction in improving line OEE

Pros

Redzone tells me how the line is performing and I get to see the data and I can oversea the line downtime reasons. I can then easy react to the data and make adjustments from my team to rectify any problems,

Cons

On some of the products, the admins who set up the run rate is different from the plan and therefore it would mess up the data showing more than 120% performance which isn't realistic.
