we can retrieve data so much quicker than before and we are now a paperless factory. we no longer need to use a photo camera to take and upload photos and attach to documents and the whole QA process is much quicker and we can utilise our time elsewhere.

Pros

i like redzone because i find many different modules that i can explore and play around. the application can translate to many different language this help our staff where english is not their first language.

Cons

when we are uploading photos and videos, we can not select multiple items, we can only do it one at a time, this is time consuming. when we are designing the data sheet scheduling triggers, we can only set up one at a time.

My overall experience has been great! I am excited to see where it takes us as we become more familiar with the system.

Pros

It has been a game changer to be able to see and communicate about issues live with the team. Especially from a quality perspective, being able to catch missed or failed checks right when it happens allows us to react faster, and ensure it's being communicated to the correct people immediately. Removing paperwork from the floor is also a huge win!

Cons

At first glance, Redzone was intimidating in its complexity. However, through training and practice it has shown to be a very useful tool.

The site does not have the best internet connection, so sometime we lose signal

i now have full visibility of the site wide maintenance task and we just finishing setting up centerline setting for machine changeovers. this function allows us to ensure the correct settings has been applied to each machine and makes changeover more effective.

Pros

I find Redzone very easy to use. i am the main user of the maintenance module, i use the maintenance dashboard for my daily overview of PM task. i can see what task has been completed and what task requires my attention and i can communicate directly with my team and help them resolve the problems promptly.

Cons

i find the centerline function very limited it doesn't allow flexibility such as data sheets where i can save the datasheet and resume when i completed my task.

before redozne, production team used to call the engineers to attend a breakdown. we would go into any situation without knowing what happened. Now with Redzone, they can share pictures and videos of the breakdown and we can better prepare our visit and sometime even able to help resolve the problem without attending because of better communication.

Pros

Redzone is very user friendly, i can see all the locations on the operations dashboard. i like using work order, i can sent work orders to my team members and get updates and we can share pictures and comments without needing to use paper.

Cons

i have not used ipad before and at the start it takes me a while to get used to it. if would be great if this app is available on PC.

Overall experience has been really good, the support we have received from \[sensitive content hidden\] has been outstanding! I think Redzone is a great tool and a positive move forward for our team.

Pros

Redzone has provided us with a tool to help our front-line workers have a voice to communicate with their team. The use of Redzone has brought supporting departments together with our production team to work as one unit to solve problems and improve processes. Not only does Redzone provide a ton of useful data, but it has also provided a cultural shift and created a more positive, engaged environment.

Cons

We found that the install of Redzone was a little worrisome for our front-line workers. Before installing, some felt like it was a tracking tool for management to track employees, with a lot of meetings to discuss what we want to use the tool for (to give a voice to the workers and help them) the team really bought into it and became more positive. i would say that this is very important and that management at ALL levels should be engaged and supportive.

Pros

Provide a better visualization of data tracking which can be use to help reduce product count loss in the future. This app improve the communication between shifts allowing everyone's voices are heard, from operators to maintenance and quality assurance. Shout out for coach \[sensitive content hidden\] for her superb guidedance and being impressively patient with our operators. The coach helps them become more eager to learn more about Redzone.

Cons

Not entirely a dislike about Redzone but some of our operators have no knowledge using new technology so they have difficulty learning the new software language. With the new compliance system coming in place, the operators also doing both paper batch record and EBR at the same time so it's creating more work for them, but hopefully this issue will end soon after we fully implement paperless system.

Pros

Ease of use and set up. Easy to implement to operations and coaching support has been fantastic.

Cons

Some features missing or not implemented in the way that we currently work. Redzone take on suggestions but may not act upon them.

From inital pitch Redzone were very professional and had a good understanding of what we required. They got their model across and how the software works with engaging the workforce at the frontline. The coaching element also help to introduce new concepts to the wider team of lean management, kaiszen and continual improvement. The messaging and action management functions have improved collaboration bewteen teams and departments. As we have just come out of our 90 day deployment we have a strong foundation to continue building success.

Pros

Visual management of the site OEE performance. The ability to carry out Tier meetings using real time data. Reducing the non-value added time of collating and presenting data at meetings. Support for Redzone Coaches during the deployment.

Cons

Cost of implementation was high. Installation of sensors and associated network, purchase of hardware inc. TVs, Apple devices.

Very positive: so pleased with the level of training and attention from the Redzone team, and thrilled with how different the day to day is from an operational point of view- the ability to capture issues via video and picture and send them to the relevant support or even save them with a solution for future operators is a game changer. Love that feedback can be given straight away to recognise the team, makes everyone feel valued.

Pros

The ease and confidence with which people have been able to learn and interact with Redzone and the difference it makes day to day for teams

Cons

The slight gap (roughly 6 weeks) between initial training and Quality Compliance training I don't feel was necessary - the modules are so easy to learn I think everyone could have done it from the beginning

Pros

Redzone makes 3rd party audits easy. All of the documents generated are searchable is a number of ways depending on what your auditor is looking for. In the past we have have spent an hour or so gathering documents now with Redzone this process takes minutes.

Cons

There is some heavy lifting that needs to be done up front, however once that is done there is very minimal upkeep.

Very positive. Great training, very visual, does most of what we need it to do.

Pros

The coach \[sensitive content hidden\] was great. He was very helpful in building things, very flexible with our schedule, connected with the operators very well, and always had a great attitude, even when we kept him until midnight.

Cons

Some of the data sheets are not super intuitive to use. Wish the timers on compliance checks were more visual, or there was an alert to the operators when they were five/ten minutes from missing a check. Ability to read lot codes for barcode would be useful

before Redzone, when team leaders have problems on their downtime they would have difficult to explain, after using redzone all the line information is easily accessible and managers can help to plan the shift accordingly. Redzone has helped us to see where we are throughtout our production run and we can make better decisions based on the data.

Pros

i like redzone because it allows us to see live data, everything single minute of downtime is accounted and we can easily assigned the downtime reason. As operations manager, we can easily see line status on my ipad.

Cons

i like all features on Redzone and they all serves its purpose, so i have nothing to dislike about Redzone.

Redzone is made it a lot easier to log our line downtime. Is automatically logging the downtime duration and all I need to allocate those time downtime into the correct reason codes.

Pros

We can see all our line data on a screen and it allows us to know what's happening on our line, what's causing the downtime.

Cons

At the moment, I don't use the system enough to dislike it.

Redzone is making downtime entery very easy, before we were struggling to remember specifics downtime, start and end times and also the reasons. Redzone has simplified the process, we just needed to select the downtime from the drop-down menu.

Pros

We save time when using Redzone, it's easier to record downtime. I can sent pictures and videos to my team and problems get resolved quicker using Redzone I don't need to stay on line I can be elsewhere and still able to monitor my own line performance.

Cons

In our production, there is no line cleaning time, the system expects us to immediately finish production. We should allow some downtime as line cleaning to be entered before our break.

Ease of learning and the coaching was very open and user friendly.

Cons

Change is tough no matter what you are implementing in a manufacturing setting. Teaching an older generation of newer technology and convincing them of the ease of the product was not the easiest journey!

The instant visibility of our lin data, puts us in a better position to make decisions. The meeting format helped us to manage actions and it's always available to see until it's resolved.

Pros

Redzone made it available to see all status of the line instantly. It's given us the option to multitask rather than spending a lot of time walking line to line to find out the line status. The engagement from team leaders and allowing them to update the management team using photos, chats and videos.

Cons

The app only shows limited amounts of data, it requires external reports to get more data. When auto starts is enabled, the status page is covered. We would like to still see our current shift status until the end.

Its automatic to capture downtime and it's taking the pressure off on my work. All I need is now to allocate downtime reasons without needing to remember the start and end of each downtime.

Pros

I don't have to go the office for small talks I can inform my manager easier via cha, I can spend more time to get my line running better. It's better than our old system in terms of data entry.

Cons

When I'm busy with other line work and if I didn't start Redzone, the data is not being capture.

the data has enabled us to understand where the problem of our line is, it helped to improve our line performance. the front line team get very engaged and when they see their line is doing well, they get instant feedback from the management team and they enjoy the comments being shown on Tv and ipads.

Pros

i like the data catcher function, i am able to drill into the information which helps us to improve our line performance and effiency.

Cons

i understand the basic of the whole system but in i need more time to understand the admin aspect of the system. it can be a little complicate to understand how each downtime problem and assets are related and we need to set up the system back and forth to suit our needs.

We are using Power BI for analytics, as the in-house analytics is not configurable enough for our needs yet.

now i can see all the paper work that's been done on each production run. the way the datasheet is set up, we can now clearly instruct each operatior what are the next steps if a check is failed. the photos and videos uploads from the front line has helped to prevent any incidents that can impact the business and it gives a voice to the packing floor. they now have a direct link to the management teams for any improvement ideas.

Pros

i love the visibility of redzone for the whole factory and i really enjoy the communication aspect of Redzone, i now have direct contact with the factory at any time, the level of engagement between department is unseen before. the compliance module has enable full visibility of what checks are being made, if its fail or pass or missed. we can directly make changes

Cons

there are some limitations when we do compliance module, for example each check must be linked to a production run or we wouldn't be able to sign off. We can only copy data sheets and we can't copy triggers!

since Redzone has been installed, we have seen great efficiency improvements. Inter departmental communication has improved greatly and accountability of actions is available for everyone to see.

Pros

i think it's real time, live information and very interactive. i can access downtime trend, historical production run data and giving us a chance to make real improvements.

Cons

at the moment, we can not search the line log which mean we have to scroll through pages of information. we can only view by attachments. i am also not able to upload a pre recorded video, i can only upload a live one.
