Excellent Tool, Simple Continuous Improvement Hands-On Training, Great In-Person Support.

Pros

Redzone gave us the ability to unlock capacity by accelerating efficiency and shrink improvements using real time data, simple continuous improvement tools, and easy to use iPad/Apple based technology. Our plant achieved 65% OEE in the first 90 days. We were able to achieve in days what typically takes months thanks to Redzone.

Cons

That we didn't make the decision to implement and launch sooner.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was that many of our associates speak Burmese and Spanish, and I was worried about how that might impact the training. She used simple and clear explanations, along with lots of visuals and hands-on activities, which made a huge difference. Cons

I have truly enjoyed everything about Redzone so far. The experience of rolling out Redzone, the easy use, and the data that comes out is phenomenal.

Pros

Communication for people that normally aren't heard on the floor, or their voice is too quiet-they can be seen and heard. It provides accountability for all to see.

Cons

You can't copy production checks over to quality checks and vice versa-its a pain to rebuild them when you have the wrong designation.

Very positive. I liked the concept before I started working with RZ, but the reality was far above expectations. \[sensitive content hidden\] has been an excellent and critical asset to the Team. I came into RZ implementation a couple years after the start and she boot-strapped my understanding and capabilities such that I could champion for progress and continued implementation on my own. I would not be where I am, and my plant would not be as engaged, without her encouragement and knowledge. Wish I had RedZone in my prior plants.

Pros

Communication, upward and downward, that leads to ownership by all.

Cons

Would like to be able to pull more data / trending. Quite possible the ability exists as I continue to learn the finer details as I explore the systems.

Tableau interfaces haven't been as user friendly as I would have expected. Redzone analytics is also not very customizable.

We implemented Redzone over this past year at Plant 2 and are now moving forward with adding the product over at our Plant 1.

Pros

Support for setup and managing was great. Product is paying for itself by identifying our trouble shooting areas for our heavier lines of product.

Cons

Initial cost is high due to tablets and tv's needed to show the live activity. Plus, the sensors needed at each point of the line.

The ability to track performance and issues in real time, the platform for employees to engage across departments, and the ability to have a log of recent challenges and adjustments on machines or processes.

Cons

There is a distinct learning curve to navigation and where to put the information. While in the end, we were very happy with building it to suit our needs, the upfront demands for setup and rollout exceeded expectations.

Ease of use, great coach! \[sensitive content hidden\] has been great to work with and made our rollout so easy. We ramped up very quickly with the program with his guided help.

Cons

Not a whole lot to add here. Being Apple based is tough from a system communication in house. Data reporting is also harder than I would like.

Pros

Platform for teams to connect. Ability to to retrieve data in no time. Improved and faster communication to address non conformance.

Cons

Too much integration of Compliance module with production module is causing QC check times to be dictated by production crew. No redone admin app availability makes it very inconvenient to achieve what we want to achieve

From the start of our partnership with QAD Redzone, every individual we came in contact with was incredible to work with on multiple occasions. Their team does an excellent job of including your team in their constantly growing community. Also, the coaching that is offered in extremely beneficial to the successful implementation of the system, as well as offering insight to improve current manufacturing processes. Each coach has prior experience of their own in various manufacturing roles, which helps to not only understand your company's processes, but also to connect with the frontline workers that will be using Redzone daily. Our coach, \[sensitive content hidden\], was extremely helpful and incredible to work with each time she was on site. Lastly, the ability to both measure our performance and constantly communicate in real time are two of the major benefits we experience daily. The ease of communication from the essential front-line employees to the executive team instantly became easier and integral to our daily operations. By also showing a real time measurement of performance, each line consistently encourages one another to "stay in the green" and produce high quality products at extremely efficient rates. Overall, our implementation and partnership with Redzone has proven to be a beneficial addition!

Cons

I wouldn't necessarily consider this a con, but from the beginning, your team's Redzone "champion" will be required to gather a lot of information that is essential to allowing the system to function properly. The toughest information to gather involved the naming of downtime codes and establishing a correct TMAX rate. With the amount of experience Redzone has in the creation of these essential items, having a Redzone employee on-site for this phase would be extremely helpful. The gathering of this critical information would run much smoother with a Redzone presence on the production floor.

Our experience has been amazing. Everyone from sales to coaching has been nothing short of creating an experience for us. Not just a job to them.

Pros

Saco Foods prides ourselves in the programs we've implemented over the years to help employees feel engated, food safety, food quality and overall systems. My position involves Supplier Approval Programs so I have toured many facilities, and starting seeing Redzone pop up. I was intrigued. In further research I felt it was a great program to implement. We had no idea how great it would be. One of the most meaningful benfits of Redzone is the operator engagement. Putting all savings aside (and we have seen a 54% increase in OEE), our employees feel a part of the program and the company. They take ownership in themselves and in the company. People care and want you to know that, and they want to feel they're a productive part of the process. We cannot say enough good things about Redzone.

Cons

I have literally sat here and thought about how to answer this for 10 minutes. I come up with absolutely nothing. There have been no downsides from our experience!

Before Redzone, I used to spend a lot of time manually inputting data from sheets of paper into our Excel files. This was a very administrative and time-consuming task. Now, all the necessary checks are being filled and submitted via Redzone. I have full visibility of the paperwork, including when it was completed and the pass/fail status of the checks. I can better use my time on other tasks. Redzone has also helped me save time on managing work orders much more efficiently.

Pros

We are now paperless because of Redzone. I find the admin app very easy to use, and I can manage all my settings. Changes can be applied quickly, and I can also see the log of changes that I have made.

Cons

Redzone is not available on PC and i can only use ipad to access the main app.

We are now 80% paperless within the engineering department, i used review 30 paper documents per day and now i can just use my ipad. Redzone allows me to see all live information of all the production lines and i can give support to where it's needed.

Pros

Redzone has many functions, such as productivity and reliability and compliance and learning. the systems helps us to use the ipad to completed checklist and documentations and makes data retrieval very easy. i find the app interface very user friendly.

Cons

Because it has so many different features, i feel it can get confusing to get used to at the start. i also discovered that some of the translation is missing for the Thai language. i would like to see more inventory management features and as well as project management.

Great program with a lot of room to grow. Great team and amazing coaches who take their time to understand your processes to make sure they are adding value to your team.

Pros

The way the compliance module so easily integrates into the productivity module made it a smooth transition to a paperless state.

Cons

Some of the templates and triggers provided were less than ideal. It would be nice to see product filters available for shift triggers within the compliance module.

Redzone has enabled us to focus on the key areas of downtime. the aiblity of uploading photos and videos at the time of the incident and able to help to identify the root cause of the problems more efficently. The actions has helped enginers to keep tracks of current tasks that they are working on and allowing smoother handover between shifts. so they are aware what tasks are outstanding.

Pros

The ability to analyse data more readly, i like the visibility of the overall factory performance, OEE and downtime trends. the communication aspect of redzone is a lot more efficient easily accessible by all departments.

Cons

the limitation now is that we can only upload 1 photo at a time. and also not able to upload stored videos. i would like the ability the search in the log. i would like to see the timeline of checks filled alone the production runs.

Pros

I like that it lets you know when the next check is due. It holds people accountable and stops the pencil whipping.

Cons

I wish that when the shift is done and the line is down the fired checks do not cancel automatically. You have to manually cancel them if the check goes off but the line goes down. I also wish filtering the reports was a bit easier to get to and with more options of what I want to see.

Redozne helped us to understand the correct downtime reasons, the challenges that we have been facing daily, now it's being revealed and there's no hiding from it and we are able to resolve these problems The meeting structure is very helpful and actions get escalated to the correct department and problems gets addressed according.

Pros

I think Redzone is very easy to use and I can find live information. As an area manager, I can instantly give feedback to my team leaders and help with to resolve any problems on their lines. The line historical data is also widely available.

Cons

Because we have different shift patterns and the software is flexible to use in different methods, we need to standardise the correct operating procedures and needs to get everyone aligned.

Redzone is helping us greatly with communication. We have a group chat for all team leaders and information are managed and shared instantly.

Pros

I like everything about Redzone. I don't need to run around to monitor my lines and I love the communication aspect of Redzone. I can get to know downtime quickly and if the line is stoped I can immediately react to the problem. Redzone has made decisions making easier.

Cons

I would to see directly video call. At the moment is limited to pictures and videos. When internet is down, the system is down.

Cons

Only being able to use Apple products. Being able to use Android devices would have given us much more options.
