It finds a balance between affordability, compliance features, and security monitoring though it has some limitations compared to high-end SIEM solutions like Splunk or IBM QRadar. Pros One of Manage Engine EventLog Analyzer's best qualities is how simple it is to use and deploy compared to other log management solutions, which makes it easier for those without advanced SIEM knowledge to complete the initial configurations. It can collect logs from Windows, Linux, firewall, routers and cloud services in one place. Eventlog Analyzer supports Syslog, SNMP, WMI, and agent-based log collection. Cons There is a minimum device quantity purchase requirement for Evenlog Analyzer's per-device licensing model. For example, the smallest number of syslog device licenses that you can purchase is 10. Therefore, even if your environment does not contain 10 syslog devices, you still need to buy 10.
