Surprises are rarely welcome and the amazing customer support just puts it over the top. Having used multiple other platforms like YouTube, Wistia, Vimeo, Hippo Video, etc. all of which do a solid job. I cannot imagine ever working with another company and anyone who is looking for a video hosting platform for their business owes it to evaluate SproutVideo. Pros As a heavy user of SproutVideo, I must say that my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The platform offers some amazing features and get consistent compliments on my virtual exhibit hall. What truly sets this SproutVideo apart is its exceptional customer service. Whenever I encounter any issues or have questions, the support team is always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. Their professionalism and dedication to resolving any issues and getting creative to make SproutVideo work for me is rare in the SAAS space. I highly recommend this platform to any businesses looking for a reliable and user-friendly video hosting service. Cons Nothing... The system works amazingly well for my needs and every time I come up with a feature request or something I need they are quick to solve it and add it to their roadmap. Maybe the ability to capture emails at the end of a video vs the start and then feed it using Zapier to other platforms but that's minor and it wouldn't surprise me if that's something they are working on. Pros We recently transferred our video database to Sprout Video and are super happy with the results so far. We love how easy it is to customize and integrate the videos into our Patroen page. Any issues and work arounds have been quickly resolved with the customer care team at our service. Cons Often we are unable to upload directly from mobile (probably due to a cloud error on our end), so we need to first transfer it to a computer and then from there upload via a web browser. It would be great to have a built in editor on SproutVideo so we could trim the videos that are already uploaded. We have also learned that we are not able to upload any videos shot vertically as it results in a crop malfunction on the streamer's end. I wanted to have an individual view for each user in my account and I had to switch providers. It gives me the ability to share video to people outside of my organization, while ensuring the confidential information within is protected. Pros I came to Sprout because I was looking for a way to share senstive video assets. The dynamic watermark feature is excellent and gives me confidence that the content will not "accidentally" end up somewhere it shouldn't. Cons I find the interface to add users and share videos with them a little clunky. Its not super intuitive and if I havent been in the tool for a minute it always takes me a second to figure it out again. Dir. of. It worked great then and still works great. Pros Other video hosting sources tell you that user data is not available. Sprout makes it available at a reasonable cost. It is important for my training to be able to provide who watched a video and for what length of time. Cons Seems like sometimes the options that are selected do not work on the first try. I have little question on how to use the platfiorm because it is so user friendly. I have not had any customers call with any issues while watching our videos which is awesome! Pros The Crisp clean look of the live videos and how easy it is to use! Cons I wish there was a way to group multiple videos and set the video privacy as a whole rather then video by video. It has all the bells and whistles I need for delivering educational content. It has allowed me to keep my own customer's fees down while getting first rate service and hosting for my video content. I did try other prominent platforms and found Sprout to be the most efficient and affordable option hands down. The biggest plus is the customer service and tech support. When something went wrong with one of my courses, the Sprout customer service team had the problem diagnosed, fixed and up and running within the hour. You can't find that kind of service everywhere. I highly recommend this hosting service and have done so to others. Pros I love that I was able to access and use the Sprout Video platform from the beginning. The ease of use was definitely a plus. I am fairly tech savy but the Sprout Video platform was exceptionally user friendly and easy for me adapt to my needs as an educational provider. The greatest plus for me was being able to safeguard my original content with password protection and monitoring of those accessing my content. Cons At different levels of use, streaming capacity and storage varied and I had to make some tough decisions. I did switch to a greater capacity license but next next bump up would be a significant expense for me. I would have liked a more incremental bump in capacity, storage and price. The first two levels were extremely price friendly for me as a small educational platform. Sproutvideo has been a great, easy solution for those videos and then as videos have become a key communicating tool for employee tutorials and marketing I kept using Sproutvideo because it works so well. I've had no problems with the service going down or being unreliable in any way. I've been really happy with this software! Pros I find it intuitive to navigate, which is important because as a small biz owner I navigate a lot of software in a day! What I really like is that it is super easy to grab the URL or embed code, which I use in my websites. I also use the playlist feature for employee tutorials, which is super helpful. I get a ton of space and lots of easy controls over who can view, such as private (only through embed), password protected, or public.
