QuickBooks Payroll is easy to use and helps me manage our payroll with no trouble. Our company is small, so for the time being, we still use paper for the checks and pay stubs. The great thing is that we are in the process of switching everything to being digital. Overall, this software is great. The software is secure, and the set up is straightforward. I can clearly see how much money is going out weekly.

Pros

We love how simple it is. This was the first payroll app I've ever used and I didn't have any trouble picking it up. It also made it easy to get my employees setup and paid.

Cons

On occasion we do run into a problem where the taxes are not being taken out. This has only happened once but quickbooks support team was fast and extremely helpful, which helped us get the issue resolved.

QuickBooks Payroll is the first software that I used. Although I dont have a formal training but I became expert using this software. I trained some of my co worker for this software.

Pros

This is friendly user accounting software. I like this very much. Very easy to learn even no background in Accounting.

Cons

You can edit even the reports are already done. You should put all data and give more time. I dont want use quickbooks if my computer is MAC.

### "Beware of early payroll tax deposit requirements for automatic payroll features"

Giving Intuit too much control of our money instead of just helping us track and report our finances.

Pros

QBO Payroll is easy to integrate for small business owners - sometimes too easy. It's nice to have everything in one place.

Cons

QuickBooks now takes tax deposits 6 weeks ahead of due date for taxes based on recently client experience. They hold this money in a separate account (earning interest for their pockets - not shared with our clients). My client has had to turn of automatic payroll features because he can't afford to give Intuit his money for 6 weeks at a time.

This software was easy to use. It was especially good when trying run a small retail business with only a few employees. I wouldn’t really say I had any cons with his software. I wouldn’t use it for a large company. Its more for small businesses.

I use QBO Payroll to run payroll for clients, and overall it makes the process smooth. Everything stays clean in the file, and it saves me time. It’s not the cheapest option, but the integration and ease of use make it worth it for me.

Pros

I like that it’s already inside QuickBooks, so I don’t have to deal with extra syncing or posting journal entries. The setup is simple, and it’s easy to set up different pay types for different clients. Workforce is also a plus - clients’ employees can log in and get their own paystubs and info without me being the middle person.

Cons

It does cost more than some other payroll options. I’ve run into a couple of glitches here and there, but support has been good and got things sorted out pretty quickly.

Was a great easy to use program for starting out. The larger our company became we had to transition to something more substantial to handle Out of state Payrolls and Certified Payrolls. But for smaller companies - Works just fine.

Pros

Very easy to use. Easy to make changes. User friendly for employees entering their time. Great starter app.

Cons

Did not do multi-state payroll. Does not do Certified Payroll - Davis Bacon Wages. Customer Support is only through an email. Can't connect with anyone on a call.

Overall I believe it’s a useful tool as an employer. Its ease of use and customization lightens the load of an often overworked employer. As an employee, it was a fine system to use to log hours and track time.

Pros

I’ve had the pleasure of utilizing QB Payroll from the employer standpoint as well as employee. The range of customization as an employer is very beneficial. This is especially true where taxes are concerned. QB Payroll has options for setting up state and federal and federal taxes, as well as PTO, and things like wage garnishment. From the employee standpoint, the ease of use was undeniable. The ability to view your weekly schedule was a plus as well.

Cons

From the employer perspective, payroll submission could get especially tricky during holidays. Depending on which plan you pay for depends on when you need payroll submitted. Holidays means having to submit early and if missed, you had employees going without pay. No opinion from the employee perspective

It has been very smooth and easy. I would definitely recommend QuickBooks Payroll to anyone who is looking for an easy payroll system that helps file all the taxes and keep track of everything. I utilize the download option so I can keep using QuickBooks Desktop.

Pros

We have been using QuickBooks Online Payroll for over 9 years at this point. It is simplistic and easy to use. They are consistently adding new features and options that come with no additional cost. They make it easy to see what taxes will be taken out and have great customer support. They utilize a system that keeps the employee informed where they can easily get pay stubs. They are quick to fix any bugs or issues.

Cons

I don't have anything I dislike. It is an easy program to use. They are usually a few steps in front of me so I can every really suggest anything they need to add.

I have been using quickbook payroll for many years. I love the reports very easy to understand. Employee profiles are easy to setup, you can add deductions for garnishments, advances, set a limit and the system will stop deducting when that limit has hit. Do not like the $5.00 direct deposit that is charged for each employee that does direct deposit they should rethink this other programs are much less. Great program but they are going to hurt themselves with this fee.

Pros I like most about QuickBooks Payroll would include Security, Value for Money, Customer Support.

Cons

Cons I like least about QuickBooks Payroll is what seems to be lack of communication within there call CENTERS s we get repeat calls over and OVER.

Pros

I liked Quickbooks Payroll because the customer service availability is a 10/10. I was able to get assistance quickly for each issue.

Cons

I do not consider Quickbooks Payroll easy to use. I can use most products after I go through a quick training but this was tough for me.

Quickbooks payroll was very easy to use, and banking integration was simple. Customer support is quick and helpful. Paystubs are easy to access. Overall good value for the cost.

Cons

Quickbooks can be a little hard to use for new customers who aren’t familiar with payroll management. A couple of big issues that were dealt with.

The cost, the cost has gone up quite a bit since we first started using it, recently being to largest increase.

I'm overall very pleased with my experience. I haven't incurred any real issues with the software. I've had to call support just a few times with minor questions or concerns but was always met with a resolution.

Pros

I love having payroll within the accounting system so all the data flows so seamlessly. I'm also a big fan of QuickBooks Payroll autofiling and autopaying the payroll taxes. This takes a huge burden off the small business staff.

Cons

The biggest con is the cost. For my client's with a large headcount, it makes it too expensive to use QuickBooks Payroll. I wish discounts were offered based on staff size.

It works great and does everything it needs to do. A variety of the usual payroll options are available such as different payperiod set up option, ability to split employee paychecks, and many chance to review input data before finalizing.

Pros

QuickBooks Payroll is intuitive to use making payroll a breeze. It is easy to correct errors and make adjustments before final submission and even then I have found the customer service team to be very helpful.

Cons

Sometimes it can be difficult to integrate with time tracking software but that is more likely because of the time tracking software than QuickBooks Payroll.

efficient and easy to use. provides timely advice and helpful admin issues. They have different levels of oversight

Cons

We have had some issues with admin which we hope to resolve without involving any legal counsel. the plan owner cannot override main administrator without providing key passwords

I used to handle payroll by myself but once I added it to our Quickbooks account it really took a lot of pressure off me to generate payroll in a timely manner. The automated feature adds value for me.

Pros

QuicjBooks Payroll handles all the payroll plus deductions taken each month. I also can schedule it so that it is automatic each month.

Cons

The cost is a little high. I didn’t like having to pay extra at first but because it takes away the burden of getting the payments out in a timely manner, I have found it worth the cost.

Love it! Staff are able to clock in and out, I am able to change any information that is needed. Direct deposit has been a life saver.

Pros

Makes it easy to pay staff and taxes both state and federal. I am still working on how to set up customer information due to having most cases paid by the county and not clients directly. Customer support has been amazing. Any question I have they are quick to resolve. I feel safe proving information to the site as well as saving pay stubs for clients. This is one of the best investments I have made in the 8 years of being a business owner. So far any issues that I have had have been resolved.

Cons

I have no issues thus far with QuickBooks. The only thing that I did not like was the auto draft for employees, it would not catch the additional hours they worked. It would only pay for the set time/schedule.

Pros

It helped streamlined my payroll for my employees in an easy manner to understand. I loved how the spreedsheets worked and was able to calculate monetary amounts.

Cons

I wish it would of costed less money to buy the software than what I had to pay to get it, but after I used it once I knew it was for me.

The cost is a little higher than a lot of payroll providing programs but in the end it was all worth it and I will use it next year.

Pros

It works seamlessly with QuickBooks accounting software, making it easier to manage both payroll and finances in one place. And tax filing, I love that I don’t have to add all employees records one by one

Cons

I’ve only experienced a couple glitches using the app. Sometimes it crashes but it’s no big deal, it happens rarely

So far it's decent. We had an employee to put the wrong bank info in for direct deposit and QBP is not quick to correct the debit from my account. I had to write a check and now i have 2 debited payrolls for the employee, 7 days later no refund showing yet despite assurance it will refund soon. I will follow up.

Pros

Easy to view employees, their hours, set job expectations, easy to setup employees when hired on. Easy to fix issues if they arise.

Cons

The cost is rising and we barely need all the services provided. There should be a la cart options for building our own package of services needed vs jumping to the next substantial cost increase.
