It’s been wonderful! Transfer was smooth! Great customer service!

Pros

I love that it is geared specifically towards our industry

Cons

That there isn’t a way for clients to add their credit card when I schedule them (like a link they have to complete before the appointment time is confirmed) and a text system to remind them their appointment starts in 15mins and they can check in. Then stylist can say they are ready for the client via text too

Pros

I like the way the Appointment management is set up and the value for your money. Gloss is always looking for ways to improve too.

Cons

At first it is a huge learning curve with gloss but once you get it figured out you will love gloss it.

### "There are better options for your business"

My overall experience with is that for a lower-cost system, it's okay. They are continuously raising the prices and making different tiers, which is normal, but they are trying to add too much too quickly. The system cannot keep up with it. They do not follow up with their members to see what they like and what they don't like. The lower cost was no longer worth the headache that GlossGenius created for my business.

Pros

What I liked most about is that when I first started using it, it was really aesthetically pleasing. It was one of the lower-cost options, and at that point it was important to me that it was extremely affordable.

Cons

What I didn't like about is that the system was always "down". There were a lot of times that I couldn’t get in to see what clients I had for the day, or I couldn’t find their color formula because I couldn’t even log into the system. Every time they make an update, it seems to throw everything off. They were constantly changing the aesthetics of it.

Great! I enjoy learning on th app and discovering new things. I would like to be able to edit the flyers in the app.

Pros

I love the easibilty of the website. Not only for me but my clients. I love the text messaging and the goals. I love everything even the gift cards!

Cons

I don’t like that I can post the gift cards, that I can only load one pic at a time and that I can’t upload videos. I’m still learning the app though.

I really love using for my business it's like having an assistant that not only helps with clients reminders but to keep in file every service, formula and products they purchase. It really has made my job so much easier.

Not being able to save more than 1 card payment since clients are always changing card payment. Not having holidays in the calender.

### "Be a Boss with Gloss"

Overall, I am really enjoying Gloss. I love the convenience of the automated text. I also love that I am able to customize my features. It is very easy to navigate.

Pros

For me, I love that does the automated notifications for myself and for my clients. I have a hard time keeping up with that myself, so I appreciate that Gloss does it for me.

Cons

I wish there were more color options for my service items. There isn’t an option available for booking when room sharing. If there were an option for select services to allow for double booking(ie- if my roommate has a scheduled lash appointment , I can schedule hair appts during that time but my clients can not schedule lashes while she is lashing, that would be amazing.

### "The Best Booking App"

I’m pleased 1000% I really love everything about . It’s very much needed and easy to use along with setting up your favorites.

Pros

Being able to allow my clients to book out as far as I like. I’m not always available to recieve calls or answer text messages.

Cons

Not being able to get money instantly. Honestly that’s not even a problem but if I have to really goose it would be the fees attached.

I’ve had it for a couple years now and love It. I love that they also give you a finance option. It helps a lot

Pros

It’s organized and it texts my clients without me having to. Has so many options to choose from. Payments are affordable for the app

I couldn’t use anything else! Simple to use for me & my clients, payments are very simple, plus the amount of options in this app helps a lot when starting a new business.

I have used many different apps before but Gloss Genius has been the best of the best. Very easy for me & my clients to use!

That they don’t have like a type of “salon scale” so I can track the amount of color I use. I had to purchase another subscription for that.

I love it. It helps me keep everything organized and together in one place. I love that I can set goals, keep up with product and inventory, easily change things, communicate with clients, and the analytics and reports are life savers

Pros

That it’s so user friendly and affordable. All payments and processing are convenient and secure. Other than last fall I’ve had no bugs, issues, or crashes. Scheduling is a breeze and online booking is very simple for clients to navigate.

Cons

That I can’t create add on’s without adding time to services. At least not easily. IE if I want to charge for extra length I have to manually add it during checkout as opposed to adding it under services

I have been able to build clientele by using compared to old school paper/pencil. I’m most definitely satisfied with my experience. They continue to enhance and improve.

Pros

I appreciate the ease of booking appointments in person and online. The value compared to monthly cost, is an added bonus. I also appreciate the sense of security involved with the program and with support.

Cons

One thing that is time consuming, is not being able to check out multiple clients at the same time, especially when you have family members together.

Im very satisfied with I haven’t experienced any issues. I love my wait list options and how easy it is for clients to add themselves to the waitlist

The simplicity for my business and my clients love how easy it is to book a service and not being over complicated and how convenient it is to fill out consent forms

I wish it allowed us to set up different times for working days have to manually do it for each day.

Best decision of my life It keeps my schedule tight, my clients organized, and my income flowing. I love how professional everything looks—text reminders, sleek booking links, and a service menu that makes me look high-end without me lifting a finger. Clients love the easy interface. I love not chasing people down.

Pros

As a salon owner juggling appointments, staff, payments, and constant client communication, I’ve tried nearly every booking app out there—and is the one I’ve stuck with.

Cons

My only wish? That they’d improve the texting capabilities or allow mass messages with personal touches—because individual follow-ups take time I don’t always have. But even with that, it still earns a solid 9/10 from me.

I’ve used GG since 2023 and it’s been great for me! It’s very easy to navigate for both me and my customers and makes booking clients super easy!

Pros

I can book my appointments and receive payouts all in one place, and it’s so easy to navigate on both sides.

Cons

I personally haven’t had any bad experiences with GG. I know that it has gone down a few times but that happens with just about any site at any given point. It has not affected my business negatively at all.

5 stars since gloss is always integrating new things almost weekly. The goals settings is my favorite I love to see my progress weekly.

Pros

I absolutely love I’ve been utilizing the system for over 2 years now and I love how innovative they are and how they listen to all of our requests.

Cons

I only hope that Gloss makes the reports more customizable. I would love to break down my reports into more detail and be able to check out 2 guests in one transaction.

### "So happy I chose Gloss"

Very user friendly and just overall amazing! I am very happy I chose when I started my own venture and I tell others in the field about it all the time!

Pros

Instant payout and loans they are both so helpful to business owners. They help steady cash flow and make it easy for business owners who don’t want to get a bank loan.

Cons

Hmm this one is really hard I would say sometimes the app glitches when I am near a certain letter in the alphabet when choosing my clients to send a marketing text to. That is the only con I can think of!

Magnificent. I'm glad to be apart of the Gloss genius family. I have not really received any new clients from the site itself but my clients love that it is easy to maneuver through.

Pros

I love the layout format for both gold and regular plans. I love that they had forms we could use to make sure our clients were well aware of policies and that we were covered with color waivers. I also love the intake forms. I'm new to the loans but they have worked for me so far as well and I believe it is a plus for stylist who need to get ahead on some things.

Cons

I wish I had an area where I could sale products on the site. I am however able to go in myself and add a product to their checkout but I would love to have it available for them to purchase on site. With me being a Trichologist I focus on healing the body as a whole and offer affirmation/build me up packages for my clients.

I’ve had a awesome time using gloss genius! It’s very user friendly and makes my day go be smoothly!

Pros

Love how easy it is for my customers to use the gloss genius app! Gloss genius is very easy to schedule appointments! My customers love that they get reminders and are able to update things on their service on their own !

Cons

Don’t really like how on holidays or before holidays the funds don’t get deposited same day. But overall great!
