### "Excellent Decision Making Tool"

August 2, 2021

5.0

Extremely simple to implement, and we keep finding new ways to utilize the data we have collected.

Pros

Ability to pull reports on any piece of information that is collected about any of my computers. This allows our team to make decisions that are much more informed. I've used it for targeting software that needs to be removed from our network. One particularly interesting case was to track down a specific printer attached with USB by serial number. We wrote a custom WMI query scanner and located the computer the printer was attached to.

Cons

I wish the capability of this software extended beyond the local network. Always-On VPN is not a feasible option in our environment. An agent-based option is something I would be willing to pay extra for.

PDQ allows us to roll out and update software packages quickly and effectively.Hours of work now takes a couple of minutes.,

Pros

PDQ allows us to manage 100’s of devices simply and effectively.

Cons

We had some issues with billing but these were mostly down to our UK credit card paying dollars.

### "My PDQ review after a year of use"

December 13, 2022

5.0

I rate them a 10/10 very satified. One of the best product out there to use that is so simple to use.

Pros

PDQ makes managing printers a breeze. Very easy to use and manage. on the fly changes that auto updates to end users. easy to rename printers change and replace drivers. Love the map to show where your printers are. the auto install of printers is amazing and sinces with active Directory users and computers. Love this feature.

Cons

Honestly the only thing that i am not a fan of is there is not call in support. only support through email. but in their defence they are quick to respond and extremly knowable.

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

Simple to use. It absolutely works as described. very efficient. Managing printer has never been so easy.

### "PDQ Deploy"

October 26, 2021

5.0

I install all software remotely now. It works great for lab environments that need all of the same software installed. It saves time instead of going to each system to install software.

Pros

Remotely install software and patch them.

Cons

Have a supported way to install Window feature updates.

### "The best admin tool available, bar none"

September 12, 2018

5.0

This is amazing software, especially paired with PDQ Inventory. It has cut down our administrative overhead by ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE. This frees up ridiculous amounts of time for IT staff to do other things. I can't recommend PDQ enough.

Pros

PDQ Deploy does everything you want do at the desktop as an admin, but wish you didn't have to actually go to the desktop. It's everything SCCM is without the cost or complication.

Cons

Some of the wording they use in the dialogs and whatnot can cause you to do a double take. It's not even really much of a speed bump. But I do feel they could look at some of links and menu items and the like and reword them to be clearer.

### "Very Useful Software For System Administration & Device Management"

December 14, 2022

5.0

PDQ Deploy and Inventory have made systems administration a whiole lot effective and easier for me. I'm able to deploy packages to hundreds of devices simultaneously, schedule updates or deployments, filter devices by location, and VNC into devices within the network.

Pros

The ability to easily deploy packages to devices

Cons

I wish the software would auto-update changes in a device's name or IP address.

### "For the price, you can not beat PDQ Inventory and Deploy"

December 21, 2022

5.0

We are so thankful for this program. After just a few days on the free trial, I signed up for the full suite. The premade packages to deploy, the simplicity of the console, how quickly it deploys and reports back.. It has saved hours per week of my staffs time.

Pros

PDQ is very easy to deploy and manage. I have handed this off to entry level personnel, and they don't even have to ask me questions.

Cons

It is not as powerful as SCCM, which we still use, but it has taken 75% of SCCMs work and made it simple. SCCM is not simple.

Love the product. Love the ease of use

Pros

Love how easy it is to set up and deploy software. And the connection between Deploy and Inventory makes it even easier.

Cons

Sometimes it does not find a computer and the help section doesn't actually help resolve the issue.

### "Perfect for a small shop"

December 21, 2022

5.0

I took over at a small/medium firm that did not have any type of deployment software in place. I had experience with the free version of PDQ Deploy years ago at another small business and new that it would be at least worth trying it here. After creating a good service account with the correct permissions, I was rolling out test deployments with ease. Now, I use it every day either deploying software or finding new things to setup.

Pros

\- Easy to set up- Easy to use- Small infrastructure footprint- Low resource needs- Helpful community- Fits needs of a small business

Cons

I can not think of any negatives currently.

### "PDQ has changed the way I managed my environment"

December 22, 2022

Cons

### "PDQ Awesome software to keep up with your installed products and keep them up to date."

December 13, 2022

5.0

PDQ solves the calls/tickets to the help desk to update software. PDQ keeps track of my software and keeps them all patched up.

Pros

I love several things, 1. Doesn't take any time to get the software downloaded/installed/ and configured. I literally purchased the software and had it deploying updates to my software packages within an hour(probably less). The pre built packages were nice, simply search and deploy. I was also able to build some of my packages easily and deploy.

Cons

Thus far I haven't found a specific thing I like least about the software.

### "It does what it promises"

June 15, 2021

5.0

Pros

it's simple, objective and robust. We are able to deploy practically everything we need, even solutions that are not ready, PDQ Deploy gives us conditions to develop.

Cons

Memory Usage. PDQ Deploy over time consumes more and more memory on the server.

### "Very useful for discovering, managing, and resolving problems with hardware and software."

June 21, 2021

4.0

Great overall experience. My team and I use it daily for a wide variety of use cases, ranging from security patching, break-fix, reporting, problem correlation, and remote control of computers. We use many of these use cases in conjunction with PDQ Deploy. It is the most comprehensive computer management tool I have used.

Pros

Dynamic Collections, advanced querying, custom scans with PowerShell, and flexibility with building tools.

Cons

No recycle bin or version control. It's easy to break advanced configurations by making the wrong change and having to recreate from scratch. Collection Membership updating performance could be improved; occasionally while creating and tweaking new filters, the update time can be problematic.

### "Quick overview of your installed assets and their software inventory"

December 22, 2022

4.0

We maintain the latest Security patches for applications and deploy where necessary. It's important to run latest version of software.

Pros

We can easily see all of our connected hardware in one overview, Windows version, build version etc. It's great you can update packages installed on devices and see which are outdated or got the latest version you accepted. You can use the inventory and copy the devices easily and use them in PDQ deploy.

Cons

If devices run at home it's hardware to track them and obtain updates. Once they connect back in the office it starts to work again or you have to setup VPN which is possible too.

### "PDQ Deploy"

December 21, 2022

5.0

I am very satisfied and look forward to really using more of the features to their fullest extent.

Pros

The ability to speed up new machine deployments and patching. With PDQ deploy I am able to apply packages without monitoring and get a report of what was installed quickly while working on other tasks.

Cons

I also use PDQ inventory extensively. It would be awesome if they could also monitor other items such as printers.

### "Yes, you want Inventory too"

August 13, 2021

5.0

PDQ Inventory will at first seem like it's optional. Yeah, PDQ Deploy is amazing. Though, Inventory is what you need to truly unlock the potential of Deploy. The ability to create really smart Dynamic Collections, then perform deployments on them is what makes the duo unstoppable. They're truly better together. I can't tell you how many times I'll hear an end user complain about a computer, and the first thing I'll do is a quick search to find out system information in PDQ Inventory.

Pros

Dynamic collections make my heart happy. We're able to stay on top of endpoint status without the burden of manual entry.

Cons

I love the software. In reality, the only thing I could ask for is the ability to do some closer to real-time alerts.

### "PDQ Deploy - Straight to the point"

December 21, 2022

5.0

I've been using PDQ in some capacity for over 6 years now and even though I have products that do similar tasks, I will alkways keep PDQ in my toolbox.

Pros

Easy to setup in both stand alone and client/server environments. Creating custom packages couldn't be any easier. Simple reporting keeps you informed of what succeeded and failed

Cons

The only thing I wish PDQ Deploy had was an agent so I could push to endpoints that aren't on the same network.

### "PDQ Inventory"

July 9, 2021

5.0

PDQ has amazing customer service and are always there to help. PDQ inventory provides great insight for us to manage our computers.

Pros

My company was already using PDQ Inventory when I started and I'm glad they were. It's a great piece of software that allows us to easily track computers in our domain. It is able to track computer information through registry, WMI, and about anything you can do in Powershell. We are able to run reports and create collections of computers to track the presence or lack of software, updates, reg keys and many other features.

Cons

PDQ Inventory has some issues managing computers that are not in a connected domain.
