### "Can't live without it"

December 22, 2022

5.0

I had an initial issue with building my first package. I reached out to their support team which was top shelf. I had made a simple mistake which they found and then educated me on why it didn't work so I wouldn't make the same mistake.

Pros

What I like most about this software is the ability to push out software to all my devices. Once a package has been built you are set. When you need to upgrade that software all you have to do is update the .exe/.msi file and you can still use the original package you built. I also support multiple domains and it integrates really easily.

Cons

Don't have an option right now for work from home pc's.

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

I had no time for demoing, so I had to go with the recommendation. So glad I did. No regrets.

### "Time & Sanity Saver!"

December 13, 2022

5.0

From day one this software has been rock solid in all of the applications we use it for. We had a critical piece of software we needed installed immediately and I was able to setup a schedule to attempt to install the software every 30 minutes across my entire network, multiple locations throughout the state. This helped ensure that every machine received the software as we sometimes have trouble getting GPO installs to work in every office. Since then I have relied of PDQ for all of my install and updates. I've even started creating my images with the bare minimum of software and just use PDQ deploy for the last mile.

Pros

PDQ is incredibly simple to setup and use. It has streamlines rolling out new software and updates, I often use it over GPOs because I know it works 100% of the time.

Cons

I haven't found anything I do not like about PDQ deploy. It fills the role I had intended to use it for perfectly.

### "Indispensable inventory managment"

August 11, 2021

5.0

Our most typical use case for PDQI is determining what software/versions are installed on each machine so we don't need to waste time (or create confusion) in pushing updates to machines that are already current -Watching un-updated computers drop from the dynamic collections gives peace of mind and an easy metric for completion.

Pros

The ability to create a huge variety of reports on every element of the hardware and software in our environment (at least that I've come up with a need for so far) is a priceless function on its own, but the ability build both static and dynamic collections that integrate seamlessly with PDQ Deploy makes both programs excel - Using both in tandem is like having cheat codes for hardware and software management.

Cons

Sometimes finding the right combination of conditions to build the collections can be a little tricky, but support is ALWAYS there to help get things resolved quickly.

### "Easy Windows deployment and management"

October 3, 2018

4.0

PDQ has made installation and management of our Windows computers easy and inexpensive. Capable of integrating with Active Directory, finding and pushing software to Windows computers is a breeze. Partnered with PDQ Inventory, we would find ourselves working much harder without it.

Pros

Pre-built deployments AD Integration Automated deployments Easy to use and setup

Cons

No OS X or Linux support. Would be awesome if I didn't have to find another program to manage those operating systems, even for the basics.

### "Ease of Use"

June 12, 2021

5.0

Love it. Makes my job easier to find a computer with particular features, say all machines with this particular software updates or all machines that have 8 gigs. It is a very powerful database program that does inventory.

Pros

easy to use for hardware / software inventory reports, for computer location, creating groups of computers so softwares can be targeted to that group, and no where else, waking up computers, dynamic collections - keeps up with current records of computers (hardware and software)

Cons

at the moment I can't think of any. It has all the features I need, to be honest. Perhaps the PDQ team can provide script packages, instead of searching for them online and adding or modifying them in the pdq inventory extra features that have been introduced. PDQ already done script package just like pdq deploy package.

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

Tried it, ease of use, made my job easier.

### "PDQ Deploy "

December 21, 2022

5.0

PDQ helps keeps our system up to date as well as allow IT to push out updates fast and easy.

Pros

This software is super intuitive and convenience once you get to use it for a while. Software deployment is easy and the ability to schedule it make it super powerful.

Cons

PDQ separates the software into smaller products. In my opinion, PDQ deploy and inventory should be combined.

### "PDQ a lot of value for the money"

December 21, 2022

5.0

PDQ does as good a job or better than products that are much more expensive, and the bonus is that PDQ is simple to learn and manage.

Pros

PDQ Deploy and Inventory changed the way we work and saved the IT staff a huge amount of time. Befor PDQ we had to do manual patching and could never keep up. After getting Deploy we have patching set on auto pilot and we can get reports of the status of updates.

Cons

Having to use a third party for remote access, in our case VNC.

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

Cost and ease of use.

### "It just makes life easier"

December 13, 2022

5.0

Outstanding value at the price point for the product capabilities.

Pros

I love that it's an all in one solution for deploying new software, maintaining updates, and keeping up on security patching.

Cons

Sometimes the AD integration function causes me issues. It decides not to dump machines that no longer exist.

### "PDQ is a Joy"

June 15, 2021

5.0

Pros

The automation capabilities provided by PDQ have allowed our team to offload meaningless manual tasks. We are able to reliably and regularly patch all of software we maintain, push settings and configuration, and save both the admins and end users so much time.

Cons

It would be an excellent addition to be able to manage remote endpoints.

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

We played around with psexec and some scripts casually but it was apparent that we needed a real solution that included inventory management to effectively manage our environment.

### "Deployment with ease."

June 25, 2021

5.0

It makes updating so much less time consuming and gives a proper overview about the installation states. Also using the integration with PDQ Inventory keeping software up to date that was installed later on manually on some machines also works. So if you for example installed an Adobe Reader manually that still can be updated by the software once it identified it. Update scheduling works like a charm.

Pros

Finally a product that does what it's supposed to do. And it's actually good at what it's doing. It is highly flexible. So if you just want to copy some files that works with this product as well as installations that do checks on dependencies. It has an own repository where already configured application installations exist. It can have schedules, it can deploy to one or more machines. You can group installations. It integrates nicely with PDQ inventory. What else to say than this is just great software for a reasonable price. It does what it is intended for and more.

Cons

I think there are no real cons worth mentioning. Just try and buy this software you will not regret.

### "Great, cost effective way to manage software, patch and vulnerability deployments"

December 14, 2022

4.0

Pros

Being able to have PDQ automatically scan and monitor our devices allows patches, new software and vulnerability fixes to be deployed in a set and forget method.

Cons

We've had some technical issues that have been hard to get support with as there is no support provided in our time zone, allowing only one question/response a day.

### "pdq"

December 14, 2022

5.0

Pros

scheduled releases and updates are super helpful for automating updates and patches.

Cons

More packages available would be great for our business, sometimes packages have to be manually imported - some detection or automation when importing a package would be great, e.g. selecting parameters by default such as no system reboot.

### "Great Product"

February 23, 2022

5.0

The one challenge that we were able to overcome was identifying our computers that had versions of Windows 10 that were no longer supported by Microsoft.

Pros

We really appreciate the ability to view Windows versioning. It help us identify the outdated computers so we could get them updated. It saved us countless hours.

Cons

I can't think of a con. The only con I can identify is, that we have to take time to learn some aspects of the functionality.

### "PDQ Deploy and Inventory"

December 21, 2022

5.0

Pros

We were looking for an asset management and inventory product. We initially assuming we required separate products until we found PDQ. We also really enjoyed the fact that PDQ does not have any agents that need to be installed on the endpoints.

Cons

We do wish that the asset inventory gave us a few more options. We currently do not have the option to add linux servers. Just having them on our inventory would make our reports a lot better.
