Pros Adobe Spark has been instrumental lately in the graphic design I've needed for my newer website. I've been designing a 90's style theme for an education business and have needed social media updates and designs as well as graphic elements to add to my website and advertising for my website. Adobe as always hits the mark with beautiful designs and templates, stock photos, and ideas that can be edited nicely as well. Cons The only con is that also like other Adobe products, there is a learning curve, although much less of one with this particular product than with what I've seen in Illustrator, for example. Pros I discovered this a few months ago, and immediately dropped several other paid apps in favor of this one. Scheduling across many social media platforms is the key for me. Cons Easier to use images I've already uploaded. I have multiple Facebook pages, but because FB and Instagram are linked, I can't upload to the correct Instagram account. Switched from [Canva](https://www.capterra.com/p/168956/Canva/) Man, just so much easier to assemble a post in Express versus Canva. I might still use Canva for fast PDF templates, but probably not. To my eye, it's easy to spot when an online personality uses Canva, as the styles are limited unless paying. I already pay for Creative Cloud, so Express is a bonus. Review Source Russell P. I use this to allow students to build simple videos that documents their work (i.e., a lab report with procedures) and create simple informational videos (i.e., biographies, research topics, etc.). Adobe Spark is also great to use for personal use (i.e., family videos of the weekend, photos from the past year, etc.). Love it! Pros I love Adobe Spark! Period. I know there's a graphics features, but I primarily use and love the video builder. It's a great video making tool for teachers, students, or even personal use. It's simple to use, all you have to do is drop in images and pictures, set a few features, and voila! You have an impressive video to document student projects, research topics, or even personal life events. I love that it's free, first off. I also enjoy that they have a good variety of customization and features - they have songs to use, format/transitions, and templates, and good background music to make it complete. You can also add voice over which is neat for students as they create products. I also like that it can be easily shared to Google Drive or downloaded. It is an easy-to-use content creation tool that helps learners demonstrate their digital skills by creating multimedia content, collaborating with peers, and sharing their work on social media or the platform they like. Pros Adobe Creative Cloud Express is easy to use and allows for creating the most needed content types like web pages, videos, and social media posts. It has a rich digital assets library and custom templates for every content type. Also, it has seamless integration with the world’s top cloud platforms The platform has AI features that suggest themes, color patterns, and pictures based on the design users are creating. Cons Not much. But it would be great if Adobe Creative Cloud Express for Education were available for free in more regions. They have professional templates right out of the box, but be aware that customizing templates can be a bit of a pain. The desktop app has much better functionality than the mobile app (on iPhone at least; I haven't tried Android). Pros Adobe Spark is easy to use if you have limited graphic design or advertising experience. They have professional quality templates and will make suggestions for color, font, etc., which is helpful for those looking for a quick, attractive design. It has some stock photos readily available for commercial use. Cons It can be difficult to customize designs, such as changing font spacing and alignment if you don't like the exact layout of the template you're using. The mobile version can also use some work. May 7, 2019 5.0 I love this product! So many options from text, colors and photos! It is GREAT! Pros Adobe Spark is by far my favorite product I use on a daily basis! It offers thousands of free photos, layouts and designs to make any email blast pop! I use Adobe spark to create eye popping photos for emails and linked in posts. It allows me to ease of creating various layouts that meet our branding style guide, but the freedom to have many more choices in pictures and text. They have added more features that keep it user friendly and quick for those projects that need to be completed TODAY. The templates are carried and give limitless possibilities for creating flyers, announcements, cards, posters, quick videos. Pros I have two favorite things about this software: 1) the integration with the adobe suite and 2). the templates for quick creating. Cons The cost of the entire Adobe suite is pricy but you can start with a free version of the Creative Cloud Express and that may meet your needs. I love what I do and once again, Adobe makes that process even sweeter. Pros I'll admit, as a graphic designer, I avoided Adobe Spark for a while. I mean, that's what I do...create social media graphics, videos and websites. So, I assumed that Adobe Spark was a shortcut for end users who had no experience. An awesome tool, but not for me...right? Actually, I ended up exploring it one day and found that it was an awesome shortcut for when I needed to put together a whole suite of graphics. It's nice to not have to keep my eye on the ever changing specs for each outlet. Super easy to use and there are so many options. Definitely glad I spent that afternoon trolling the Adobe Spark page. Cons My only complaint is that Adobe Spark doesn't allow you to delve deeper and change many settings. This very complaint is really what makes it such a wonderful tool for all users whether they are beginners or industry experts. So, while I may do much of my work in Photoshop and Illustrator, I can pop into Spark and take care of the output when I need to handle bulk output and layout for branding my clients. Complaint? Pros Adobe Spark is an easy to use design software that can be used on the go from a phone, tablet, etc. The remade and popular templates are a great go-to when custom design work is not needed or only small tweaks need to be made for video thumbnails, etc. Cons Nothing comes to mind that didn't meet my needs or would garner feedback. Reason for choosing Adobe Express Spark was chosen in conjunction with the entire Adobe Creative Suite as a more streamlined alternative to designing from scratch in Photoshop. Creative Director Broadcast Media Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "A traumatic experience with Adobe" January 31, 2024 5.0 Cons I had a traumatic experience with Adobe while I was trying to cancel my subscription. It felt like I was held prisoner. I went through the website and discovered there is no feature that allows users to cancel or pause subscription. So I then opted to go into the chat feature which surprisingly for a tech company, is very primitive and is still in learning mode. So I decided to request for a live chat with an actual person to get me out of my subscription. I went back and forth with three different assistants for most of my day, all three of them claiming to offer me deals that I knew were not deals. I was offered a free month service (which I knew I already had), but they would not address my request to cancel the subscription or even acknowledge it, it was an ordeal for me. When I start demanding for the cancellation and asking that they even email me to confirm the cancellation they suddenly disappear from chat (I can't make this up). By the time I got to the third chat assistant I eventually started threatening him telling him that I had screenshots of our conversation and that I demanded to be 'released from the bondage', he finally succumbed to the pressure. It was the most frustrating experience I have ever had to deal with. My reason for canceling my subscription was that I currently cannot afford to have the service, and the fact that I kept saying it but was ignored is insane! I initially just wanted to pause my subscription if possible, but the way I am so turned off by Adobe service I don't think I could ever get myself into this situation again! Pros Adobe Creative Cloud Express is a fundamental cloud platform for the entire Adobe ecosystem, it supplies ideas to each of the Adobe programs, it has a lot of templates that allow the user to stock up on references to do more creative work, the ease with The amount of editing these templates is amazing, which saves a lot of time. In addition, the platform has many additional text fonts, color palettes, and images for use in all Adobe programs. Creative Cloud is a great product that helps unify the entire Adobe experience. This has saved me valuable time. Especially when I need to create new relevant graphics when I update blog posts or as seasons and trends change. Pros This software is just so simple to use. Once you set up branding - your fonts, logos, brand colors, etc. It's so easy so create branded graphics; especially pinterest graphics with a photo and text overlay. Cons When I first began using this software I was unsure because it lacked some features that other programs I've used had. Such as being able to drag and drop shapes, frames etc. HOWEVER, after some time I was happy these features were gone . It simplified the graphic creating processing and saved me time. For graphics that needed more complex tools, I opened and edited the image in Adobe Photoshop but I only need those features maybe 5% of the time. February 29, 2020 5.0 My overall takeaway from Spark has been that it's a comprehensive and intuitive little niche of the internet. I've used it for things as simple as making memes for marketing, to creating logos and branding material for our business. If you need an all in one place to make your 1980's concepts look like a 2020's style that will sell, this is that platform. Pros Spark is easy to use, easy to navigate and has a super trimmed down and clean interface. It easily intigrates with other social media platforms by setting up your template from the beginning based on the size you're going to need. Looking to make a banner for your new e-commerce Facebook page? You just click on the template that says Facebook header and start creating. Diverse fonts and color arrangments, mean that you don't have to have years of graphic design under your belt to start making something that is cohesive and driving. Direct access to royalty-free stock sites that have been integrated such as Unsplash means that if you have an idea, likely there is a free image for you to use that will match, and spark has that all lined up too. Cons My only qualm so far is the lack of format outputs you're able to choose from. I'd love to have Spark allow graphics to be exported as PSD files in layers so that I can create my own jpeg, or do some more fun editing to each layer within Photoshop. Being an Adobe product this seems like it would have been a quick and easy add-on to an otherwise flawless design.
