It is suitable for both longform unstructured interviews or individually received shortform feedback with meta data. Quickly triaging and tagging qualitative research in this way is simpler easier in Dovetail than other tools I have used. I know they are a small and fairly new company so I'm sure there's lots more to come. Pros I love the general idea of having all feedback and insights in one organized environment. The ability to tag certain highlights and search for them easily is such a great way to identify patterns. Cons Unfortunately, there is no auto-tagging and so a lot of time is wasted manually going in having to search. This becomes a lot of work when you are dealing with many surveys or long interviews. Cons There wasn't a way to really customize my payouts. I wanted my affiliates to be paid a % of the net profits, as opposed to the total order and there was no way to really customize how I wanted my affiliates paid. Overall, the dashboard was nice and the app has potential, but it just really didn't work for my needs. Reduces time on the communication which will be used to better help the company. Pros Increases employee engagement. Provides employees with a consumer friendly employee portal experience. HR remains in complete control with the ability to make changes on your own time. Cons More so unwillingness of employees to change from what they found normal and to learn new system.
