allowed us to streamline our enrolment and tuition payment processes. We are moving away from handling post-dated cheques to online direct payments. This is both a better user experience for our parents as well as saving time and generating efficiencies in the administration. It really is a Win Win!

Pros

What I like most about is that it is built from the ground up as a payment software, instead of an added-on after thought. The system is intuitive and simple to navigate while being powerful on the backend to support our needs. Our parents have had nothing but good things to say about how much they like the system.

Cons

There are a few features which would be nice to have such as the ability to modify the payment amounts once an invoice has been issued; however, has been very responsive to suggestions and is continually publishing new features/functionality.

Overall is a great application for schools and Daycares. Customer service is also outstanding. It has made taking payments very easy. Apart from that it has everything that you need for managing a school. Highly recommended.

Pros

is great application for Registrations & Payments. Not only its great for administration but also for the parents. Its secure and user-friendly. It saves a lot of time and is great for management.

Cons

If you have multiple campuses it doesn't duplicate the information from one to another. It would be more efficient if it can do that.

### "Not intuitive or easy to adjust for our needs"

Not thrilled. The system meets our needs to a degree but has needed a lot of attention from our administrator to overcome the shortcomings. Some features that are integral to the function of a school are not offered at all with at this time.

Pros

Direct and immediate deposit of funds. Options for payment for our customers.

Cons

Editing and changing things that have been entered is not possible. We have to redo everything. The system only allows us to connect the account to one email address when a number of our clients have 2 emails associated with their account. This is ridiculous. For students with divorced parents it makes ZERO sense. We have had a lot of time and energy spent on making this program work for us, and we are frustrated with the experience overall. If someone wants to adjust a payment method they have to redo the entire enrollment document.

You can edit invoices, payment plans, and forms at any time for instant changes, individually or in bulk. For students with divorced parents who are paying separately they can have their invoices split up on separate accounts so each parent can manage their own payments independently, without having access to the other parent's account and information. Payment methods and enrollment documents are separate items in TUIO. A payment method change would not impact the enrollment document, and vice versa. Parents can change their payment method at any time, and likewise they can easily resubmit an enrollment document with updates, since the system pre-populates their previous responses. Pros

The way registration forms and permission forms can be integrated with payments, so everything is done in one place at the same time. Also, the customer service is fast and excellent.

Really nothing! It is easy to use and offers a lot of integrations.

My experience with so far is great. It really made our work easier.

Pros

The best thing about is it makes the billing, registration and enrollment easier to opeate and understand. It keeps our bookkeeping effortless. Also, the customer service is great as they are just one email away and always ready to solve things for user.

Cons

The part which I like least about is in different devices it looks differently which makes user confused however, with TUIO customer service it get fixed quickly.

Amazing it does exactly what we intended it to do and is not as expensive as other similar products in the market.

Pros

Being able to automatically charge parents every month has been a killer feature for me and saved a bunch of time.

Cons

That I cannot send customized reminders for missed payments. E.g. when parent misses a payment after 30 days they receive a message, and after 60 another message.

Overall it has provided a fast, easy way to organize and charge for our enrolments in various programs.

Pros

As enrolment and payment processing software it's very user friendly and when needed, the customer service is fast and helpful. It is easy to manage and change invoices and refund full or partial invoices. The way registrations are set up is flexible with multiple options.

Cons

As an SIS it is not fully developed. There are issues with enrolments in different programs causing duplicate students. Each enrolment is linked only to the parent who pays the invoice.

Blackbaud didn't provide payment processing built in (in Canada), was not as user friendly on the back end, and was far more expensive. We didn't use it to the fullest of its capacity and just needed a simpler solution.

My overall experience was positive. Even though I feel like I have been moving into the software a little blind, so far, we have not encountered any issues.

Pros

So far the setup and implementation process has been straightforward forward and the support team has been excellent in helping us launch our re-enrollment for the school.

Cons

I would like to see more tutorials and videos about the software to give users an idea of its function as well as guides to help implementation. From a new user perspective, I often feel like I am trying out forms and programs blind and hoping they would work instead of being confident in the launch of a program. I wish there was a way to create a dummy trial of programs that will allow admins to run through all the steps just to experience what customer will see. If this option was available, I was not able to find it.

You'll have a test parent account that you can use to experience what they see. We also have a parent welcome video on YouTube. This first half of 2022, we are undertaking a project to revamp our support site with video content, so stay tuned!

The support staff at is amazing, they are quick and very helpful.

Cons

The only 2 thing that I would like to see developed is to have a conversation to happen if a stop payment occurs before it happens. Sometimes the student is still enrolled in the program and they do a stop payment and that results in a charge. but if a conversation could occur before that would be better. The second thing that i would highly suggest to be improved is how withdrawals show up on parent's statements. since it is a series of numbers some people don't recognize what the payment is for.

Our schools (Saturday mornings only, aligns with the K-12 school year) are mainly run by volunteers (myself included) so we do not have much time or resource to spend on school software. During the recent pandemic, our 5 schools (15+ years each) suddenly could not run classes out of the local secondary schools and we needed a solution for online registration and payments to accommodate the new Zoom classes we started offering. 's entire package of Enrollment Management, Student Information System, and Payments was especially appealing because we never had to accept credit or debit cards. TUIO Support is friendly and responsive, and we have seen several of our own feedback be added as enhancements to the product.

Pros

The intuitive design and overall flexibility to configure to meet our needs.

Cons

The accounting export requires more massaging of spreadsheet output, and the difference in time zones also made it more confusing for some of our less tech savvy users.

Reason for choosing TUIO

Before we found out about , we were thinking to build a custom solution by shopping for a payment processor. There was also a consultant that was offering to customize a solution on Zoho for a significant upfront fee, on top of the regular operating expenses for Zoho seat licenses. We ended up not pursuing the custom options because they likely would've costed us more in time and money, both upfront as well as ongoing maintenance.

Quick set up with great customer service. All questions submitted to the support team are answered quickly.

Some parents have trouble using . The credit card fees are high however parents still like having that option and the automatic payments make things a lot easier.

Reason for choosing TUIO

Our main reason for picking was that is was located in Canada. Also the set up pricing was cheaper than others.

So we took care of that for the most part. We are going to add a combined student/parent export as well going live this week! Pros

Nothing. This product was useless for my child care facility and day home agency.

Cons

This program is useless for my business and the features they promised (that could actually help with my admin tasks) were actually not available. I can't use it and I tried to cancel before I even rolled it out to my parents; I still have to pay for the full 3 years. They did nothing except a one hour session to tell me how to do the things I was told they would do.

We are available anytime to help you post-onboarding, including unlimited training and support when needed. We have several daycares in Alberta using TUIO to great success so I'm not sure where the notion you can't use us for billing is coming from. You had been contacted by the billing department to explain the ramifications of cancelling the contract early. I've contacted you personally to discuss things and hope we can resolve this to where you are a long term client enjoying TUIO.

We are happy we have moved from a manual system to it saves us time

helps save time and it has helped us streamline our payments management

Cons

We are unable to process credit cards if a parent is at the center and wants to make a payment. The system has not been updated to add our EIN number to the invoices which is necessary for tax credits for parents. Also when we enter student details only generates invoice with one parent name so if the other parent wants to get a FSA credit from work they are unable to do so and we have to give them a manual invoice. Group messaging is not possible yet

Thanks for the review Samantha. One thing you could do is to edit an invoice to tack on the fee again to avoid being out of pocket the fees if a payment is returned. Once the payment has processed online, the processing fees are taken out by the payment processor.

Absolutely loving our experience wiht . It was the best thing we did to switch over our billign and admissions. The team at TUIO is so kind and supportive.

Pros

The software has made billing, admissions and operations so much more streamlined and manageable.

Cons

There aren't really any cons. At the moment we are waiting on to implement assigning forms to one child at a time.

I have been pleased with and would recommend it to schools who are looking for an online Tuition management system.

Pros

We are a very small school that can't afford much extra but has been affordable for us and also very useful in managing our tuition payments. I no longer have to deal with checks or cash payment but there is a place to take care of that if it happens.

Cons

It can be a little overwhelming as one is onboarding but the team is great to answer questions. There are still things I don't quite know how to do such as run reports but it doesn't keep me from using .
