Pros

Reliable information and easy to use. The company is always willing to provide assistance. The reports are also easy to pull.

Cons

On a few rare occasions, contacts have been out of date or companies have been too small to be able to provide insight.

it was great and is a good example that sometimes you don't know how good you have it until it is gone.

Pros

Media Radar was a great service for the publishing industry. My company had Media Radar but switched to another service and it has confirmed how well Media Radar works.

Cons

I beleive that Media Radar is rather expensvie and that is why our company switched services but i now hope that they fell like it is a better value and will switched back.

Pros

It gives me accurate and comprehensive informations for the agencies and the brands that I needed to reach out. The Information is very detailed especially the Contact's name, email address etc. Would definitely use it on the long run.

Cons

There were times when the categories are little messy. Wish that they'll improve it further because it took some time to comfigure it one by one.

Pros

The software offers a ton of tools for every element of a brand, comparison and edit. I like the ability to see separate print and digital, as well as their advertising as a whole.

Cons

The program is extremely slow to load. The website takes a very long time to run any search. Often times I am trying to run a few different searches quickly and the program can't function with quick changes.

I am a big fan of MediaRadar for the information it provides. Much more targeted than DiscoverOrg.

Pros

MediaRadar does a great job of looking for relevant contacts and providing a wealth of information on the advertisers included, such as online creative and where it's running. The search function is very easy.

Cons

MR contains contact info for the top 26k advertisers and for smaller e-comm sites (e.g. the top 200 Shopify sites), very little information. No Salesforce link like DiscoverOrg.

Great for lead generation!

Pros

Its like going to the newsstand and seeing every competitive magazine all at one time. It easy to look at not only potential lead opportunities but also other places cour current advertisers are spending.

Cons

I wish the digital/social media package was more robust. We have looked at this module a few times but it doesn't seem to be accurate enough for our use.

We do not pay for a lot on Media Radar. I believe just the bare minimum. But I can find contact information on my clients and their respective agencies, which is really helpful

Again, we do not pay for a lot on Media Radar. I believe just the bare minimum. I think that's why I am unable to find contact information on Smaller companies .

Cons

I like the insight into the companies I am seeking to do business with, and there is excellent support, during initial set up, and on an ongoing basis for any needs, I may have.

Cons

I do not know all there is to do with it yet and in an effort to fully maximize my usage, I would like video tutorials for continual training.

quick data gathering for client meetings and executive visits. Good for top-level research.

Pros

Easy to navigate and lots of resources. I like that it is separated out by brand. I also like the design.

Cons

loads slowly and includes irrelevant information. If I am searching a specific magazine of mine (ex GQ) and looking for ads that ran in it from Levi's I don't want to see all of the competitor ads. Would be nice to have a filter just to view pertinent ads.

I like how it's convenient and allows you to find information about other companies as well as contact information and previous ads that they ran.

Cons

It's slightly on the inconvenient side, especially when dealing with smaller companies. I find myself looking up contact information and the data is sometimes out dated.

It's great in theory but for us to use it the way want to, the spend and ad tracking would need to be more accurate.

Pros

I think it's great that you can customize brand lists and segments based on our business needs and you can see the exact creative that ran/is currently running across the board.

Cons

There are a lot of ads that are not getting tracked correctly under the right brands, or even the right companies. The spend for the different ROS ads also seem inaccurate based on what we know about the vendors and their rates. It would be nice if they could more accurately give a baseline cost for the ads, as well as, including email and enewsletter advertising in the report information so we can see digital spend more holistically versus just programmatic and ROS.

Cons

Occasionally, the concierge service is unable to locate marketing contacts and the response time is longer than desired.

The contact database is especially useful. Also like tear sheets and ability to email. Keeps the customers honest and aware we pay attention. Competitive set feature is a great tool.

Cons

Share of market data and tear sheet examples of campaigns can be dated. Miss the webinars that Media Radar used to do regularly on new features. Where did they go?

Pros

Ease of use. Space to input company or corporate name is plentiful. Often returns many iterations of company being sought after.

Cons

That there are many companies that are not covered by MR. Some of the companies, while not being Fortune 500 companies are large enough in my opinion to be followed by MR.

Ability to gauge competitive advertising activity.

Pros

The ability to understand overall advertising activity across our competitive set, see the creative that is running, email tearsheets to sales reps.

Cons

Inability to separate commercial construction leads / top prospects from residential construction leads; cannot see entire magazine / flipbook, just ad pages; miscategorized ads / missing ads; site is difficult to navigate.
