Our use case is somewhat atypical, so many of the project and template buildouts have needed significant adaptation. The Nifty team has always been extremely supportive, responsive, and clear. We have identified many bugs and gaps over the years as we've grown with Nifty, and they've always resolved them quickly, or given us workarounds if they aren't prioritizing that fix at the moment. Pros I have a complex organizational structure with 300 employees, many volunteers and contractors, and over 65 departments, all of which need privacy between and among portfolios, but easy transfer of tasks and files between projects and portfolios. When selecting Nifty in 2020, we found that it was the only project management software that met all of our security and privacy needs. Because of this, I'm able for the first time to get a big picture of the activity and progress of all of my teams. Cons The learning curve, particularly for less tech savvy employees, has been quite high, and at times prohibitive for adoption. Adoption for stragglers has therefore taken 5+ years. However, those who do adopt it use it really consistently, and I'm able to manage those projects with essentially full visibility. And I can even embed other tools to further extend what it can do. Cons One thing I \*don't\* like is that I can only have one tab of a project open at at time - for example, if I need to get info from a Doc, I have to click over to Docs, but then to update a Todo, I have to leave the Doc and open the Todos. The free version allows you to do plenty of tasks before you decide to buy, which is a good feature of this application. Pros Nifty helped me organize a construction project that I worked on and helped me visualize the main milestone and tasks associated with it. During my experience, I used most of the tools in the free version, which was complete. The paid versions allow you to add more features to complement your management. Cons At the time I used it, I found it hard to have a macro view of all the tasks, meaning I had to make some tricks in order to get what I wanted, and also had to check some extra videos for that. I used Google Authenticator as the MFA app. When I changed the iPhone from iPhone 12 to iPhone 13 ProMax, the data was transferred from iPhone 12 to iPhone 13 ProMax successfully. Unfortunately, the data in the Google Authenticator, which includes the NiftyPM credential, cannot be recovered. Therefore, I ask Nifty for help. Your Nifty staff immediately caught my problems and report to engineers to see if the MFA can be reset. Well, although the waiting time is long, the problem finally got solved happily. Pros Nifty is one of the most sophisticated platforms which can be used for group collaboration. Online essential activities of projects can be effectively delivered, monitored, and control in Nifty. Nifty's progress bar is fantastic. The project members would be able to communicate instantly. The UX and UI designs of the platform are incredibly amazing. When any users faced any difficulties, the Nifty team always offered the communication channel for us so as to reach Nifty staff for any quick help. Cons Nifty has done an excellent job in developing the software tools. Not much thing to complaint here. What I dislike is that there is not online tutorials or documentations (even no user manual). With the manual, it helped the efficiency of the delivering the projects. I have to spend time and effort to learn how the Nifty works. I have a group of undergraduates and postgraduates who would like to try Nifty. Any training materials, or video samples (not the youtube), can be sold or gave to the Nifty Fan like myself. We'll keep using this as it's very flexible to manage all kinds of projects. Cons Sometimes, some integrations break (for e.g. JIRA). However, the team has been proactive, and they fix it in a few days. One more con is sub-tasks need more options. And my final gripe is lack of integrations, it needs to talk with a lot of other services FULLY. For e.g. even though they say they have an integration with Slack, there's no way to customize what updates I get in Slack (I want updates when a task is marked as DONE for example, that's not possible). And since the product greatly evolved in the past, I guess it will be more and more an important player in the PM cloud apps. I still don't know why Nifty is ignored in most of the PM software list on the internet. It is more complete and thorough than most of the software on the list without the cost. Pros I really like this product for his integration of multiple tools, allowing us to work directly in the project. The UX and UI is excellent, they are also implementing new stuff regularly and the guest access is very generous compared to similar tools.
