### "I love Docketwise"

October 20, 2025

5.0

At the old law firm I worked for they introduced me to Docketwise. Once I came into my new job I recommended them because I appreciated the efficiency.

Pros

I like that I can send forms to clients to prefill. I like that I am able to go in and make changes. I love that I am able to leave notes to come back to and remind me what I was working on.

Cons

I feel like they can improve by making a texting app within the Docketwise application. This will make it a 10/10 for me.

### "Give Docketwise a Try"

October 21, 2025

5.0

It's been great so far and the customer service is excellent. I use Docketwise every day to manage my firm and streamline client intakes.

Pros

Docketwise is full of features for maximizing the attorney and client experience. It is very easy to prepare a case from start to finish using Docketwise. Some software has additional features that take a long time to learn. Docketwise has a short learning curve and is essential for an immigration practitioner. They constantly update their forms and even have questionnaires available in other languages. It is a great value proposition.

Cons

I wish there were an option to do custom intakes in other languages. I understand that you can obtain standard intakes in other languages for all of the immigration forms, which is really helpful for our non English speaking clients.

Reason for choosing Docketwise

The cost effectiveness and ease of use. It was very intuitive and a one stop shop for all of my case management needs.

### "My friendly immigration platform"

May 25, 2025

5.0

Very good immigration tool I don't think that I would change to another website at this point. It also has a very responsive customer service when you need.

Pros

The most useful tool to keep on track of my clients' cases. It helps me and my team to organize all and be on top of our priorities.

Cons

Sometimes when it comes to a USCIS new edition form because when you print the form still may show the old edition but online it keeps the new one, which can be confusing but this only happens few times to me.

### "Horrible company"

January 7, 2026

1.0

Horrible. The sales process was unprofessional and they misled me into buying two licenses when we only needed one. They auto renewed my account without any warning on Christmas Eve and while their customer service office was closed. When I was finally able to get someone on the phone, they refused a refund because the payment had already been processed.

Pros

Nothing. I will never do business with this company again. The software barely functions and doesn’t integrate with Clio as advertised.

Cons

Customer service is horrible and billing practices are misleading. Way too expensive for a glorified pdf form filler.

### "Why arent you using Docketwise"

May 16, 2025

5.0

Great. Easy to use, helpful customer support and makes my life easier as a solo practitioner.

Pros

I love Docketwise. Its easy to use and it has a lot of features. The customer service people are amazing and they teach you for free. I had a difficult and expensive time with FileVine and Docketwise is so much better than any other system I have used for my immigration cases.

Cons

I wish it had a translate button and I wish there was a better reminder system. The templates require work but its still very helpful to have.

### "Wonderful! become quicker and more accurate when filling your highly important applications."

September 19, 2024

5.0

Easy to follow through, it has different ways to add information, directly on the contact information, when filling out the form and by linking the contact information directly from Clio database. It's also great to have the translation option for non-English spesking clients.

Pros

Intuitive step by step completion of information.

Cons

The address history fields could be more specific for each form, it could specify the years it needs depending on the application on the title of address history, same as Employment history. When the client has access to fill out a piece of information they can't add the date or change the street's name sometimes.

### "Great immigration forms, weak practice management"

May 1, 2024

4.0

The parts of the software that work work well, so the parts that don't work are frustrating. I'll give it awhile to see if any of the issues get fixed.

Pros

The user interface is very intuitive. I was able figure out how to use most of the features with only a brief sales demo. (My follow-up session with a "Customer Success Manager" consisted mainly of him confirming that it was not possible to do various other things that I wanted to use the software for.) My clients have also found it easy to interact with the immigration forms that I have shared with them, which was the primary reason I switched to Docketwise. I am very disappointed, however, by long wait for e-filing for the new USCIS naturalization form. The new form came out a month ago and it is still not available in Docketwise. I do a lot of naturalization applications, and manually transferring data collected from clients in Docketwise to the application in the USCIS portal is a big hassle.

Cons

The invoicing functions are surprisingly weak given that Docketwise is owned by LawPay, a legal payment service. My previous law practice management software allowed me to generate--with a single click of a button--draft invoices for all clients who had billable time or expenses. This made billing at the end of the month very convenient. All I had to do was review and approve the drafts. With Docketwise, it is not even possible to track billable expenses unless you create an invoice and manually add them to it. For time, you have to run a report to find which clients have billable time and then manually create an invoice for each one (and remembering to not create a second invoice for a client for whom you created an invoice early to track expenses throughout the month). The inability to send an invoice to two or more contacts at the same time and to save a custom hourly rate for each client should also be fixed.

### "Great interface combined with high functionality"

December 15, 2019

5.0

Docketwise is the fourth immigration software I've used in my career. None come close. It's everything I'd wished for in an immigration forms software. Law offices would be well-served to at least give it a try. I've already enthusiastically recommended Docketwise to several colleagues.

Pros

The first word that came to mind, minutes into my first demo of Docketwise, was “beautiful.” Anyone who has ever used immigration forms programs will agree that they tend to have dated, clunky, visually uninviting interfaces. Docketwise has been a breath of fresh air. The intuitive user interface flows seamlessly from page to page. The next thought that came to mind during my demo was whether Docketwise’s \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\], who was showing me the software, was an immigration attorney (he is). Not only was he knowledgeable about immigration law but the software was clearly built by an immigration attorney. One cannot overstate the importance of using software designed by an immigration attorney for immigration attorneys. Docketwise also has excellent customer support. I’ve called \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] several times with questions, which he has promptly answered. Docketwise is also receptive to customer feedback and continuously introduces exciting new features. Most recently, it added both an invoice feature, which syncs with LawPay, as well as a customized intake feature. I’d long awaited a customized intake feature in immigration software to ask clients for data that doesn’t exist on the forms, for example their source of referral. Most programs don’t offer this feature. Those that do, charge a cost-prohibitive fee. While Docketwise syncs with other case management programs, they’re not strictly necessary; after these new features were introduced Docketwise is now my all-on-one case

Cons

I can't think of any downsides for Docketwise at the moment. If any come to mind later, I'm confident Docketwise's team will address them.

### "Easy to use and friendly support staff"

April 5, 2022

4.0

My law practice has become much easier with the use of Docketwise since switching from LawLogix, which I had used for around 10 years. I find the Docketwise support team friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I am so happy that I decided to make the switch!

Pros

Ease of use, no extra charge for creating additional user profiles, and good customer support.

Cons

Data migration was a bit of mess with integration issues, and tech support didn't always seem to know how to deal with them.

Reason for choosing Docketwise

After reviewing some other available products out on the market, Docketwise seemed to be the most user-friendly with ample customer support.

### "Attorney at Law/ Owner "

July 6, 2023

5.0

Pros

Docketwise is easy to use and updates Immigration Forms on time. In addition new features that make work easier are added to the service. The client questionnaire in multiple languages, actively engages clients and eases the time spend preparing forms.

Cons

You have to get use to filling out a questionnaire style, when I was used to filling out the forms directly. Docketwise, could use more "synch" fields on the forms.

Reason for choosing Docketwise

We reviewed several Youtube videos prior to starting the service. And the integrations with other software services, was the reason for choosing Docketwise.

### "Updated Review"

April 10, 2019

5.0

Although my previous review listed several issues with the forms, the only issue that I still have with the platform is the autosave feature and no undo button. Other than this, I think that the program is overall effective and really helps differentiate my practice with other firms. When clients use Docketwise to enter in their information, it allows our office to use our time for more important things.

Pros

1\. You can send the questionnaire over to the client. The client only has to answer the question once and the information goes across to the other forms. 2. The client makes an account and they can edit the immigration forms. Most of my clients really like this feature and it makes my business more efficient. 3. The platform has changed since I started using it about a year ago. They have more options now. 4. What I like most is the fact that I no longer have to worry about using the current edition date of the various USCIS forms. Docketwise updates the documents regularly and the information that was inputted into the old form is moved over to the new form. 5. There is a direct contact person so if you have issues you can contact them.

Cons

1\. There seems to be occasional bugs. Sometimes when you send the issue over to the developers they can't replicate the issue.

### "Disappointed"

November 17, 2023

5.0

Disappointing is the best way to describe it.

Pros

Docketwise allows notarios and paralegals to purchases licenses, encouraging the unauthorized practice of law and the predatory behaviors that come with it. It's so disappointing. The customer service is terrible, which is so unfortunate. The software itself is great. I would process ALL of my billing through docketwise if I didn't have moral objections to the company's practices. But there is no easy way to download all client data, so I've been stuck in a month to month subscription for three months. The recent "DEFINITELY NOT A DATA BREACH" incident was just the law straw. Client data was sent out to individuals that have absolutely NO BUSINESS receiving attorney-client priveleged information under the best of circumstances. Throw in their eagerness to make money by all means, including allowing non-lawyers to use their software to pretend to be lawyers, and it's a wrap on our relationship.

Cons

I put it all in the Pros. No need to split them up.

Pros

Docketwise is a plug and play, easy to use, very well thought out product. The customer service is excellent. The product has grown over the years to innovate and add features that make my life as an incredibly busy immigration lawyer a lot easier than it was before I started using Docketwise.

Excellent support staff, very fast to address questions, and they have a great video training library.

Pros

The beauty of working with the questionnaire to the finished pdf form- is fast, clear, and most of the time accurate.

Cons

Weird address glitches when going back to a questionnaire already completed, sometimes the street portion is gone. We have had this issue for a while with no reason as to why and no solution other than manual re-entry.

### "Great program for managing immigration cases."

February 21, 2024

5.0

If you spend the time understanding how it works it becomes indispensable.

Pros

Comprehensive and effective creation of immigration forms and management cases. That I can use it anywhere whether it is on a pc or mac is also very helpful. Also, the speed in response to questions that I have made to their techs is outstanding.

Cons

It would be helpful if you could label matters and contacts as cases. I am not there yet but I will probably come around and appreciate the utility of the present setup.

### "You can't afford NOT to use DW"

May 21, 2019

5.0

Without a doubt we are saving time and resources with DW. I enjoy the ease of use and have had the pleasure of talking with customer service when I have questions as they are very responsive (a chat feature might be handy). To reiterate though - if you aren't using some kind of software for immigration forms, this is a no brainer. And, if you aren't using DW, in my opinion, this product is superior!

Pros

Once you get used to it, it's very intuitive. The amount of time it saves covers any subscription cost. Additionally, by having the client involved in the process and responding directly cuts down on form information errors. The software saves quickly with little down time between screens (which is huge compared to other's I have used).

Cons

There is nothing NOT to like. As with any program such as this, the user can always think of ways to make it even better (e.g. would be great to have some way of knowing what information is INCOMPLETE as the client is working on it). I would also prefer that the dashboard defaults to the matter tab vs. forms, but that's just me! Also, could see some logical improvements to the addendum pages :)

The training and tech support is unparalleled. We have been deeply satisfied with Docketwise, as it has significantly enhanced our efficiency in serving our clients. Thanks Docketwise!

Pros

Cons

Initially, it wasn't as intuitive and user-friendly, but the technical support, training, and updates have more than made up for the initial struggles.
