We've been using Cypher Learning for many years. Our students can easily navigate their courses, track their completed courses and their parents can view their progress at any time. Pros I like the design flexibility to create learning content and course modules. I also like the messaging and chat features. Cons The mobile app is not the best and can use some upgrades. Pros It's great for school use as long as instructors know how to use it. It's got all of the basic functions and great dynamic user access capabilities. Cons Configuration items are very non intuitive - it takes so long to figure out at what level do I need to visit the configurations to make changes to a course. March 11, 2022 5.0 It is the only platform on which I found all the functionalities I need as a trainer. From the beginning it seems a bit complicated to understand the whole architecture of the portal, later it was easy for me to build interactive, adaptive and personalized courses. Pros 1\. Diversity of training solutions that can be used. 2. The portal has only fallen once in 9 years of daily use. 3. Integration of dozens of ad-ons that really help the training process Cons 1\. The fact that it does not integrate a SCORM export solution. 2. Extremely slow, limited customer service. They offer only laconic answers and are not focused on solving the problems faced by the administrator. Sometimes the distance between answers is 5-7 hours, even if they are in the US time zone. This is extremely frustrating. 3. Participants must pay monthly to access the platform, even after completing the course. At the beginning, the participants could check their account and diplomas without paying and only paid if they entered the course. Now they have no access to anything unless they pay. When they are marked red, they are not included in the text after you hit the save button. I would also like to have more than one possibility for payments. I would like credit card, Paypal, Alipay and other options in order to accommodate every client. Professor Education Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Blended Learning Made Easy" December 1, 2018 5.0 My system of teaching the lessons and assessing the students changed when our institution adapted NEO LMS. Before, I am always worried of the suspension of classes and its effect to the flow of the lesson to be delivered but having NEO with me it eliminated the fear of not meeting my class in a face-to-face set up. NEO brings me closer to my students whether we go synchronous or asynchronous. Pros NEO LMS is very easy navigate. Lessons can easily be done even without the users guide or manual. I really like the customer support because of its efficient and quick response. In terms of grading assessments, I find it easy with the use of its Rubric feature. Before, I used to have a lot of papers to bring whenever I go but with NEO LMS, I just need to pull out my tablet to check the submissions of my students. Lastly, my students are more engaged and they enjoy more because of the gamification feature which other LMS don’t have. Cons I cannot think of any cons about NEO LMS. Its the perfect LMS for me. I have tested and tried other LMS which are complicated to use. But with NEO, everything is easy. If there is one thing that needs improvement, it would be the mobile app specifically for android devices. Pros As an educator, the best feature of NEO LMS that I have really utilized is its assignment management. Pros It's our one stop shop for managing training, whether it's online or in a classroom. Before using Matrix we spent a lot of time managing classroom training. Users can self enrol, we can manage waitlists and assessments can be uploaded for marking, providing an excellent audit trail. We can also manage multiple brands within the one portal, which is both a cost saving and saves on administration effort. Cons There was a hefty price rise about 2 years after we started using it. It's still reasonable value for money, but it left us in an awkward position if we didn't get approval for the extra funds, as we would have had to move learning portals again, which is a big effort. However, they did ease us into the change and we appreciate that enormously. NEO LMS is easy to navigate because of its social media-like interface. Cons Although competency tracking is available, there is currently no way to export reports on competencies. As a network of schools, it is vital to have such. A built in item analysis for quizzes would also be beneficial to us. The portal allows me to easily create organisations, classes, lessons, modules and students and combine them all to create structured learning that is easy to track, easy to report on and all for an affordable monthly cost. The support forum is a great place to raise any issues and there's always someone available to answer any questions I have. It's not perfect and is still improving each month, but it allows me to do my job more efficiently and does a lot of heavy lifting that I would otherwise have to do with spreadsheets and time that I don't have.
