Overall, my experience has been positive. As an engineer, I appreciate that the core APIs are dependable and enable meaningful automation. While there’s still room for improvement in extension-level API completeness, the foundation is strong and works well for building integrations around HR and payroll workflows.

Pros

From an engineering perspective, the core APIs are solid and well-structured. They’re reliable, fairly intuitive to work with, and make it possible to integrate into internal systems without too much friction. Webhooks and core data access (employee, payroll, etc.) are especially useful. For a platform that spans HR, payroll, and IT, the API coverage is strong where it matters most.

Cons

Some of the APIs for extensions and marketplace apps aren’t as fully featured or consistent as the core APIs. There are cases where functionality exists in the UI but isn’t exposed cleanly via API, which can limit automation. Documentation could also be more detailed in certain areas, especially for edge cases.

Pros

Pros

Everything is in one place. Very friendly to use. I love how the SSO, finance, benefits, everything is tight together. No bugs or issues.

Cons

Sometimes SSO doesn't work but usually if I click twice it does. Some features can feel overly simplified for power users. Customer support response time could be improved during peak hours. Initial setup can be a bit complex without proper guidance.

Pros

I value the variety of solutions offered all on one platform. They truly have every solution for onboarding, off boarding, IT, Payroll, Performance and more.

Cons

could offer certain products on the platform to companies at a discounted rate who have less than 5 employees. They have great apps and options but every person is an additional cost. I believe more companies would start with Rippling if the other apps were part of the incentive for free with less than 5 employees.

Overall, it's been acceptable. We haven't used it for very long (a year and a half). Further training on how to utilize all aspects would be helpful.

Pros

The HR and time keeping features are excellent and easy. Also, payroll is easy to navigate and beneficial. I use the time keeping and PTO features daily as Executive Chief of Staff.

Cons

Sometimes it's difficult finding features. Where you would think the feature is, it isn't and is deeper within another feature. Perhaps a better search engine would be helpful.

The impossibility of editing my hours by myself when I forget to clock in/out. Instead I have to request my boss.

It easy to withdraw the money and also if any problem happens the support team is really fast to solve your problem,I think is also nice that our mangers can communicate with the whole team just by posting on the app too

It has been easy to use and easy to navigate the site. Clocking in is very easy and simple with one click. Managing my time off with the day selection and time is super simple as well. Pay stubs are easy to access and view the history of as well.

Pros

I appreciate the Ease of use and the way it manages payroll and time management. Including putting in for PTO or Sick Leave

Cons

I would say the only issue I have had with the product is trying to punch in and out for lunch. I do not see a selection to do so, so I have to clock in and out of work manually right now.

Has been a great experience with in a supervisor role. The overview of the team and scheduling is superb.

Pros

From a user standpoint, works well because everything feels connected. Managing payroll, benefits, onboarding, devices, and apps all happens in one place, so you’re not jumping between systems. The interface is clean, tasks are automated, and integrations with tools like time tracking, accounting, and HR software run smoothly, making everyday admin feel quick and painless.

Cons

One thing I dislike about is how many clicks it takes to get to certain sections. The navigation isn’t always intuitive, so simple tasks can feel unnecessarily time-consuming. Instead of a direct path, you often have to jump through multiple menus or tabs, which slows down the workflow and makes the platform feel less efficient than it should be.

It has been great except for the time keeping delays! I can easily put in a time off request, search contact information for a coworker, check my benefits, or examine a paystub.

Pros

I love the ease of use and attractive interface of ! It has very helpful functions like an accurate PTO count, time off requests, and employee directory. I can see my paystub in great detail- plus it sends me payday reminders!

Cons

Sometimes there is a delay in clocking in and out- however that could be attributed to the weak Wi-Fi in my work building. I also wish we could add expenses in the app, but that might be a feature that my company hasn't added!

### "If a product can't handle the basics, don't trust your payroll to it!"

Awful, I would not recommend this to any company of any size, unless you enjoy products that don't work.

Pros

Unfortunately, we can't find any nice things to say about the product or the experience of trying to get it to work.

Cons

1\. They make a good sales pitch, but we knew more about the product and software than our US onboarding person did. 2. The product has a very confusing UI and navigation flow. Functionality feels patched on and the whole system is super buggy. Things sometimes work and sometimes don't. Not what one wants from a payroll provider. 3. "Help" consisted of guidance to help documents or "go here and click this". 4. We were promised that their data team would help migrate payroll data from Gusto to their system, but we ended up having to do it ourselves. 5. Connecting and verifying bank accounts took multiple, repeated attempts and many weeks before we could achieve it. We kept hearing "let me check with our engineering team and get back to you". After FOUR attempts it maybe worked. 6. claimed they excelled at global payroll, but it felt like they had never dealt with a multiple entity / multiple country setup before. Just getting the basics done (like bank verification) was way more time consuming than it should be. Even when it "worked", the verification micro deposits were not removed correctly. Overall, we spent almost 3 months trying to get set up and then bailed before we ran any payroll. I'm glad we did NOT run payroll as we would have been really stuck. I have no confidence that the product would function correctly or process payroll accurately.

Pros

I like how easy it is to access my time clock and ask for PTO. I also like that it's very interactive while being easy to navigate.

Cons

That I have to be within a radius that only updates with WIFI. So I sometimes have to be in certain rooms to use it while at work.

Just the worst. I would never recommend it - especially for companies based in Canada. They claim to understand the payroll here, it couldn't be furthest from the truth.

Pros

The one positive: their ATS works well — clean interface, easy to use, and it made recruiting easier. But let’s be honest — you don’t choose an HRIS for the ATS alone.

Cons

I really wanted to like , but after over a year of using it, I can confidently say it caused more headaches than it solved. On paper, it sounds like a dream: one platform to manage everything HR and IT. In practice? Constant bugs, poor customer support, and features that almost work — but not quite. We ran into frequent sync issues with payroll, benefits setup that never quite worked right, and random glitches that made it impossible to trust the system without double-checking everything manually. It felt like we were paying for a beta version. The worst that happened was around payroll: they were never able to provide our official tax forms. We ended up having to bring in (and pay for) an external firm to get them done properly — which completely defeats the purpose of using a payroll platform. Support was no help at all. They clearly didn’t understand payroll and gave us vague, copy-paste responses that showed zero ownership. When you’re dealing with compliance and people’s pay, you need a team that knows what they’re doing and actually cares. Unfortunately, Rippling failed us on both fronts. Support was hit-or-miss at best — long delays, unclear answers, and often no real resolution. When you’re managing people and pay, you can’t afford guesswork or tech that breaks without warning. We’ve since moved on to another system, and honestly, it’s been a huge relief.
