Pros

Ease of sending out emails, newsletters and integration with Canva.

Cons

Not being able to fix a donation that is placed in the wrong bucket by the donor.

I wish there were a way to add sales tax to event tickets. Would like a raffle feature.

### "Simple, user friendly design!"

Pros

Givebutter's user interface is very intuitive. I started creating events, fundraisers, and donor profiles during my first session on the site.

Cons

Many individuals who donate through Givebutter are also members of our organization. Unfortunately, Givebutter doesn't have a function to email donors directly. This essential feature would make Givebutter our go-to donor AND membership management platform. Hopefully, Givebutter will develop their communication options in the future!

Great overall experience. Love that it sends email confirmation and receipts.

Pros

Super easy to set up and use. Makes raising funds for your non-profit simple.

Cons

I dislike that it automatically wants the user to pay a tip to GiveButter and they have to manually uncheck the box. I feel like that’s sneaky.

### "Wow- just Wow"

Pros

You would expect with a free platform you would get lesser customer service than other paid platforms, but that is the completed opposite. The team at Givebutter are friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Every single person I've worked with is a five-star ambassador for the brand. Amazing to work with.

Cons

There are a few features I'm wanting that are in development.

Reason for choosing Givebutter

Since we were still under a paid contract with Network for Good, I didn't have budget to commit to another paid CRM at that time.

Their auction platform was great, but I had issues with year-end giving statements and their customer service was terrible. On top of that, their peer to peer fundraising was not robust enough to work for our campaign.

Overall we’re very happy with givebutter. It’s been easy to use and we enjoy the look of the platform.

Pros

GiveButter makes giving easy! We love how user friendly the platform is and the variety of options for fundraising through the app.

Cons

I wish there was an easier POS on-site app or card reader for quickly taking payment at fundraising events but still tracking funds raised through givebutter.

I’ve had nothing but positivity with Givebutter. It’s free and easy to use. They even give out grants to nonprofits with certain campaigns. I feel like they’re giving more to the nonprofit than taking away like most platforms.

It’s user friendly and free. They have grant opportunities.

No cons about Givebutter. Everything is okay.

Pros

The platform is user-friendly and intuitive. It has been easy for Peer to Peer fundraisers with no experience to naviagte.

Cons

I have no cons so far...I much prefer this platform to the one I was using.

We appreciate the existence of Givebutter and its low fees and easy integration into our platforms. We also appreciate that it is easy to track donations coming in through GiveButter.

Pros

Ease of integration into our website and Facebook fundraising campaigns.

Cons

I don't like that it is set to automatically include a tip for Givebutter and that donors have to uncheck that box to avoid adding a tip. Our donors don't appreciate that, and we want happy donors.

I loved it. While we didn’t raise enough money, it was easy to use and I enjoyed my experience.

Pros

I really loved the ease of use. The UX was nice on the backend and easy to set up the page (within minutes) and easy to send emails to announce your fundraiser.

Cons

There wasn’t a way to send email FROM another person to their donor. For example, we are raising money for a school and sending on behalf of the student but the conversion rate is much higher when the “From” is the Student’s name. We created a big workaround to do this and I wish it worked out of the box. (I also understand this could be against some email sending law which is why it’s not allowed)

### "Give Butter Good but not Great for Non-Profits"

Experience has been good but not great for our non-profit dog rescue. The main issue are the fees and quite a few of our donors have complained to us because they would rather we get all the money or they not have to pay a large fee for their donation.

Pros

Ability to create a campaign with pictures and send updates and text messages.

Cons

The fees charged to people giving donations to non-profits. We have received quite a few complaints that they would rather send us the money via Venmo or Zelle so we get the full donation and they don't have to pay high fees.

Cons

We would like to see more flexibility in setting up events with multiple options for events. i.e. multiple choices for the same ticket price. It didn't work for us

Pros

To be able to create a fundraising campaign and direct all event guests to this page to give, buy tickets and leave their thoughts. Its also been every useful for post-event follow-up with donors.

Cons

The mailing option (guest invitations + thank you cards) seemed a bit pricey.

Outstanding! We would recommend Givebutter to other organizations seeking to streamline their fundraising.

Pros

We used this for our big fundraiser and had a ton of customer service support leading into the event so we felt confident. The systems were intuitive and easy. We created efficiencies and ease with Givebutter and have also hosted a new online raffle with it as well.

Cons

There was not total functionality for tap to pay when we used Givebutter. I believe this has been fixed now.

I used GiveButter with another organization after switching from Network for Good (Bonterra). Every aspect of GiveButter is more user friendly for operations and donors. I was excited to set it up for a new organization and transitioned as soon as we could.

Pros

I love the accessibility and the ease of use with GiveButter. It has helped our small organization fundraise without complicated platforms or systems. People can donate using familiar to them tools like PayPal and Venmo. We can capture contact information without barriers. It helps us to build lasting donor relationships. The event tool is extremely useful for our organization as we seek to use events to raise funds and serve the community.

Cons

I find some of the fees to be challenging to understand in the back end and how they will be viewed by donors.
