### "Mural : The Great Presentation Board"

February 27, 2024

5.0

Overall it's great tool and this can be used in more capacity , not only presentation.I had great time working on it.

Pros

I was introduced to Mural by our organisation 's Germany Team. It is great tool in my point of view. We used mural board as only source for our workshops. Mural have so many great features. You can put so much altogether in one place. Zoom in and zoom out at whole canvas. It is interactive with its tables, graphs, features images, icons etc. We can link our files, PPT etc in here. We created interactive timelines on the board. It's easy to use for new users as well. It also have presentation mode which helps during presentation. Best thing is sticky notes which can be put as feedback and honest reviews by the audience. I loved using this tool and I will keep using it in our coming projects.

Cons

However, I loved this tool but sometimes tables are not that friendly while we are presenting and want to add something. We faced this issues while our presentations.

### "The best virtual dashboards."

November 15, 2023

5.0

Mural brings visualization to the information we pass through. Thanks to this, we can assimilate more information without confusion or getting tired because it is simply too much data. When we use Mural during meetings then participants are more engaged, and the meetings are less overwhelming to them.

Pros

I really enjoy working with Mural Dashboards because their innovative content. We can see live view of changes made on board; we can work with dashboard at the same time which is important in big teams. The visual content is engaging and keeps people focused and relaxed rather than distracted.

Cons

I don't like the logging process; it always asks for a password and doesn't remember my email. This part could be improved so the sessions could be longer, and browser could also save the email.

### "Constantly Moving Functions/Menu Items Around"

March 21, 2025

3.0

I would normally give five stars, but you guys keep moving functions and menu items around, which is BAD DESIGN. Stop doing that.

Pros

Mural is awesome and mostly user friendly.

Cons

They dev team constantly changes things. I train people in my org on how to use Mural, so I notice that things I have taught are now WRONG. Example: Changing canvas color used to be right-click from the canvas. Now it's in the drop down menu next to the drawing name. WHY? How did that change help users? Spoiler: It did not. Stop moving things around. Leave that type of behavior to Microsoft.

### "Mural is a very useful tool for creating projects"

September 11, 2023

4.0

Easy-to-use and up-to-date cPanel for managing all Mural-described features and settings. Whiteboard functionality for teaching and explaining complex concepts. Webinar attendees will find it simple to use. Attendees may be easily managed by the admin.

Pros

The top choice for hosting webinars online. Attendees from all across the world can easily connect to the webinar. During webinars, I was able to better clarify topics with its whiteboard tool. A query from a guest is easily raised. Meeting attendees and organizers alike can utilize the chat feature to stay in touch.

Cons

We have utilized Miro for this very purpose before. However, it was expensive and offered numerous other functions that I had no use for. And after I switched to Mural, everything ran smoothly.

### "With Mural it is easy to organize ideas"

August 28, 2023

4.0

Easy to structure thoughts and communicate with others across time and space. Capability to work together and workshop virtually with a large group of colleagues; and to replicate, in virtual form, the benefits of in-person workshopping.

Pros

Mural allows users to work together in real time or asynchronously, and with potentially big groups. This has helped me organize seminars for teams and include feedback from members who were unable to attend the meeting but still wanted to contribute.

Cons

To begin, the interface is littered with many tools and buttons meant to facilitate collaboration; I found this to be somewhat bewildering before I had completed my first Mural.

### "Mural provides a perfect whiteboard experience"

August 28, 2023

4.0

Facilitates group collaboration, which makes it a fascinating tool for workshops, ideation sessions, and goal-setting. In a Zoom meeting, this is the equivalent of using a white board in person.

Pros

Mural's accessibility is second to none. Easy group work, ideation, and coordination are just some of the benefits. I've used it successfully both in-person and over the internet with a large group of people.

Cons

There may be too many choices or customizations, or it may be difficult to locate the specific feature you need. The collection can be expanded to include additional types of template designs.

### "Mural is very helpful in collaborative projects"

August 21, 2023

4.0

Is what I use to examine information. It will help me develop affinity maps, user profiles, and user flows. I find this to be an excellent resource. To do my job, this is crucial. And I am able to work well with others.

Pros

My favorite feature of Mural is that it enables for the steady and continuous growth of an idea or concept over time, with contributions made offline and maintained through subsequent ruture review sessions.

Cons

On sometimes, I had to refresh the website because an issue has occurred while I was dragging the post it or items around with the mouse. When I spend too much time there, this happens to me.

### "Beautiful and powerful - if you're practiced"

September 23, 2025

4.0

Overall I find Mural better than its competitors and powerful for engaging and productive brainstorming sessions and workshops.

Pros

I can make my board look very aesthetically pleasing and aligned with our brand colours. I also really like being able to paste .svg files into the board to be infinitely zoomable. I use it to paste google slides that are needed for reference. The voting session feature is also excellent for making decisions during a live workshop.

Cons

Users find it difficult to navigate, particularly older folks. Sometimes during workshops, users move objects that are not meant to be moved and I have to re-arrange. I know there is an option to lock objects but then people can't edit/add text to the object. I would like to be able to lock an object so it can't be moved but can still be edited.

### "Makes the whiteboard a central hub for planning and representing achievements"

December 26, 2024

5.0

Mural has enhanced the value of the whiteboard in simplifying the workflow, enabling us to integrate it into all our meetings to document all its outputs.

Pros

Mural added life to the whiteboards, making them interactive and more expansive. I loved the ease of reviewing with Mural, all participants can enter their ideas and they are easily linked more than once until we reach the path that everyone agrees on. I loved Mural’s efficiency in documentation, as it records all the times of modifications and who made them with all efficiency. It is great that Mural simplifies the layout of the boards, with many options for font style and size, arrows, text spaces. I loved the ease of inserting images and charts in the required size within the same board. The connection to data sources is direct and easy, and allows us to keep the boards updated continuously. The templates are more than wonderful, and allow us to create many boards and charts and include them in reports or presentations with ease.

Cons

I cannot hate any feature of Mural, its constant real-time notifications enhance the speed of response.

Pros

Cons

### "A fun way to collaborate"

October 10, 2022

5.0

Using Mural allows ideas to flow easily, really effective in brainstorming. You just put in ideas via sticky notes or place text in shapes or photos then members can organize them the way they want to. Definitely it is a fresh way of exploring creativity within the team.

Pros

Mural makes collaboration enjoyable as you can be creative on how your boards would look like. Your board for today's design thiking can be transformed to a fresher more creative layout the next day. Truly, sky is the imit with Mural!

Cons

The flexibility it brings when it comes to real-time updates especially for multiple users make the board a bit unorganized which is why locking objects should be easily accesible anytime and keyboard shortcuts should be presented easily in tutorials.

### "Looking for an online whiteboard, I discovered much more when I found Mural"

July 21, 2022

5.0

Mural is literally the one software product that I started using for remote learning but continue to use even when teaching in person because I believe it truly supports collaboration, brainstorming, and mind mapping. I actually tried many other products and none of them comes even close to Mural for these purposes, for its ease of use, and for its flexibility.

Pros

When teachers ask me if I have any go-to tools for remote learning, I always tell them about Mural. During a difficult year adapting to the challenges of teaching online, Mural was a bright spot because although I had only been looking for an online whiteboard, what my students get when they use Mural is so much more. 1) It's easy to use...my students were able to find and use the tools without instructions or guides. 2) It offers many ways to express and connect ideas with a palette of tools and a convenient interface. 3) The facilitator can build custom thinkspaces or choose from a variety of templates, and also decide what elements to lock in place. 4) There are different participation levels, including the "visitor" level which allows anyone with the link to join a collaboration. 5) The "wall" space is giant...I have never run out of space, and easy navigation and zooming provide easy access to the whole space.

Cons

The only aspect I've found a bit challenging for those new to Mural is that sticky notes or text boxes sometimes pop up in unexpected places. As a facilitator, I sometimes have to roam around and delete unused elements that participants created but didn't find.

### "High efficiency in collecting and arranging members' ideas in an organized manner"

December 21, 2022

5.0

Mural helped us a lot by taking advantage of the time of remote meetings and achieving the desired goals, so that we can collect ideas directly from the participants and integrate them into a clear, arranged and agreed upon scheme.

Pros

Mural is one of the best whiteboards, as it is responsive, so we can participate remotely to complete the scheme that we are working on preparing very smoothly. I greatly appreciate the ready-made templates that Mural provides, as they give us advanced resources and ideas that help us be creative by implementing what we need during the brainstorming stage, or when planning work programs. I really appreciate the many formatting options and also the colors that we can add to the text boxes and the different shapes. It's great how Mural can see the edits that a member has made, and also how we can vote whether or not to approve them.

Cons

Not many negatives, as the Mural interface is very intuitive and easy to use, but since the members involved in preparing a chart do not have the same ability to format shapes and texts as required, this leads to double effort when formatting the agreed chart in its final form.

### "Excellent Tool for Collaboration"

August 14, 2023

5.0

Pros

Mural is my go-to tool for collaborating with groups online. The page navigation is intuitive. There are many useful frameworks and templates available to organize your work. Since moving most work online, Mural has been a critical tool to maintaining a collaborative work environment.

Cons

Some of my collaborators have found Mural to be overwhelming at first but, with some coaching, they have adjusted. I find turning off others' cursors seems to help.

### "Nothing else like it!"

January 31, 2020

5.0

My organization is new to visual thinking, design thinking and collaborative decision making. Mural has been a powerful driver of cultural change. They are constantly on the leading edge of how you can get more from their model and their platform. If you do any design thinking or want to make decisions transparently and quickly...get Mural now. Its more than whiteboarding - it's about thinking out loud!

Pros

Mural is a powerful collaboration tool that can be mistaken as a "virtual whiteboard". Which it is. But doing any collaborative decision making, doing any kind of design thinking, with remote teams is so much better with Mural than any other collaboration tool (webex, teams, etc).

Cons

Sometimes, for some users, there is a slight learning curve. So make sure for those users who are new to the tool, give them some prep work - create a Playground for them and be very intent on how you lock down the Mural so reduce any confusion they might have.

Reason for choosing Mural

Someone suggested some Microsoft whiteboarding tool and others in IT suggested that WebEx is sufficient. Now that they've used Mural they admit how wrong they were and the Mural has changed how they problem solve and collaborate.

### "A must have for remote work! "

May 12, 2020

5.0

We use mural all the time. We use it to create timelines for projects, to lead design sessions, to discuss evaluations, and to visualize our work very often. We have created our own templates for activities that we use for project managing and design thinking often. Our team loves it, and we are a huge advocate of using it, specially if you work with a team that is remote.

Pros

Mural is awesome! The thing I love the most about mural is that it allows os to visualized our work and projects in a virtual space, and many people can access it and work from it at the same time.

Cons

It was hard to learn at first. If you are trying to get a team on board with using Mural, or a new member of the team, it can be very challenging to get them to learn. Specially if you are asking them to lead a full design session or activities that need to take place on the Mural. It takes time to get used to it.

### "Slick whiteboard option on paid plan"

November 8, 2021

4.0

Overall, Mural was the best digital whiteboard experience I had, but I had to look for alternatives due to the issue with the trial period. I think that the other players in this space are catching up with Mural so that now I'm a customer of another tool.

Pros

The software works really well. Even when collaborating with many other users simultaneously, the "Facilitation Superpowers" are a convenient set of tools.

Cons

I started using Mural on the trial version, and when the trial expired, they locked me out. I had to contact the support team, which gave me a few more days to export a PDF version of my murals. They claim to have a "free forever" version now. But I haven't tested it yet.

5.0

It's quite effective for our live training sessions, meetings and team bonding activities.

Pros

The ability to summon members during sessions, use existing templates, scheduled timing per sessions and most of all collaborating with zoom and MS teams makes the my number one app.

Cons

I find it difficult to use it when my internet is poor. Though I believe it's like that with other apps.

### "Great for Collaboration"

March 12, 2021

4.0

Collaboration. It is great for workshops and sprints. The fact that everyone can see and work on it at the same time is great, especially during remote work

Pros

The main value of this software is the collaboration aspect. I love that I can bring people together regardless of their tech fluency and with one icebreaker activity, I can get them to use the main functions they will need for the next few hours. The double click for post-its, the "follow me" function, are great. I love that you can paste a URL and it shows a thumbnail of the article.

Cons

Unless you have certain permissions, it is difficult to change your name. It was random that some people had Avatar names like "Visiting Sheep" and others "Ryan (Visiting Squid)". People were confused why it was not changeable, even though the UI allows you to write before you enter the room. But then it doesn't reflect. It is also difficult to zoom into certain post its if they are outside the main board but on the same screen. Zoom functionality is weird.

### "Great collaborative tool! Powerful free version!"

December 22, 2021

4.0

Pros

The free version is great to start playing around with. It allows for up to 5 boards with unlimited members. Moving on to the paid version removes the 5 board limitations but still can collaborate with unlimited members which is a huge relief for a startup that is bootstrapping. It has features such as templates which is readily available and you can also create your own templates if you find that the current ones are insufficient. Not a steep learning curve but if you want to master it, you'll need to spend a bit more time learning the shortcuts.

Cons

More selection of typefaces - currently limited to handful of those, and also no bullets Integration is richer in Miro - Trello, Drive, etc.

### "Good tool for ideation across teams "

It’s a useful tool for ideation but I prefer it for smaller groups

Pros

Ultimately this tool is great if you have teams located in different offices and you can’t physically get together

Cons

Mural is the most intuitive and creative ideation software I have come across. No idea can hide if you get your organization on-board. There are low barriers to learning the tool so it is an easy sell.

Pros

It's a virtual design studio on your computing device (yeah I said that).

Cons

There have been occasions where I ran out of canvas on multi-day design events. The new, larger ideation space has largely fixed that.
