### "A decent software for social media post scheduling"

November 21, 2021

5.0

Overall a very positive experience, great software for those who manage multiple social media accounts and want to save time. But rather on a pricey side of programs that I'm using.

Pros

It is a great time saver, you can use Planable to schedule the posts on your social media, you just have to connect them and you're ready to go. I'm posting exclusively from Planable cause it is really convenient and quick. I am able to create a post and share it on all my social media, instead of having to open each and every one. It also allows me to plan my posting schedule way ahead, even months from now, which is a great function.

Cons

Sometimes it might be tricky to edit the content just as you envisioned it since some options are quite basic and rudimentary. The software is more suitable for quick posts, rather than long posts. Furthermore, I've encountered some problems with video uploading, sometimes it would just not go through and I would have to upload it again. Furthermore, if you try to schedule the same post on multiple social media accounts, and then edit it before it goes live, there might be some issues with it (post being edited on one page, not on the other).

### "The best platform for content approval processes"

October 6, 2025

4.0

Overall, Planable is a very clean, streamlined platform. I've tried several different social media management platforms and Planable has been the easiest to use. Features like easy content feedback & approvals and platform-specific content actually help streamline my social media management, rather than adding another program for me to juggle.

Pros

I love that Planable is incredibly flexible when you're managing several brands and several accounts. Being able to easily share content previews for approval, calendar views for different brands and/or platforms, etc. are exactly what I've been looking for in a social media management platform. The calendar view makes it easy to visually lay out my content for the month and make sure I'm posting regularly. The platform is very easy to use, which is great because I don't need to spend extra time teaching people how to use it or asking them to create an account when I send content for approval.

Cons

I don't like the fact that analytics aren't included in the base plans. Analytics are the cornerstone of good social media management and strategy, and tucking that behind an extra paywall feels unnecessary, especially when the subscription prices are already in the higher range. I would've given this review 5 stars if analytics were included in the subscription plans.

Alternatives considered

[Buffer](https://www.capterra.com/p/143492/Buffer/)

Reason for choosing Planable

(Buffer was chosen because the platform I was considering, Rella, is not listed) I like Planable's interface much more. Having a clean, seamless workspace is very important to me, especially when I'm managing the clutter of several accounts, so the minimalistic interface really appeals to me. Rella has similar key features I was looking for in a social media management platform (ability to manage several platforms at once, content feedback and approvals) but it didn't provide as much flexibility as Planable.

Switched from

[Buffer](https://www.capterra.com/p/143492/Buffer/)[Google Sheets](https://www.capterra.com/p/169718/Google-Sheets/)

With the number of social media platforms I manage across 3 different brands, using Buffer was not practical with their pricing model. It also doesn't have a content feedback & approval process without requiring an account. Google Sheets was also too simple and didn't give me the flexibility view my content in different ways, like a calendar.

### ""A Great Collaboration Tool That Makes Social Media Management Effortless""

May 15, 2026

4.0

It's been a solid tool overall. The collaboration and approval features really streamlined our workflow, and the visual feed preview saves a lot of back-and-forth with the team. A few limitations here and there, but nothing that takes away from how much it simplifies social media management day to day.

Pros

Planable has a very clean and intuitive interface that makes it easy to get started without a steep learning curve. The visual content calendar gives a clear overview of scheduled posts across multiple platforms

Cons

The editing options feel a bit limited sometimes, and it can get slow with a lot of content. Pricing might be a stretch for smaller teams, and I wish it had more integrations.

### "Satisfied but want better quality image uploads"

October 30, 2025

3.0

Its good, ive only started this month so hopefully its easy for my clients to use but overall I enjoy it, just really wish the image upload quality was better.

Pros

It's easy to use and I really appreciate that I can directly add my canva designs and add emojis. Hope my clients find it helpful.

Cons

HATE that the quality is so bad and you limit the quality of uploads on images. makes it really hard to plan content for clients who need high quality images like photographers/

### "Overall, just a GREAT platform! "

November 24, 2025

5.0

Very very good. It is easy to navigate for both team members and for clients, and we've had very good feedback from them.

Pros

I love the fact that our clients' have everything they need in one place! The ability to make notes internal, whilst allowing the clients' access to everything else, is something we have always struggled with, communication wise as agency. We also love the drafts for content creation, it makes it very easy for my team to plan the calendars in advance and gives the entire team visibility with no limitations on the number of members included in the cost of one workspace!

Cons

I wish Planable would send notifications at the beginning of the day when there's posts scheduled to avoid any minor mistakes for triple checking.

### "Best Program For the Money"

October 10, 2025

5.0

It is by far the best program for the money I have found. I highly recommend it, and it makes my job much easier.

Pros

I love the interface of Planable, it's clean, professional, and easy to use! My favorite part of the whole software is the shareable link without logins for my clients to see their content calendar. I work with larger organizations, and it makes it very helpful for them to be able to share links for single posts or the whole calendar if needed. There also isn't a charge for users, so I can bring my whole team on board to help.

Cons

The analytics section requires an extra fee (though it is small), and I believe it should be included since it is a higher-cost program. Also, the analytics could include a few more metrics that would be beneficial. There is a charge per workspace and a post limit that could be hard for some larger agencies to afford. I only need 3 spaces, so I have no issue here.

### "Easy, clear, and actually fun to use"

October 3, 2025

5.0

Overall, Planable has been a very positive experience for me. It’s simple, effective, and has features that make managing social media a lot less stressful. By far one of the easiest tools I’ve used in this space.

Pros

Planable was super easy for me to pick up the navigation is clear and simple, so I never felt overwhelmed figuring things out. For what it offers, the value is solid, especially since they let you use it for free at a minimal level, which is perfect for testing it out or keeping things light. I really like how all of my Facebook channels show up neatly on the left hand side of the dashboard, making it quick and hassle free to switch between accounts. The “Compose” feature is probably my favorite part it lets me create posts with just a click and the AI can even generate content and tags, which saves me so much time when I’m short on ideas. Once a post is ready, I have the option to publish it right away or schedule it for later and the scheduling feels reliable and keeps me organized. So far I’ve only used the free version, which has been more than enough for my light usage, but I can definitely see the paid plans being worth it for heavier posting.

Cons

So far, nothing major. If I had to pick, I’d say I’d like to see more AI customization options, but that’s just a nice-to-have.

### "Pros and Cons of Planable"

October 9, 2025

4.0

Pros

It's user-friendly, the layout and analytics are great, and I like that I can easily collaborate with clients.

Cons

The app often glitches and crashes when I am trying to post stories to Instagram. And it's very expensive. I don't like having to pay for clients as additional users. I would prefer a bundle price that would allow me to add multiple clients to one account. Often, my clients will have a few team members who need to access the account, but it's costly to allow this.

### "The best for social media management in a small scale"

September 29, 2025

5.0

Very good for those who do not have dozens of clients at once, very good, handy tool, features are user friendly, the best on the market in its price point thanks to UI and feautures

Pros

It is very easy, straight forward, no hidden tabs, has both calendar and feed view. Has approvals and comments also on a free version. Free version is great for 50 posts total, and 15/month free.

Cons

Database of posts should be more practical. But in a form as is is also fine, just to store posts as retro data need some space. Agency management vs individual client makes a difference. A lot of content on several platforms is hard. But for <100 is okay.

Pros

I love that we can chat with the team and the ability to show the feed to the clients externally so that theyre able to view only whats needed and not all our comments

Cons

I think the fact that there is no option to have a chatbox for the internal team, that would be great to have

### "Excellent Workflow, Needs Feature Parity"

October 14, 2025

4.0

Planable is a very positive experience, offering a highly user-friendly and collaborative scheduler with an excellent foundation. However, it currently falls short of being a complete solution due to missing advanced, platform-specific features required for maximum engagement on LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts.

Pros

It is exceptionally intuitive and easy to use. The visual, "at a glance" content overview provides excellent clarity for collaboration and saves significant time.

Cons

Feature gaps are the main downside. Specifically, we cannot choose custom thumbnails for YouTube Shorts, cannot post PDFs directly to LinkedIn, and there is no option to create native LinkedIn polls.

### "Best scheduling tool for Instagram"

October 17, 2025

5.0

Overall it was a fantastic experience. I liked the UI and the ease with which I could schedule reels.

Pros

Its very easy to schedule Instagram reels on Planable. I also liked the feature of generating caption, hashtags and adding first comment. Its also very inexpensive. It doesn't take much time to learn it.

Cons

When I was trying to add Custom Thumbnail from Media Library, I was not able to search the media by the name. E.g. I had uploaded images with numbers as their names. But whenever I wanted to select an image, I had to select Unused Media and then manually find the image by visually searching for the image number. Instead if I could type say "97" in a search bar in my case and it showed only that image, it could have saved some time and effort.

### "Great platform."

October 23, 2025

4.0

Platform works well. It's the best scheduling platform I have used so far. It would be better if it was a little bit cheeper.

Pros

How clean and easy it is to schedule and edit social media posts in advance. The platform is designed intuitively and is simple to use.

Cons

It would be better if it was a bit cheeper. If it was about 20-30% cheeper it would be more accessible to not for profits, charities, artists, and other independent projects and small business.

### "Simply the BEST!"

June 7, 2021

5.0

If you are not a big fan of one tool to do multiple things like I am (CRM, Email, Social, and Coffee making), Planable fits into your flow as the perfect Social Media Posting Tool. As with all other tools, you still have to manage your relationships directly through the platform itself!

Pros

The ease of posting to multiple platforms at the same time. You get a WYSIWYG interface. You can post to pages, groups, and most profiles. It allows ease of use when reposting old content and simply saves time and money. I have tried many other platforms, but this is the best at what it does, manage JUST SOCIAL POSTING for my business and my multiple clients. I can schedule a month's content in literally minutes - HUGE!!!

Cons

I wish it would have Favorites for past posts to make them easier to reschedule.

Reason for choosing Planable

It offered Better project management for Client Accounts - PLUS the WYSIWYG interface is simply the best!

### "Great and easy to use social media scheduler"

December 22, 2019

It makes social media posting and scheduling much quicker across multiple social media platforms - it is not a difficult thing even for non techys.

Pros

It is simple to post to multiple social media platforms at once and it is very user friendly e.g. tells me if my text is too large to also post to Twitter as well as the other platforms. The Instagram integration is also really smart/

### "Great value for money"

June 7, 2021

5.0

It has been very easy to implement into my business. If I have had a question or issue the customer service and support is very quick so top marks for that.

Pros

It does what it says on the box. I have found it works really well for me and my colleagues. Simple to use and does what I need. It also sits at a great price point for a self employed business owner. The interface is good and easy to use for both me and the members I train.

Cons

Nothing really. It would be good to be able to text using your own mobile network. But this is the same for other software as well.

Reason for choosing Planable

Price and functionality, the balance between the two. Is it worth paying extra for function that you might not use, or only use infrequently.

Pros

### "A carefree social media posting app"

September 12, 2018

5.0

Overall my experience has been positive and would recommend this if you are a small company that wants to stream line your SM.

Pros

It's easy to use and it works. It's dead simple, which is exactly what I wanted because while I love to be on social media, creating content and managing it can be a bit of a hassle. This helps me, and my team get organized and have posts run automatically. Also, I really like the feature of having separate accounts. Though we are not a SM management agency, can see this being a giant win for those that do offer that service.

Cons

Not a lot of bad things about the app itself. I had a bit of a rocky start getting set up with all of our accounts, but I started pretty early on in their development. Since the initial on boarding, I haven't experienced anything a foul.

### "It's REALLY easy to get started with Planable, I love flexibility of the workspaces."

March 1, 2018

4.0

Pros

I LOVE how easy it is to use the workspaces and the flexibility to create multiple profiles within a workspace. I have different social media profiles specific to my own projects, one set is for travel one set is for remote work, another is about workplace wellness. I created my workspace with my different projects and have the ability to create a post to publish on different channels. I appreciate the calendar view as well. There's a lot of updates on new features and Instagram publishing is in the works. I use Hootsuite, CoScheduler, TweetDeck and for the simplicity of posting and the visual of the workspace I really like using Planable.io.

Cons

Right now there's no reporting analytics to look at so I go back to my regular tools or straight to Twitter/Facebook to look at results. I've run into some glitches posting after moving timezones. I discovered you can actually set a timezone specific to your workspace which is great. That said, I've noticed I've got to double check some posts to make sure they post and I'm not sure what's going on. I just opened a ticket about it. if I schedule a post to publish on a future day and time, it's posting. I don't get a warning about a failed a post.

March 1, 2018

5.0

Giving clients access to our posts prior to publishing. Creating a content calendar that our clients can see and comment against. Linking to many different social accounts at the same time and creating posts once for many platforms.

Pros

Being able to showcase our posts to our clients in a secure portal prior to launching. Always improving the platform with calendars, additional account links, etc. Yeah, great.

Cons

Sometimes the LinkedIn links don't work brilliantly, but it's new and we'll give them time to make it work.

### "Great look and feel but still needs a lot of features"

March 5, 2018

3.0

Pros

I would say what I liked the most about Planable was the look and feel as well as the ease of use. No other tool matches Planable in how slick, organized and aesthetically-pleasing it is. Giving and receiving comments couldn't be easier, and you can clearly see the feedback given on every post. I also liked how the platforms are separated by tabs in order not to confuse things up and also to keep the posts organized. Their customer care team is very helpful and highly responsive, which is something you always need when subscribing to a tool.

Cons

Even though it's great in terms of look and feel and organization, the same can't be said about the features. Especially because Planable carry a similar price tag of other tools which have a lot more features. Calendar view, asset library, a space for ideas and an app are among the many features that the tool needs to have before asking users for that price. However, the team seems to be open to ideas and they also want to apply all the features that could help the users more in the near future so I'll say that I'll definitely be considering Planable again once these features are there.

### "Excellent, their support is top notch and the solution is inexpensive for what you get. Love it!"

March 2, 2018

5.0

Pros

I was looking for a solution to review the remote team's social posting but one that would give me the full essence of what those posting would look and voila, Planable to the rescue. Beat Hootsuite, Buffer and others to the selection. It gives me an overall calendar view of the planned and posted social postings, authority to approve and edit social postings. When you schedule a posting with images, even if they are website image cards, you get to see exactly how that would look like in the correspondent social channel. As we have a distributed social media management team across timezones, this has made my job as marketing manager of that team and its activities on social media ever so simple. Simply amazing

### "Planable changes the game"

March 1, 2018

5.0

Pros

Planable has really streamlines our team's communications when it comes to scheduling and approving social media posts. First, we are a decentralized team and everyone is all over the globe. Planable helps us schedule posts without logging and in and out of the social accounts all of the time and dealing with pesky verification codes when a different team member logs in. Secondly, when we are training newbies, we are able to use the handy-dandy approval mechanism to ensure all social posts meet our client standards. Planable is a game changer.

### "We have had a good experience with planable so far. We like the fresh interface. "

March 1, 2018

3.0

The benefit of having a nice visual calendar with an approval workflow has been the main reason that we use the software. Also, the ability to auto post to Facebook and other platforms.

Pros

The fresh interface and the visual calendar. The ability to see all of the posts on one calendar has been fantastic. I like the collaboration feature to work with clients and have them approve posts.

Cons

The software just needs more features. The ability to post on Instagram with the new algorithm change Instagram has opened up auto posting to business accounts. This is something that you need to keep up with the competition. The ability to have a library of content and integration with dropbox/Google Drive and maybe even unsplash or Canva would be excellent features! Also, the ability to save captions/hashtags in a library that would be searchable would be another great feature! The software is good but with some more features it could be excellent! Also, the mobile version is very difficult to use. The addition of an App for IOS and Google Play would be a huge deal.

### "Simple to use, straightforward social media management tool."

March 1, 2018

4.0

Management of clients' social media accounts.

Pros

Planable has clean integration with the most popular social media platforms. It's nice that it emulates the individual feeds so that you can preview how the posts will appear on the platforms and to your followers. Separating workspaces for different brands/companies and having user permissions management per workspace allows for a scalable agency solution, but it's a fully featured solution for a single workspace as well. Separate approval/scheduling actions allow your team to develop a workflow that is appropriate for internal or client use.

Cons

Planable lacks any advanced content or growth features that other services offer, such as evergreen content management or follower tools, though these are not a space that Planable is directly competing in. I would perhaps like to see more engagement analytics implemented if possible, as Planable is a good platform to engage clients within regarding approval and potentially reporting of their social media posts as well.
