But rather on a pricey side of programs that I'm using. Pros It is a great time saver, you can use Planable to schedule the posts on your social media, you just have to connect them and you're ready to go. I'm posting exclusively from Planable cause it is really convenient and quick. I am able to create a post and share it on all my social media, instead of having to open each and every one. It also allows me to plan my posting schedule way ahead, even months from now, which is a great function. Cons Sometimes it might be tricky to edit the content just as you envisioned it since some options are quite basic and rudimentary. The software is more suitable for quick posts, rather than long posts. Furthermore, I've encountered some problems with video uploading, sometimes it would just not go through and I would have to upload it again. Furthermore, if you try to schedule the same post on multiple social media accounts, and then edit it before it goes live, there might be some issues with it (post being edited on one page, not on the other). I've tried several different social media management platforms and Planable has been the easiest to use. Features like easy content feedback & approvals and platform-specific content actually help streamline my social media management, rather than adding another program for me to juggle. Pros I love that Planable is incredibly flexible when you're managing several brands and several accounts. Being able to easily share content previews for approval, calendar views for different brands and/or platforms, etc. are exactly what I've been looking for in a social media management platform. The calendar view makes it easy to visually lay out my content for the month and make sure I'm posting regularly. The platform is very easy to use, which is great because I don't need to spend extra time teaching people how to use it or asking them to create an account when I send content for approval. Cons I don't like the fact that analytics aren't included in the base plans. Analytics are the cornerstone of good social media management and strategy, and tucking that behind an extra paywall feels unnecessary, especially when the subscription prices are already in the higher range. I would've given this review 5 stars if analytics were included in the subscription plans. Alternatives considered [Buffer](https://www.capterra.com/p/143492/Buffer/) Reason for choosing Planable (Buffer was chosen because the platform I was considering, Rella, is not listed) I like Planable's interface much more. Having a clean, seamless workspace is very important to me, especially when I'm managing the clutter of several accounts, so the minimalistic interface really appeals to me. Rella has similar key features I was looking for in a social media management platform (ability to manage several platforms at once, content feedback and approvals) but it didn't provide as much flexibility as Planable. Cons I wish Planable would send notifications at the beginning of the day when there's posts scheduled to avoid any minor mistakes for triple checking. I highly recommend it, and it makes my job much easier. Pros I love the interface of Planable, it's clean, professional, and easy to use! My favorite part of the whole software is the shareable link without logins for my clients to see their content calendar. I work with larger organizations, and it makes it very helpful for them to be able to share links for single posts or the whole calendar if needed. There also isn't a charge for users, so I can bring my whole team on board to help. Cons The analytics section requires an extra fee (though it is small), and I believe it should be included since it is a higher-cost program. Also, the analytics could include a few more metrics that would be beneficial. There is a charge per workspace and a post limit that could be hard for some larger agencies to afford. I only need 3 spaces, so I have no issue here. It’s simple, effective, and has features that make managing social media a lot less stressful. By far one of the easiest tools I’ve used in this space. Pros Planable was super easy for me to pick up the navigation is clear and simple, so I never felt overwhelmed figuring things out. For what it offers, the value is solid, especially since they let you use it for free at a minimal level, which is perfect for testing it out or keeping things light. I really like how all of my Facebook channels show up neatly on the left hand side of the dashboard, making it quick and hassle free to switch between accounts. The “Compose” feature is probably my favorite part it lets me create posts with just a click and the AI can even generate content and tags, which saves me so much time when I’m short on ideas. Once a post is ready, I have the option to publish it right away or schedule it for later and the scheduling feels reliable and keeps me organized. So far I’ve only used the free version, which has been more than enough for my light usage, but I can definitely see the paid plans being worth it for heavier posting. Cons So far, nothing major. If I had to pick, I’d say I’d like to see more AI customization options, but that’s just a nice-to-have. I would prefer a bundle price that would allow me to add multiple clients to one account. Often, my clients will have a few team members who need to access the account, but it's costly to allow this. Has approvals and comments also on a free version. Free version is great for 50 posts total, and 15/month free. Cons Database of posts should be more practical. But in a form as is is also fine, just to store posts as retro data need some space. Agency management vs individual client makes a difference. A lot of content on several platforms is hard. But for <100 is okay. Clear way to see how the post will look on the target social network. Easy way for client to offer feedback so you have more time for other work. Pros Planable is the first social media management system that flawlessly streamlines the creation, editing and approval process from the creative agency to the client & then to the public. When you manage several brands, each with a presence in several networks, keeping everything up to date can be a daily struggle. What did I forget? Did we get approval on that post we need today? Did we have any feedback we did not include? Planable turned this "juggling of too many balls" turned into a simple process. The intuitive interface and the fact that posts look exactly like they will on the target social network makes it easy for us to create content and for clients to offer feedback through comments and approve. All in one place, with a few clicks, in an easy-to-understand process. The most surprising bit? I've actually had a client call me to ask "hey, why aren't we using Planable anymore?", after getting a proposal by email from a colleague. It was the first time \*ever\* I saw a client being invested in a system - showing it works great from their end, too. Other PROs: - Very quick and reliable support. - Rapid development, with new features added all the time (just in the last months, we got the option to use Planable for personal profiles, Wordpress soon), and the public roadmap where users' suggestions are prioritised is a great idea. - The "calendar view" - showing one or multiple managed accounts - is an excellent tool for a "birds-eye view" at any given moment. Cons Planable is NOT for you if you're looking for a solution for analytics and reports. This is a product that helps you create, approve and publish, rather than measure, analyse or report. Planable is ideal for managing social networks where it shows us an excellent calendar view to manage these. It offers us a large amount of tools where we can choose what to publish and when to do it, it gives us a preview of how the publications will look in a way to give more confidence and allows us to collect information as comments from the publications. Cons The publication process can be complicated when you start using Planable. since an approval process is required for the publications and it can seem a tedious process to us sometimes. I was fortunate to get the AppSumo deal of lifetime of Premium membership. I like the interface over Hootsuite, it seems cleaner and more modern. The multiple views that you can see your scheduled posts is very handy. If you are looking to move away from Hootsuite, you might give this one a try. Pros I have multiple businesses that I maintain social media for. With planable, I can set up each one in my account (a workspace is one set of social media accounts). So business A is 1 workspace with its own Facebook and Twitter feed. Business B is another workspace. You can have team members who are set up to write posts but they won't be published till they are approved. You see exactly how the post will look before its ever published. Cons Limited to Facebook (pages , groups & personal), Twitter and Linkedin posting. Instagram posting is coming (via an app) but hasn't arrived yet because of Instagram app review freeze. I haven't been able to use it often recently due to work, but it is very easy to learn and use compared to other social media management tools I use. (Hootsuit, Sendible and Sprinklr) The interface is very easy, light, and simple. You can see almost everything at once. No useless features that make it unnecessarily crowded. Especially the calendar view is very good. Cons The plan I use has one workspace. If there were at least 2 workspace options, I could separate the work for my own brand and those for my clients' brands. Also, although this is not directly related to the program itself, I would love to have a local pricing option. Reason for choosing Planable I wouldn't say I like Hootsuite's interface in general. I've used it before and thought I wouldn't say I liked it. Especially the Instagram integration was not working well. Sendible's interface was also very complicated. Sprinklr was already designed for substantial companies, with unnecessary features and too expensive for a small agency owner like me. March 7, 2018 4.0 It makes sharing potential social media posts and getting them approved (while allowing for comments and editing) really simple. It's user-friendly, doesn't take a lot of time to show someone how to use and keeps from having to use spreadsheets and image files and having to GUESS how something will look when it's posted. Pros I have a couple of clients I create and post social media content for and Planable makes it easy for me to create the posts and have my clients see what it will look like on the platform it will be posting to, view it in either a list or calendar view and approve it right there (no more having to go between spreadsheets and image files!) I can post onto social media platforms right from Planable or just use Planable as a way to track what's been approved and what I've published. My clients can leave comments if they want changes made and it's not something that requires a lot of training or complicated instructions to start using. Cons My only frustration is that if I don't create posts in date order, there seems to be no way to rearrange them in the list view to be in date order. Honestly, though, that's a very minor thing. Since the interaction with your clients is there all the time, the storytelling is empowered. Consistency in online presence is key nowadays, and Planable helps you achieve that. You can create teams for every client or brand, have everything (about every social media) visually organized and everyone (team members and clients) can comment and suggest about every detail before any post is published. Pros Since we start using Planable in our agency, our workflow had become more fluent and easy to manage. No more google sheet to use, no more sending files and reviews. Well, as a CMO, it makes my job easier, and now I have more time to spend on more important things. Cons Sometimes when I need to delete a picture and upload a new one for a specific post, i spend over 10 minutes to work it out. I've had several questions along the way and Planable customer service has been knowledgeable, timely, and very helpful in helping me to find a quick solution to the problem at hand. Cons What I do not love is the inability to post directly to Instagram at this time. I know this is a feature that is promised in the future; however, for the time being, it is not very useful to create a post on Planable and then re-create it all over again in Instagram.
