### "Adobe Gets it Done!"

April 24, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Adobe Acrobat Reader has been very positive, especially for working with PDFs in a smooth and reliable way. It makes viewing and navigating documents effortless, while also supporting easy editing and creation of PDFs without disrupting formatting. Converting and importing other document types into polished PDFs is seamless, which helps maintain a professional look across files. I also find it particularly effective for sharing documents for signatures, with straightforward tools that make sending, tracking, and completing e-signatures simple and efficient. Even when making edits like adding text or annotations, the tools feel intuitive and integrate well with existing content, helping documents stay clean and well-structured. Overall, it’s a dependable, user-friendly platform for managing PDFs from creation through final distribution.

Pros

What I like most about Adobe Acrobat Reader is how reliable and easy it is for everyday PDF use. It opens files quickly, keeps formatting consistent, and handles everything from simple reading to filling out forms and adding signatures without hassle. The interface is clean enough that I don’t have to hunt for basic tools, but it still offers more advanced features when I need them. I also appreciate how well it integrates across devices, so I can pick up where I left off. Overall, it strikes a good balance between simplicity and functionality, making it a dependable go-to for working with PDFs.

Cons

What I like least is that editing PDFs can feel restrictive, with limited control over font, color, and the precise placement of new text boxes relative to existing content.

### "nice tool..."

April 13, 2026

Features such as highlighting, sticky notes, and the Fill & Sign tool are frequently cited as easy to use and essential for daily digital paperwork

Pros

It is the industry standard for reading PDFs, ensuring that documents look exactly the same across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.Users often highlight its robustness, noting that it rarely crashes even when handling large or complex files compared to basic browser-based viewers

Cons

Users frequently report that the application is "bloated," often consuming significant system memory (RAM) and causing slow loading times, even on powerful hardware.

### "Awful, clunky, obstructive, pervasive and persistent. Avoid if possible."

March 7, 2026

2.0

Frustrating, and ultimately I switched to PDF Express for the versatility, cost and utility. If I could surgically excise Adobe from my PC and Android phone completely, I would, but it's like a leech.

Pros

It's widespread and easy to access - most people and companies know it and can format products using it.

Cons

Everything else. It's pervasive so if I want to use another product, it insists on insinuating into startup. The interface is so different from Microsoft products, and so unhelpfully obstructive or limited, that I found working with it frustrating. Saving files is a pain. Why mess with something that worked (ie the MS Word-like save dialogue, that Acrobat USED to use?). Highlighting function is very glitchy. And updating to the full package Acrobat is glitchy, most functions go unused, and its no better.

Switched from

[Soda PDF](https://www.capterra.com/p/226942/SODA-PDF/)

I wouldn't have, but it was necessitated by a switch into a new laptop and compatability issues. Soda PDF (and what I use now, PDF Express) are so much more versatile and user friendly - and cheaper.

### "Industry standard and very reliable, but not the cheapest."

March 29, 2026

4.0

Pros

Works everywhere consistently across operating systems. And has a good record of document security. Excellent for signing PDFs and filling out forms. The free version does a good range of basic features making it easy to get started.

Cons

It does use a fair bit of system resources which makes it feel heavier than some 3d party apps that offer similar functions.

### "Reliable and Essential PDF Viewer for Everyday Use"

April 10, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Adobe Acrobat Reader has been very positive. It’s a dependable and easy-to-use tool for opening, viewing, and managing PDF documents across different devices. I especially appreciate how consistently it preserves formatting and layout, which makes reading files stress-free. The annotation features like highlighting and commenting are also helpful for studying and reviewing documents.

Pros

What I liked most about Adobe Acrobat Reader is how reliable and easy it is for viewing and managing PDF files. It opens documents quickly and preserves formatting perfectly, which makes reading and sharing files very convenient. I also appreciated useful features like highlighting, commenting, and filling out forms, which make it more than just a basic reader. Its compatibility across devices ensures I can access important documents anywhere, which is especially helpful for school and work.

Cons

What I liked least about Adobe Acrobat Reader is that many of its more advanced features, such as editing PDFs or converting files, require a paid subscription. This can feel limiting for users who only use the free version.

### "Great for PDF Files"

May 7, 2026

5.0

Overall, Adobe Acrobat Reader is a dependable and easy‑to‑use tool for handling PDFs. It’s great for reading documents, filling out forms, and adding quick notes without any stress. Even though it can be a little slow at times and some features require a subscription, it still delivers a smooth, trustworthy experience that most people can count on.

Pros

Adobe Acrobat Reader is super reliable for opening and viewing PDFs without any hassle. It loads documents quickly, keeps everything looking clean and sharp, and works well across different devices. The tools for highlighting, commenting, and filling out forms make it really convenient for school, work, or everyday tasks. It’s one of those apps that just does what you need without making things complicated.

Cons

Sometimes Acrobat Reader can feel a bit heavy, especially on older devices where it takes longer to open. A few features are locked behind paid upgrades, which can be annoying when you just want to do something simple like edit text. The interface also has a lot of buttons and menus, so it can take a minute to figure out where everything is.

### "Pros and cons of Adobe"

Very critical tool that is used daily in our organization. Almost all documents are converted to PDF's.

Pros

This program allows us to export filed that are able to be in the read only status so customers are not able to edit these files.

Cons

When having the option to edit PDF's, this can be difficult to navigate. It can be complicated to edit the information.

### "User friendly time saver!"

May 12, 2026

5.0

Adobe is easy to use and implememnt and makes filling out and editing forms a breeze. We also love how easy it is to convert PDFs into other formats of use.

Pros

Adobe Acrobat Reader makes PDF viewing, converting, customizing, and editing SO seamless! Have a paid subscription enhances the ease of use. We particularly like using Adobe to fill out forms for customers, jobs, etc in a professional and clean manner.

Cons

Adobe can feel a little clunky in its functionality. It is not always very precise in where the fields are to be able to fill out, and it can be challenging to move fields around to nicely align with the form.

### "Adobe Acrobat Reader is One of the Best PDF Readers Out There"

April 24, 2026

4.0

Overall, this is a great simple program to use and is strictly used for viewing PDFs. This program runs well and does not seem to require a lot of computer resources and does not slow down with heavy files. A tried-and-true software.

Pros

I like how easy and simple Adobe Acrobat Reader is to use for viewing PDFs. There is nothing too complicated about it and can be easily used without much training involved.

Cons

What I like least about Adobe Acrobat Reader is just that it is a simple program that does not allow much in way of editing your PDF files. It is strictly a viewer and you will need to pay for the upgraded version to do more serious editing.

### "A Feature-Packed PDF Tool You Can Rely on"

July 12, 2025

5.0

My Overall Experience with Adobe Acrobat Reader When I began using Adobe Acrobat Reader, I found the software to be quite efficient. It’s my all-purpose PDF tool, at home and at work. There are lighter alternatives to Adobe, but none are as reliable or precise, especially when it comes to handling PDFs. Cons: Some features are still in the works, it could use more pluginsOverall: This is an exceptional product and you can tell the developers care about adding the features we need. If you need a reliable PDF reader with mild to moderate tools, Adobe Acrobat Reader is still the industry leader.

Pros

The thing I love the most about Adobe Acrobat Reader is that it integrates smoothly with PDF viewing and marking up comment feature. The UI is clean and intuitive that let's you navigate through documents, highlight text and even fill forms. It offers a generous selection of file size support, as well as complex document types, with no lag. And with cloud storage support (Adobe Cloud, Dropbox, and Google Drive) file access and sharing is easy and intuitive. Cross platform There is nothing worse than unnecessary inconsistency on your desktop and laptop between platforms (yes, taking about you Chrome).

Cons

My only gripe is the fact that certain high-level functions, including being able to edit, convert to PDF, or merge

Pros

It’s hard not to use it still today. I find it very useful as a tool that digitizes documentation, and allows me to access important documents anytime.

Cons

### "User of Adobe Daily"

June 2, 2025

5.0

Overall, I appreciate the features I use most like adding stamps, organizing pages, combining documents, and preparing forms and signing them. I love being able to mark up reports with comments and highlighting information for the receiver who needs a little more detail about certain items.

Pros

I most appreciate that I can convert my documents into fillable pdfs. It helps so much to send forms fillable to new employees and employees needing to fill out their benefit forms.

Cons

I find it frustrating when I have saved something to an Adobe PDF and then also have to scan it for readable so I can write on it.

I have been using Adobe Acrobat Reader for years and it is one of the most consistent pieces of software I've ever used. It just works as it should!

Pros

Adobe Acrobat Reader is the best option for viewing files such as PDF formatted files. I make it a point on new systems to make sure Adobe Acrobat Reader is the default application for opening PDF files.

Cons
