Owner Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "ActiTIME - Tracking and Billing Made Easy" May 5, 2022 4.0 Overal, I have been using ActiTIME self-hosted version for over 4 months and I love it. It provides me with everything I need to track my daily tasks, to properly provide clients a detailed report on tasks for invoices I send using Invoice Ninja and lastly it doesn’t require a monthly subscription which is always a plus! Pros The pros for this software are easily the ability to host the software yourself; I currently have the software self-hosted and have a one user license at the moment. Really nice features that provide everything I need on a daily basis to track, invoice and get paid. Cons The software does have some features and nice to haves missing, but overall I feel it’s a pretty descent package for the price they charge. One feature I would love to see is when a time is started for tracking, it also timestamps WHEN it was started and WHEN it was stopped instead of just providing the total time. I’ve used this system in multiple companies now and it’s a useful tool to have in place for reporting and accounting purposes. Pros It’s a very straightforward system to both set up and use (both as an admin and end user). The licensing model is cheap and accessible. Setting up teams and projects/tasks is easy to do as well as maintain. Cons Some of the reports can be tricky to work through. To determine user activity, I have had to export a report and then carry out some basic Excel formulas to calculate the exact metrics needed. Co-Owner Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "actiTIME has been great for time-tracking projects in our business" August 7, 2023 5.0 For our time tracked projects that we bill clients actiTIME has saved us quite a bit of time vs managing that by hand as we have multiple people working on a project with one person doing the billing for both. It keeps us from having to collect that information manually and then type in that information on the invoices. Pros Offers quite a bit of functionality for free. Time tracking and the ability to carry that information over into invoices are critical features we need to complement the other SaaS products that we use (wave, clickup, etc). Project setup and time-tracking work very well for us and does everything we currently need. Cons The reports/invoices are still a little clunky compared to the features offered by Wave and other competitors. As far as I know there is no way to have the invoices remember recurring billing items that are not related to expenses or time-tracking. We would like a fixed monthly billing item on each of our invoices, currently we add those by hand. I like the ability to track cummuative work hours on a separate tab to compare with pay statements. Pros Clean and clear interface. Common-sense functionality. I like the fact that the application autosaves periodically while it is open. Cons Two-factor authentication is a great security feature, but for those clients who are prohibited from bringing their cell phones into their workplaces, it keeps them from accessing actiTIME from their workspaces. Pros Actitime makes it easy to add projects and tasks and allows me to track billable and non-billable time spent in each project. This also allows me to improve my time estimation for cost estimating for future projects. Cons The software support has been difficult although the software is pretty simple to understand. We have few check points and we use actiTIME to analyse how effective we were by taking time reports and comparing it with what results we have so far. The dashboard contains every thing that needed to control time tracking of the whole organization. We set separate tracking for each sub groups to compare them with others. Cons I can see lot of button s here and there on the dashboard which I have never used until now. The user interface is somewhat not good enough to catch someone's attention. Pros Very useful tool to track approved timesheets for R&D projects, as we need to justify R&D tax credit claims and grants on a monthly basi, so this tool provide all we need to have a good backup each month. Cons What I do not like is that it has very few features that do not help enough I think if you add more options where it improves or facilitates the quality with which we work it would be easier to use and therefore you would have a better performance and it would be fabulous, I would also like them to add more options and also improve a bit the design would be excellent. The people from Actitime who have been in touch with me have all been very proactive and service oriented. Cons It would be helpful if there were a way to let people know if a similar client, job, or task has already been created, so you don't have anything entered more than once. Maybe if there was a feature that made you identify a specific task (like a Phone Meeting), which could then be applied to multiple clients. This can also be remedied by strict protocols in the office, but a fail safe with the software, like Quickbooks has, would be nice. I had a security certificate problem that required at least five emails; each time your customer support person gave me a careful and accurate answer within a few hours. And I was using the free version.
