This software helps me quickly ingest data sources that are obscure, out of the ordinary, or that require special accommodation. Saves me from having to write Python and the interaction it provides me with REST APIs is extremely powerful.

Pros

I feel like you can do anything with data movement when it comes to using the ZappySys SSIS Power Pack. It even does a lot of the native SSIS stuff better. The product gets regular updates and releases and the support team is amazing at helping you out. They go above and beyond to work with you on issues that come up.

Cons

Nothing I can think of. Even when I have found a bug, the ZappySys team works to release a fix in less than a week. Very good to know that they listen to their customers.

### "Highly Recommend Zappysys"

Pretty much summed up the first 2 questions. It is so flexible almost against it's own good--but don't tell them I said that because I don't want to lose the flexibility, just want to understand more :) Zappysys has fantastic support as well. Sometimes it seems the email back and forth is delaying but it's getting to the root to determine if a call or just a screenshot is needed.

Pros

It so far has all the features (data flow tasks and connectors) that I need right now to reach cloud data repos, etc. and Zappysys is continually updating the product. With our license we benefit from these added features.

Cons

Sometimes the widget interfaces aren't communicating very clearly the information needed for the configuration. While Zappysys did an amazing job (most vendors never include this in their product) including examples, links and even help text, some of these screens contain over 100 pieces of information and sometimes it's hard to know which 1 or 2 or 7 things need to be filled in and when and why.

It's the most suitable tool designed for API and Data integration solution that I used in the last 7 years

Pros

I worked with support engineer \[sensitive content hidden\] for the trial that we did. He was phenomenal in getting our automation setup. We are definitely going to buy the product.

Pros

The setup and deployment was great. It seems to work seamless with Visual studio. The tools seem very easy to use as well.

Cons

We just downloaded the product to start with the trial. So far we have not found anything that we do not like.

Pros

It has very good number of features and liked it very much. Every zappysys task is needed.

Cons

None at the moment to point out but I am seeing less technical help during IST nights. That could be improved.

### "SSIS power pack saves time and effort"

The support service is excellent and very fast. If I have a question about using their tools, like which tool within the SSIS power pack, is the best tool to use to solve a particular problem, they will help and make suggestions.

Pros

It allows me to import/export JSON and XML to/from SQL Server with much more ease than using built-in available SSIS available tools. It picks up where the built and tools leave off… it requires some technical knowledge, but you don’t have to learn to write complex programs, like in Java. This saves a lot of time and effort, especially in small IT departments like ours!

Cons

Occasionally, while using their tools in SSIS, there are little pop-up or comment boxes that get displayed and should, but don’t, disappear again.

Cons

Automatic checks not available on patch upgrade or alerts on upgrades, system should check if any new features are introduced in the latest release. Inform customers to see if it benefits them.

It's been great. The tools work as designed and ZappySys support has been excellent. They've helped me with configuration and troubleshooting multiple times and every experience has been painless.

Pros

The API connection managers have been a lifesaver, the install was simple, and the software works exactly as advertised.

Cons

The API connection managers are quite complex and the interfaces are quite busy and somewhat intimidating. (But the support staff have been amazing at walking me through configuration and usage, so this isn't much of a problem, really.)

The offline licensing proces. Why not send the generated license key front out instead of a user who has to generate it.

### "Save development time with this add-on"

Every organization I went to, I have recommended purchasing this add-on because the steps it performs avoids a lot of programming and setup. I've consistently delivered and no one can put a dollar amount on the development time saved. It can theoretically pay for itself in a week for a senior resource to work on packages.

Pros

We use the JSON file and API connectivity the most. Everything is configuration where there is no coding at all.

Cons

Some rough parts in the Excel component that can be further enhanced so it behaves like the CSV component in terms of looping through files. Need one for Access files as well.

Reason for choosing ZappySys SSIS PowerPack

This package covers most of what we need, but we still need specialized coverage from other add-ons, which is unavoidable to be purchasing others where needed after evaluation.

The SSIS Powerpack has made my Data Movement and ETL Processing extremely flexible. Working with support was also very easy contact and the support personnel (I'm sorry as I can't remember his name) was very helpful and explained what I needed to do to solve my issue in a very timely manner.

Pros

The ease of use of the tasks that are included ie. File System, API Tasks

Cons

Nothing that comes to mind as the tasks that I've used so far have been successful

### "Amazing support"

The support is outstanding. Last year I was given a tight deadline and I couldn't get the Zappysys connector to do what I wanted it to do. I raised a request and within 3 days a new version was available that saved my skin.

Pros

What I really like about Zappysys software is that the user interface is littered with links to places where you can get more details.

Cons

This is going to sound odd, but, sometimes I find that the company name "Zappysys" gives people the wrong impression. It doesn't sound dull and boring enough to stop people worrying about things like longevity. I usually have to dig out our original PO to show that we've been using the software for getting on to 6 or 7 years.

### "Great product and support"

I am not a DBA by trade. I have had to learning everything on the job. My company wanted to extend our SQL environment to include the use of SSIS packages for data transforms and other tasks. This product has helped me expand my skill set with SSIS and SQL overall. Now I still get stuck on how to do something but Zappy has a great support team that will put you in a stroller and push you around. All the while tell you everything will be ok. Great product but its the support that keeps coming back.

Pros

Helps simplify tasks that can be a overwhelming for the accidental DBA. With a outstanding support network to guide you through the process of using the tools.

Cons

some tasks are not always straight forward when it comes to working with parameters.

Pros

The people backing it! Also I love being able to Test/Dev components for free to make sure they actually help us solve our business problems, and then make a purchase only when we're ready to go to production

Cons

The error messages - for a software that is trying to smooth over the technical complexity of joining disparate data sources, it does not help to provide the raw error messages with no suggestions.

### "A happy Zappysys user"

I needed this tool in my BI tool bag. Once I have the data I can do anything with it, but sometimes getting it can be a problem. Zappysys peaked my interest in coding and I have decided to learn a whole new language because of it.

Pros

I came into API development without any experience. Zappysys got us off the ground for connecting to disparate data sources. The support has been wonderful and I wouldn't have been successful without it.

Cons

Learning Zappysys wasn't the easiest for me as API calls can be pretty complex and SSIS Powerpack took a little while to learn. Lucky for us we had the online instructions, videos and live support when needed.

Cons

I needed a support technician to assist when I couldn't make an API connection. They were quick to respond and easy to work with.

We are using SSIS PowerPack for SalesForce integration and calling third party APIs to download data in our environment. It works fine and hasn't had any issues to date.

Pros

It's super easy to set up and use, especially when you don't have any development experience. Anyone with basic SSIS skills can use their component. They're rich with features and functionality not available SSDT.

Cons

I haven't come across any cons of this application, which may be due to the limited use case we have in our environment.

Very easy to be installed and used!

Pros

It's very easy to install the solution. We had some problems with the firewall, but this where solved by our infrastructure team. Other problem, e.g. with collation, the support team from ZappySys helped pretty fast and competent to find the solution.

Cons

Until now, I haven't found any cons. But I'm still testing other features.
