November 21, 2024 5.0 Square Payments is a super easy software that allows you to take card payments and not have to always request cash. I find that the mini card reader makes it easy to travel to various bake sales, farmers markets, etc and accept payments with ease. Pros I love that Square Payments sent me a free card reader to attach to my charging port. This was super convenient as I am starting up my baking business and do not have to rely on getting cash. Pros I like that I can use Square to accept credit card payments or my small business with out having to set up an account with one of the major credit card processing companies. Easy one stop shop Cons I dislike the cost of the tap terminals and processing fees. Being able to take card payments increased my income exponentially and being able to add custom inventory items quickly was great as well. Pros Square makes it so easy to take mobile payments quickly and securely no matter where you are. The options for email or text receipts is very useful as well, and adding inventory items into the app is simple too. Cons I've never had an issue with Square where I've felt dissatisfied with the service. The rates are comparable to Stripe and other similar services. Being able to accept various forms of payments has increased the total amount of sales. Cons If there is a lag inbetween transactions, sometimes my reader goes to sleep.
