### "Transforming IT Operations through Automation: A 6-Year Journey with Endpoint Central"

March 23, 2026

5.0

As a Senior System & Cloud Engineer, my journey with Endpoint Central has seen us move from manual, siloed processes to a fully automated lifecycle management. The Value for Money is evident when you look at the $16.7k+ cost savings just from ticket reduction—and that’s not even counting the man-hours saved on manual patching and OS imaging. Deployment is rock solid; we’ve scaled to nearly 100 continuous automation tasks that keep our endpoints compliant without manual intervention. Customer Support (both Vitel and ME Global) has been consistently reliable when we hit complex edge cases. If you are looking for a tool that scales with your company’s growth and provides measurable ROI to management, this is it.

Pros

After using Endpoint Central for over 6 years at Kale Group, the most impressive aspect is its ability to decentralize IT support through the Self-Service Portal (SSP). To put it into perspective with hard data: in our environment, the SSP alone has handled 25,983 service tickets autonomously, resulting in a total time saving of 174 days. Beyond the SSP, the granular control we have over automated patch deployment and our library of 100+ custom automation configurations has transformed our operations from reactive to proactive. The ability to push complex software deployments and OS patches across diverse domains with high success rates is a cornerstone of our infrastructure's stability.

Cons

The interface is extremely feature-rich, which is great for power users but can be overwhelming for new technicians. Also, while the reporting engine is powerful, customizing SQL-based reports sometimes requires a deeper level of expertise than expected. However, considering the breadth of the ManageEngine ecosystem, these are minor trade-offs for the level of visibility and control you gain.

Reason for choosing ManageEngine Endpoint Central

The primary reason was the superior balance between deep automation capabilities and cost-effectiveness. Unlike Intune, which required additional complex layering for third-party patching at the time, Endpoint Central offered a 'single pane of glass' for both OS and 3rd-party updates out of the box. Additionally, the seamless, native integration with other ManageEngine products like Service Desk Plus and Password Manager Pro made it the logical choice for our existing ecosystem.

### "Endpoint Central Powers Our RRB Field Fleet – 42% Cheaper Than SCCM"

April 29, 2026

4.0

Transformed field sales chaos into RBI-audit-ready fleet. Patches 20K UPI-related endpoints before zero-days hit, self-service portal slashed helpdesk 60%. Perfect FortiGate companion—patches endpoints, FortiGate guards network. 9/10 for SMB Indian IT security teams chasing enterprise deals.

Pros

Value for Money shines—₹2 lakhs/year manages unlimited patching/deployment across Windows/Linux/Android for 15+ RRB sites, 80% cheaper than Microsoft Intune. Ease of Use is buttery—one dashboard enrolls Airtel eSIM laptops in 2 clicks, no PowerShell marathons. Device Management tracks USB usage preventing co-op bank data leaks, remote control flawless during Jio outages for TCS-SBI demos. Deployment took 1 hour cloud setup + GPO agent push. Customer Support rocks—Chennai chat resolves FortiClient clashes in 30 mins (India toll-free lifesaver). Endpoint Enrollment zero-touch Windows 11 upgrades cut tickets 60%.

Cons

Licensing maze confused RRB clients during renewals (per-endpoint vs. unlimited unclear). Custom UPI inventory reports need SQL dives, not drag-drop. MDM iOS could match Jamf polish for banking compliance.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing ManageEngine Endpoint Central

SCCM was bleeding us dry at ₹8 lakhs/year and couldn't handle our 200 field laptops during Jio monsoons. Intune quoted ₹3 lakhs annually but had zero Linux support for RRB server patching + weak offline capabilities—our Airtel eSIM laptops needed it. PDQ Deploy was cheap but lacked MDM for Android/iOS field BDM phones tracking UPI endpoints. Kaseya wanted enterprise pricing for SMB features we didn't need.

Switched from

[Microsoft Intune](https://www.capterra.com/p/230703/Microsoft-Endpoint-Manager-MEM/)

It was killing us at DigitalTrack—₹8 lakhs annual licensing bled cash, choked on 200 field laptops during Jio/Airtel outages, and took weeks for zero-day patches while FortiClient endpoints got hammered. Three RRB clients panicked during UPI gateway upgrades when SCCM missed critical patches. Endpoint Central's cloud + offline patching went live in 2 days, auto-patches Windows/Linux/third-party apps daily (95% compliance), and costs ₹2 lakhs/year—75% cheaper.

### "Efficient Endpoint Management with a Slight Learning Curve"

April 22, 2026

2.0

Overall, it’s been a reliable and efficient tool for managing endpoints. It simplifies routine IT tasks like patching, software deployment, and remote troubleshooting, though it takes some time to fully learn and optimize all its features.

Pros

Its centralized management made it easy to monitor, update, and secure all endpoints from a single console, saving time and reducing manual effort.

Cons

The interface can feel outdated and sometimes slow, and certain advanced features have a bit of a learning curve to configure properly.

### "Strong Patch Management and Endpoint Control Platform"

February 16, 2026

4.0

I am using Manage Engine endpoint central UEM and Security edition product since last 4-5 years and my overall experience with it is very good. In terms of centralised management, we do not require manual configurations with each endpoint, and we can do all the tasked from centralised console/server. Its gives immersive experience while working.

Pros

is the best tool which provided seamless centralised management for Endpoints. It provides industries best solution related to compliance. Patch Management, Vulnerability Management, Software distribution part are the best part of this product and they are doing great job.

Cons

Reporting issue comes sometimes, like after patch update, we can see the patch is updated at the endpoint side but on the manage engine portal side machine is still showing pending and syncing time taking too much. Like manage engine says 90 min refresh cycle it will sync but sometimes it takes more that its committed timeline. It should be improved. Deployment to the client of any software and patches also takes some time too much time.

### "Unmatched Endpoint Control with Powerful Remote Management"

April 27, 2026

5.0

has transformed how we manage our endpoint infrastructure. The platform delivers enterprise-grade control without enterprise-grade complexity. From day one, the System Control features gave us visibility we never had before — knowing exactly what's running on every machine, who's logged in, and what changes are happening in real time. Remote functionality has become indispensable for our team; we can resolve tickets faster without dispatching someone onsite. Direct-to-terminal access has saved us countless hours when deep system access is needed for troubleshooting. BitLocker recovery alone has paid for itself — being able to pull recovery keys instantly from the console instead of hunting through AD or local backups is invaluable. Deployment and enrollment were straightforward, and the endpoint management capabilities cover everything from patching to software distribution to USB device control. It's the kind of tool that makes an IT team significantly more effective and responsive.

Pros

The depth of endpoint management control is what sets EPC apart from everything else I've evaluated. System Control gives me granular visibility and command over every managed device. The remote functionality is rock-solid — I can troubleshoot and resolve issues from anywhere without needing physical access. Direct-to-terminal access is a game-changer for deep troubleshooting; it feels like sitting right at the endpoint. BitLocker recovery integration is seamless — retrieving keys and managing encryption policies from a central console eliminates what used to be hours of manual work. The ability to manage software deployment, patching, and device configurations from one platform significantly reduces overhead and keeps our environment secure and compliant.

Cons

The initial learning curve can be steep for teams that are new to enterprise endpoint management. Some advanced features require time to fully explore and configure properly. The reporting dashboard, while comprehensive, could benefit from more customizable widget layouts to suit different admin preferences. Occasional delays in agent check-in on endpoints with spotty connectivity can be frustrating, though this is more of a network limitation than a product flaw.

Alternatives considered

[Microsoft Intune](https://www.capterra.com/p/230703/Microsoft-Endpoint-Manager-MEM/)

Reason for choosing ManageEngine Endpoint Central

We chose EPC over Intune and Ivanti because it offered the best balance of features, cost, and ease of management. Intune required heavy Azure AD integration and licensing that didn't fit our hybrid environment. Ivanti was more expensive and had a steeper learning curve. EPC delivered the depth of endpoint control we needed — remote management, direct terminal access, BitLocker recovery, patch management, and compliance enforcement — all from a single, well-designed console at a competitive price point.

Switched from

[Microsoft Intune](https://www.capterra.com/p/230703/Microsoft-Endpoint-Manager-MEM/)

We switched from SCCM because we needed a cloud-ready, more lightweight solution that could handle remote management more effectively. SCCM was heavy on infrastructure requirements and lacked the remote functionality, direct-to-terminal access, and seamless BitLocker recovery that EPC provides. EPC gave us the same enterprise-level endpoint control with a much simpler deployment model and better support for our distributed environment.

### "Saves Time, Makes Life Easier"

March 20, 2026

5.0

I really like . everything is in one place, so managing device is super easy. It's easy to use saves a lot of time and worth it.

Pros

I liked how easy it is to manage multiple devices from one place. It just makes managing device way less stressful. patching and updates happen smoothly, so it's saved a lot of time. also, support is great, they're quick to respond and actually help you properly based on my own experience Software deployment and uninstallations are very easy. you can quickly access endpoint user inventory and remote tolls without any hassle. overall, it's great product and definitely value for money.

Cons

reporting could be improved with more customization option, when I create custom reports and select columns, the device count sometimes increases, which can be confusing, it becomes a bit difficult to explain this to client, and we can't always provide reports exactly as per their expectation.

I've been using it successfully for about 3 years to support 25 people across a statewide nonprofit. It has greatly helped to reduce support calls, and makes any necessary calls easier with system information and remote capabilities.

Pros

Cons

It has a confusing, disjointed interface. I'd prefer things focused by device not by the system's features.

### "Comprehensive On-Prem Endpoint Management with Strong Security and Operational Value"

December 22, 2025

4.0

Overall, our experience with has been very positive. It is a robust, stable, and well-integrated platform that effectively covers endpoint management, configuration management, software deployment, and MDM from a single console. It has improved operational efficiency, strengthened endpoint security, and provides strong value, particularly for organisations that prefer an on-premises, centrally managed solution.

Pros

What I liked most about is that it offers an on-premises deployment with one unified platform covering endpoint management, configuration management, software deployment, and MDM. Administration is straightforward and efficient, and the clear, well-structured documentation makes onboarding, operation, and troubleshooting easy for IT and security teams.

Cons

What I liked least was the requirement for manual profile installation on macOS devices, which requires direct IT team involvement. In addition, macOS administration has more limitations compared to other operating systems, which reduces automation and flexibility in managing Apple endpoints at scale.

### "Great so far"

March 3, 2026

3.0

It has been great so far. Using has streamlined our endpoint management processes significantly. The platform provides centralized control over patching, software deployment, asset management, and remote troubleshooting, which has reduced manual effort and improved overall efficiency. Its intuitive interface makes navigation simple, even for complex administrative tasks. Automation features help ensure systems stay updated and secure with minimal intervention. Reporting and analytics offer clear visibility into device health and compliance status. Overall, it has enhanced productivity, strengthened security posture, and made day-to-day IT operations far more manageable and consistent for our growing and dynamic organization overall.

Pros

The many features it has and how easy it is to get help from the support team. It is good value for money.

Cons

One of the main drawbacks we’ve experienced with is that the server can sometimes take time to communicate with laptops. This delay can affect real-time updates, patch deployments, and remote troubleshooting sessions, especially when devices are outside the corporate network or connected through slower internet connections.

### "Lots of features rolled in to a single product for a good value - None of them are best in class"

January 8, 2026

3.0

I feel the product is a good value for the cost but it lacks some features that you might find with other products. it rolls a lot of features in to a single product but some of the features are not very robust. We use it for configurations, inventory, vulnerability management, software deployment, and remote control of endpoints. It is a jack of all trades but master of none. There are few opportunities to customize anything to fit you needs.

Pros

It is somewhat more intuitive to use than other products we have used such as KACE. Support seems to be pretty responsive when submitting tickets. Server upgrades seem to be relatively straight forward. I like how there are reminders about security recommendations to ensure secure console configurations. The agent troubleshoot feature is helpful for diagnosing connectivity issues with the agent. The Threats and patching section has lots of useful vulnerability information that can help to prioritize missing updates. I like the system misconfigurations feature that makes mitigating vulnerabilities from misconfigurations simple. I think it is a decent value for the money but lacks some features that you can get from other products.

Cons

We have had problems with network congestion that we didn't have with other products. The product doesn't seem to handle massive configurations with large payloads a gracefully as KACE SMA. Many endpoints have delays due to bandwidth limitations. The automated scheduling isn't real intuitive and we've had issues with technicians misinterpreting how schedules will deploy patches so patches ultimately end up going out much later or not at all due to missed schedules. Endpoint DLP in its most basic license lacks any useful reporting. The software inventory misses reporting certain programs that exist on systems depending on how they are installed which makes management of those programs challenging. (For example: Sysmon). I have not found the documentation for the product to be very robust. I would like more technical details and caveats included in the support documentation. I would like for the inventory to have more flexibility for adding custom fields and custom reports. We have not found the remote control feature

### "Reliable, All-in-One Endpoint Management That Simplifies IT Operations"

March 3, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with has been positive. It’s a comprehensive and reliable endpoint management platform that brings key IT tasks together in one place, which makes managing devices much more efficient. The automation of patching and software deployment has noticeably reduced manual workload, and the remote support tools have helped resolve issues quickly without needing physical access. Reporting and inventory visibility are useful for tracking compliance and asset status. While setup and initial configuration require planning, the ongoing management experience feels streamlined and dependable for our business/company.

Pros

What I like most about is its all-in-one centralized management. Having patching, software deployment, remote control, and asset management in a single console significantly reduces tool sprawl and saves time. The automation, especially for OS and third-party patching, stands out because it minimizes manual effort while improving security compliance. It’s practical, efficient, and built with day-to-day IT operations in mind. We also receive great support from the Manage Engine team when we require assistance with something or request a certain feature. It certainly delivers value for money.

Cons

On MDM, the remote control feature for mobile devices is not stable needs alot of improvement. We end up having to use another prdocut such as Teamviewer host. 2. Having to manually add devices to the Bitlocker management policy everytime a new laptop is setup is also tedious. There shpuld be a way to automatically have this happen.

### "Good Tool for Managing Endpoints Easily"

March 4, 2026

5.0

My overall experience has been good so far. After using it for some time, it becomes easier to manage endpoints, install updates, and monitor devices. It has helped our team handle system maintenance more efficiently. I still feel there are some features to explore, but it is a useful tool for IT management.

Pros

What I like most is that it makes managing multiple computers much easier from one place. Patch management and software deployment are very helpful features for our daily IT tasks. The dashboard is simple to understand and remote troubleshooting saves a lot of time when users have issues. Overall it helps reduce manual work. The support team is responsive and helpful when resolving issues or answering configuration questions. And also the support articles and documentation on their website make it easier to find solutions when something goes wrong.

Cons

At the beginning it was a little confusing to understand all the features and settings. Some configurations take time to learn if you are new to the tool. The interface could be slightly more modern and some reports are not very customizable.

### "A Powerhouse for Windows Management with Room to Grow on macOS/Linux"

March 9, 2026

4.0

Overall, I am satisfied with Endpoint Central, as it effectively solves our core challenge of centralized management. It is a robust, cost-effective "Swiss Army knife" for IT administrators, particularly for organizations with a heavy Windows footprint. The automation of patch cycles alone makes it worth the investment. However, if your fleet is heavily composed of Macs or various Linux distributions, you might find yourself needing to supplement it with other tools or custom scripts to get the same level of granular control. It’s a solid 8/10 product that gets the job done reliably, provided you understand its platform-specific strengths and limitations.

Pros

shines especially when it comes to Windows ecosystem management. The level of control we have over Windows endpoints is impressive; from automated patch management to software deployment, everything feels intuitive and reliable. The "Configurations" module is a lifesaver for applying registry changes or managing local users across hundreds of machines without needing complex GPOs. Additionally, the remote control tool is very fast and stable, allowing us to troubleshoot user issues instantly. Having a single pane of glass for asset inventory and security patches for Windows has significantly reduced our manual workload

Cons

While the Windows side is excellent, the experience on macOS and Linux feels like it's a step behind. The feature parity isn't quite there yet; many advanced configurations and "System Manager" tools that we use daily for Windows are either missing or more limited on Mac and Linux agents. For instance, managing system-level settings or performing silent uninstalls on macOS can sometimes be more cumbersome than expected. The UI, while functional, can also feel a bit cluttered and "modularly glued together" at times, making the learning curve steeper for team members who are not managing Windows-only environments.

### "Manage Engine Review"

March 22, 2026

5.0

I believe it is a great software for organizations looking to save time and money when doing technical support, enforcing security policies or allowed software policies, vulnerability management, inventory and asset management, data loss prevention, OS deployment and bitlocker management.

Pros

As a sys admin manage engine makes my work easy hunting threats and patching vulnerabilities, while running a team of helpdesk support utilizes Remote Control to efficiently support users\[no need to walk to user workstations\] and ME allows me to deploy software or scripts witha few clicks to hundreds of devices at a go. Considering the volume of infrastructure I can manage within Manage Engine, I can confidently say, I have value for money. It meets my sys admin management needs perfectly.

Cons

Am yet to find some, but at times I feel when you manually patch vulnerabilities, the ME dashboard does not efficiently lower the count of vulnerabilities. Not unless the patches were initiated from ME patch management.

### "Efficient Endpoint Management with Strong Features, but Needs Improved Asset Synchronization"

April 6, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with has been quite positive, especially in terms of simplifying endpoint management through its centralized console and strong automation features. It has helped streamline patching, software deployment, and remote troubleshooting, making daily IT operations more efficient. However, one of the most challenging issues I’ve faced is with device synchronization, particularly when syncing assets with ServiceDesk Plus. If the synchronization is not handled properly, it can create duplicate asset entries based on hostname and serial number. Enabling synchronization using MAC address could help improve accuracy and reduce duplication, which would significantly enhance the overall asset management experience.

Pros

What I liked most about is its centralized and user-friendly platform that allows efficient management of Windows and macOS, I've never used it for linux machines. a Its strong automation capabilities for patching and software deployment significantly reduce manual effort while improving overall security. Additionally, the remote troubleshooting features and detailed asset management provide excellent visibility and quick issue resolution, making day-to-day IT operations much smoother.

Cons

I liked least about is that some advanced configurations and reporting features can be complex and not very intuitive, requiring additional time to understand. At times, the UI can feel slightly outdated, and performance may slow down when handling a large number of endpoints. Additionally, initial setup and fine-tuning of policies can be time-consuming, especially in larger environments. One of most important thing which also troubleing lot, the machines syncnorization, the machines update the asset in SDP with hostname and serialnumber but if it not synced properly then it creates duplicate entries, so if you also enable the asset sync with MAC address then may be it will fetch the accurate asset details insteated of duplicates.

### "Exceptional Patch Management"

April 8, 2026

5.0

I love how many uses I have for Endpoint Central. The basic device info like IP addresses and last reboot times help to solve issues before even contacting users. Pushing security patches is as easy as possible. It’s been a great tool for reporting on inventory and office/remote work locations. The remote screen share is fantastic. I used the patch management tool for Windows 10-11 upgrades, and it worked near flawlessly. What took 5 minutes to set up saved me hundreds of phone calls and labor hours had it been done manually on each device.

Pros

Automating software updates. Some of our software requires admin privileges to install, and this takes away the tickets, calls, and remote sessions. It saves me so much time. I also use this to send out security updates every week. I get notifications about critical patches, and can send them out by device or user in minutes.

Cons

Sometimes the agent stops working on active devices. Uninstallation and reinstallation can get tricky, and occasionally requires a complete reset of the device.

### "Effective Endpoint Management with ManageEngine Endpoint Central"

April 17, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with has been very positive. It is a reliable and comprehensive endpoint management solution that simplifies day‑to‑day IT operations by centralizing patch management, remote support, software deployment, and asset tracking in a single platform. The interface is well organized, and the remote troubleshooting capabilities are especially effective in resolving user issues quickly. While some advanced features require a brief learning period, the tool proves to be highly efficient once familiar. Overall, it has significantly improved endpoint visibility, operational efficiency, and system compliance.

Pros

What I liked most about was its all‑in‑one endpoint management capability. It brings together patch management, software deployment, remote troubleshooting, asset management, and security controls in a single console, which makes daily administration much more efficient. The remote control feature is particularly useful for quick issue resolution without disrupting end users. I also appreciated its user‑friendly interface and well-structured dashboard, which helps in monitoring endpoint health and compliance easily. Overall, it significantly reduces manual effort and improves endpoint visibility and control across the organization.

Cons

One area where could improve is the initial learning curve for some of the more advanced features, as they may take a bit of time to become fully familiar with. Occasionally, navigating through multiple options can feel slightly detailed, especially for first‑time users. That said, once accustomed to the platform, these aspects become easier to manage, and they do not significantly impact the overall effectiveness of the solution.

### "Endpoint Central Review"

January 12, 2026

5.0

Overall is a powerful tool to manage patches, software and endpoints. It is possible to easily access all hardware, software, firmware and end of life from each device with a few clicks.

Pros

Really complete solution that helps manage vulnerabilites and patch managed, used actively to keep endpoints secure and up to date without administator action needed. Customer support is always available and is quick to respond to queries and reported issues. It helps to manage mobile equipment with the MDM function, enabling the user of kioks on those devices. It takes a little time to get used to the interface, but after some time it get simpler. Patch and software depoyment is easier on multiple devices, it removes the need from going to each machine and install it.

Cons

Server update is not seamless, when server is updated some agents lose contact to the server and have to be manually installed.
