February 5, 2025 1.0 Wir waren vor Navan beim Anbieter Comtravo. Dieser hat unsere Anforderungen und Bedarfe vollumfänglich bedient, wir waren zufrieden. Dann wurde Comtravo vom Navan aufgekauft, zu diesem Zeitpunkt hieß die Firma noch TripActions. Ein Unternehmen aus den USA, die sich auch auf dem europäischen Markt als Geschäftsreisebuchungsportal etablieren wollten. Ab dem Moment der Übernahme war es eine Katastrophe. Das Portal war viel schlechter aufgebaut, bot einige notwendige Funktionen und Filtermöglichkeiten nicht, die Abbildung von Firmenraten zog sich unendlich hin, die Kostenübernahmen haben regelmäßig nicht funktioniert. D.h. der Reisende stand im Hotel und musste selbst zahlen. Die danach folgende Korrektur mit navan war zäh und zeitaufwendig. Eine Mitarbeiterin in der Buchhaltung war fast ausschließlich für die Bearbeitung der navan Abrechnungen und Korrekturen zuständig. Es wurde immer versprochen, dass es nur Startschwierigkeiten sind. Doch je mehr Beschwerden unsererseits kamen, desto weniger kam von den Ansprechpartnern bei navan zurück, bis wir schließlich komplett ignoriert wurden und wir daraufhin den Anbieter gewechselt haben, was die beste und einzig richtige Entscheidung war. Pros Ausschließlich der Preis. 5 Euro pro Buchung pauschal. Aber das schlägt sich in der Qualität wieder. Siehe unter Nachteile. Cons Der Umgang mit Kunden. Bei Problemen wird nicht geholfen. Die Hotline hilft bei Problemen und bietet kaum Unterstützung. Bei buchhalterischen Fragen das Gleiche. Falsch ausgestellte Rechnungen, falsche Währungen, falsche Steuerabzüge, die auch nach fast 2 Jahren, in denen wir nicht mehr Kunde sind, noch immer nicht korrigiert wurden. Seit 1,5 Jahren senden wir einmal im Monat eine Mail an einen maximal großen Verteiler, jedoch werden diese Anfragen ignoriert. Oder falls eine Rückmeldung kommt, wird zugesagt sich um das Thema zu kümmern, aber erhält anschließend kein Lebenszeichen mehr. Es wurde am Anfang viel versprochen, aber nicht umgesetzt. Pros Es ist eine sehr einfach gehaltene Oberfläche und die Ladezeiten sind schnell was ich als sehr angenehm empfinde Cons Negative Punkte sind mir bei der Anwendung von Navan nicht wirklich aufgefallen außer, dass ich beim Passwort zurücksetzen etwas Probleme hatte. Its great to easily see the upcoming flights and trips you have, along with the rewards and what they can do for you. Pros Its very simplistic. Its user interface is very simple to whomever is using it. It allows you to easily see various flights and trips you have upcoming. I also very much appreciate the notifications on when to check in and any upcoming changes for flights. It was not reliable for finding low cost flights and it also requires in process approval which delays the booking. Instead of embedding company rules, it requires each manager to approve in the app, and by the time that happens the cost has changed. Pros Nothing. This app consistently selected more expensive and less convenient flights. I always shared a screenshot with management to show that I was saving money by NOT using the Navan app. Cons This app is highly inconsistent and usually selects inconvenient and most importantly, higher cost flights. Navan makes submitting requests and manager approvals a breeze. I highly recommend them to any organization with teams traveling regularly in the field. Pros Travel support. If last minute changes needed to take place for flights, they would handle all if arrangements easily in a timely manner. Cons There were times that rental car pricing would show a low daily rate but when i would get the rental car, pricing would be 3x - 5x the daily rate. After this happened a couple of times, I only used specific rental companies. Navan support said they had no control over displayed pricing for rental cars at the time. Review Source SH Sameh H. The platform is very easy to use both in a browser or using their app, with an intuitive interface that makes booking flights, hotels, and transportation seamless. It is efficient, saving me time and reducing the hassle of booking business travel. Pros What I like most is the interface. It is very easy to use, and makes booking travel and accommodation stress free. The various promotions and offers that appear are also a benefit, especially when booking business travel gives you rewards for your next trip. Cons The only thing that has caused frustration is when travelling with another traveller. This happens when booking a trip. You are required to enter traveller details, even when searching for hotels, which is a little annoying. I'd like to be able to search for hotels for multiple travellers before needing information to book. Cons I sometimes get a bit lost where things are, it doesn't always follow the most logical user journey. The UI is great as it is very simple to use and very user friendly as well. Navan is a very intuitive travel and spend platform all in one solution. Cons The only con I have noticed is that sometimes the search for travel or hotel will not populate the full list of options versus if you are looking at google flights or agencies like Expedia, you get more options and sometimes with better pricing. Some trips are booked via Navan, some are booked elsewhere due to pricing. Pros Ease of use and nice UI/UX. Many booking options and expenses categories. Cons You are stuck only with Navan booking options, some areas and destinations can be incredibly expensive for now reason if booking via the app. Fees are everywhere so watch out and monitor for the best deal there is in the app. we did not use Navan for several trips due to these concerns. Not only have they created more problems than they solved, they are hard to work with, dishonest, and overly priced. Pros That employees could book and have charges go onto the company card, cut back on employees having to use their own cards and get reimbursed. Cons Cost of product. Higher than all of the others we reached this year in our attempt to find a better product.None of the books are actually discounted as they sold us on. Not only can our employees book the same rooms/flights cheaper going to Expedia, Priceline, or directly withe the hotel/airline, but we get charged for using Navan to book as well. One of their biggest selling points was we'd save money with the discounts they get. We don't.Customer service is definitely lacking. They have never been able to solve any problems, in fact they do a lot of back pedaling and changing receipts on the website to cover their tracks when something goes wrong. Have double charged us on multiple occasions, very difficult to get refunded without going to the credit card company. Pros I like TripActions' modern user interface and dashboard because it simplifies the implementation of operations with sufficient flexibility, especially when executing flight and hotel reservations during external missions. TripActions allows us to put all these operations under strict control and ensure that appropriate offers are obtained and that the budget is not exceeded. Due to its close connection with the cloud, this gives us greater freedom to download data and access records at any time, especially since we use it a lot through the mobile app, which allows us to easily scan receipts and invoices and empty the data from them automatically and send it to the direct official, as well as track its status and know the exchange dates. I like how my phone notifies me of all movements at a given time, especially money transfers. Cons TripActions is a basic application that doesn't demand a lot of professional time. I had no problems using it, and I recommend it to everyone.
