### "FIGHTING CYBERWARS - AND WITH WIX, EVENTUALLY WINNING!"

March 23, 2026

4.0

It was pretty good up until three nights ago when I started experiencing major challenges, simply trying to connect an external (google) email address. We could not get it connected, even though working with 'help', and in the process managed to mess a few things screwed up. Thankfully with the patient assistance of Claudia, one of their experts, managed to resolve eventually. And with Bond today, hopefully got the last step done - of linking my google email address. Holding thumbs! lol

Pros

The ease with which the system works, once you get to know how it works. Took a bit of a learning curve, but under WIX expert help, eventually won through!

Cons

The learning process to work out how to navigate around the space. At first, did not seem intuitive, and some of the functions which I was let to tarsnpire, did not do as I was led to believe they would. A bit of a steep learning curve

### "Switch to Wix and get rid of your shady web developer"

March 13, 2026

5.0

Overall experience with Wix has been outstanding. I can manage everything myself. Web developers are shady. If you don't speak their language, they'll take advantage of you. With Wix, I barely have to deal with them anymore. I keep a guy on retainer for major stuff, but today I was able to resolve my issue with your customer support rep. I didn't need to call the developer.

Pros

I've used WordPress, GHL, pretty much every CRM platform and/or web design platform. They're complicated and require a full-time developer. Wix has all the necessary features and I am able to manage it entirely myself. The reason web developers recommend other platforms is because they require coding and expertise. I'm a chiropractor and I can manage everything within my Wix account. And if I can't, I hop on a chat and they walk me through it. I just got off a chat with \[sensitive content hidden\] . Spent 15 min with him and he fixed my email issue in addition to cleaning up my email list to improve deliverability.

Cons

I don't like some of the a la cart stuff. I just had to buy additional social media posts. It wasn't expensive, but it was annoying.

Too complicated. I had to rely on my developers. With Wix, I don't have to.

### "Wix is meh"

April 13, 2026

2.0

We loved WIX when we started the buisness however, there are so many features that could be improve. We purchased all of the "add ons" had all the "premium" packages and yet, we constantly struggled and had no actual solutions presented to us by customer service. Wix is good for a small startup company but eventually, a company grows out of WIX and it is SUCH a struggle to transfer.

Pros

I liked how customers can directly buy from the webpage. I also liked the organization of the software and the general ease of use. Working on the website was extreamly easy. I could make edits to our website without needing any knowledge of "coding" or anything like that. If I were just rating WIX as a website base id give it 5 stars.

Cons

Wix has the absolute worst customer service. We purchased an already established company through WIX and we had such a hard time figuring out why certain things were happening (ex. not being receving payouts that use to live under the old owners EIN). To get a hold of customer support we had to know exactly what to ask the AI Chat bot (if we didn't it would send us in a loop of looking at diffrent articles) or where to look for a very hidden customer support button (which is the only way to talk to an actual human). After figuring out how to contact customer support, we wanted to change how some SOP functioned (EX. payouts kept going to the old owners instead of us even after we transfered ownership) and were meet with "you have to contact each customer individually and reset their payment so you can recive that money". We have over 400 clients. We also tried to get a straight answer on how much we pay for operating on WIX (Subscriptions, emailing add-ons, user add-ons, surcharges, etc) and there was just no way for anyone to answer. It came to a point that there was so many issues we finally made the choice to just switch to something other than wix for our subscribers. We will however, be keeping WIX as our website operator

### "Best website builder I'v ever used. "

February 2, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Wix has been very positive. It makes it easy to build and manage websites for all of my brands while still making each one look professional, unique, and high-quality. The platform is intuitive, flexible, and lets me move fast without sacrificing design or branding.

Pros

The customer support agent was awesome! What I liked most about Wix is how it balances creative freedom with usability. The platform makes it easy to build visually rich, modern websites while still offering advanced customization through tools like Velo, custom code embeds, and flexible layout controls. It allows me to move fast without sacrificing design quality or performance, which is critical when working with clients.

Cons

Pricing could be better. The main downside is pricing. Some essential features are locked behind higher-tier plans, which can add up quickly—especially when managing multiple client sites. While the value is there, clearer bundling or more flexible pricing options for professionals would make the platform even better.

### "My Wix Experience"

March 31, 2026

4.0

I have been using Wix for many years, and has improved over time. It is great for non-coders. It can be improved in highlighting the errors before publishing a page. It shows the error on the lower screen for codes, but it would help to hightlight where the errors are on the page being displayed.

Pros

My ability as a non-coder, the features take time to understand, but they work with ease as you become knowledgable with the desktop and the mobile settings.

Cons

The offers for new apps and their marketing for additional subscriptions, even if I am already using them, tend to pop up. This may cause billing issues, when you accidently add on the same subscription for apps.

### "Best Customer Service!"

April 12, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Wix has been strong. It provides a streamlined, all-in-one platform for website creation, branding, and business management. It has allowed me to launch and manage my projects efficiently, though I’ve noticed some limitations as my needs become more advanced.

Pros

What I liked most about Wix is its user-friendly interface combined with powerful design flexibility. It allows me to create a professional-looking website, manage content, and handle business tools all in one place without needing advanced technical knowledge.

Cons

What I liked least about Wix is that once you choose a template, it’s difficult to switch without rebuilding parts of the site. Also, some settings and features are not always easy to find, which can slow down the workflow.

10 out of 10 service and product. The help team and the AI agents are super helpful in a pinch. I love the ease of use and the products.

### "WIX is a WINNER"

March 26, 2026

5.0

Pros

It's been 20 years since I did any website design. I was looking for a quick way to get a small not-for-profit site up and running. Adobe Express and Google Sites were easy enough but lacked the polish for more than landing sites...I tried WIX and in a few days I have a really nice looking site that will grow with future expansion. I had a hiccup and had to reach out to WIX online chat support. \[sensitive content hidden\] stayed with me through diagnosis and correction of the problem. Great company, great product and great customer service.

Cons

My understanding is the website will only work in the WIX world. If I wanted to move to another hosting service, I would have to redesign the site from scratch. That is one of the reasons I started with WordPress (both com and org), but WIX is so much simpler for the beautiful product...at least for me.

### "Wix is an excellent digital growth tool not only a website builder."

February 13, 2026

5.0

This is the main platform I have chosen for my agency, after many years working with many from its competitors. Wix standouts in terms of ease of use, tech depth and updates that continuously focus on improving the features they offer.

Pros

Τhe flexibility, the continuous improvement and the ability to resolve any issues fast. Custom Coding capabilities of the platform have also being improving steadily.

Cons

That some customizations are still difficult to do, like complex ecommerce logic, or custom payment getaways connection, but in general I am very happy with Wix.

I was frustrated of the dev costs, the working hours we spend on making simple updates but most important was the security issues and the problem with the plugins. Also design flexibility and speed of deployment was subpar comparing to wix.

### "WIX is the "Poster Child" for Customer Service!"

January 22, 2026

5.0

Every time, the overall experience with WIX is 10 out of 10. I deal with other digital marketing technology suppliers, and they can't measure up to WIX when it comes to customer service.

Pros

I'm a large user of WIX products and I can tell you that their strong customer service is as big of a reason for that as the website design software. I feel WIX should write the book on top quality customer service across the board. With my many clients, I've relied on the service experts more than I can count and every time a solution was made. They care about your needs, every time!

Cons

The AI Customer Care system can tend to drag on with no real solution, but articles you can read. Most of my needs are more specific than an article topic.

Alternatives considered

[WordPress](https://www.capterra.com/p/131687/WordPress/)

### "Awesome versatility of application and real human tech support"

January 17, 2026

5.0

Great! I've had to rebuild my entire website because the last company I was using for years switched everything to be run by AI. And it crashed my search engine position. And just about killed my business entirely. Coming over to WIX was a challenge because I had to start over from scratch. But there are so many more options with WIX than with their competitors. It's a little mind blowing. In a good way. There's a bit of a learning curve. But I don't mind it at all. It makes me a better business owner.

Pros

I'm amazed at the versatility of what is available. I also am extremely satisfied with their customer and tech support. Unlike other companies that are using AI in place of actual human beings. I don't spend hours as their AI test subject while my online business goes down the tubes. They have actual knowledgeable people there to help.

Cons

It takes time to learn the system because there's a lot there. But that's not a bad thing really. Other companies have dumbed things to a point that the applications don't function well. I'm grateful that I have the option of learning this application and that it actually does what is sets out to do.

Alternatives considered

[Squarespace](https://www.capterra.com/p/143461/Squarespace/)

Reason for choosing Wix

I've used WIX briefly in the past. And their web design program was less restrictive.

Switched from

They are running everything with AI now. And they didn't bother to test it out to see what would happen. It crashed my search engine listings by the way AI is not posting the URL. It's bad. And you can't really speak to a person. Their tech support never gets back to you. Even when you outline what the problem in and how to fix it. They just ignore you. They want you to spend $700 a month with their consulting people to fix their destruction of your business by what they've done to your online presence.

### "Could Be Great, They Always Stop Short"

December 28, 2025

3.0

Up and down. Have been ready to switch to Shopify many, many times, but stopped short because right when I was about to switch over Wix would pull out just enough new features to keep me on. Think I'm finally making the switch away though. I've had enough patchwork. It's good, but only if you're doing about $100k revenue, past that, it's underpowered.

Pros

It has improved greatly over time. It's drag and drop features are excellent for creating websites. The graphic creation is pretty powerful. It's marketing ability is pretty lackluster, but the value for the dollar is pretty good. Page layouts are not bad for the default and can be customized quite extensively.

Cons

The customer support is usually awful. We used to have a dedicated rep that helped us out, then they took that away when they downsized. Regardless of how big your company gets the amount of service does not get better. You're always trying to patchwork things together because a lot of the tools are fairly basic. They are good tools, they just stop short of where you need them. The absolute worst is when they push backend updates, they don't alert you to them, and it breaks your site while you're driving traffic to your site to the tune of thousands of dollars. Not good, not good at all. This has happened multiple times and all they gave us was a two month subscription credit.

Frustrating before today. My customer service rep \[sensitive content hidden\] gave me some hope and gave me faith that WIX may just work for me.

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\]!!! OMG...thank you so much. It is so frustrating when you are trying to do changes on your website. AI and auto answers are incomplete and/or incorrect. \[sensitive content hidden\] was AMAZING!! ### "Great Service to Start Your Web Presence"

November 8, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience has been good and I've found ways to work around issues between using products and building custom sections in the CMS. With the combination of these two options, I've been able to build several successful web sites.

Pros

Wix is a great solution for businesses starting to build their web presence without the need to invest in a costly solution. The ability to build pages and adjust the layout with predefined sections makes site building easy for even a novice user.

Cons

As a more advanced user, sometimes there are limitations in the ability to customize specific sections of the platform. This can be seen with listing products for sale and not being able to set custom settings - for instance, "call for pricing" versus having to list a price.

### "I'm Learning!"

October 18, 2025

5.0

Most help is good from support staff and if its possible to do it on the WIX platform I find that the customer support is able to help me. There are things that it can not do, and often my answers are this is not possible at this time, but I'm hopeful these things will be implemented as often some features can be voted for. I can't compare WIX to any other platforms as its the only one I've used. The very recent new AI Assistants have been great for me personally and really changed my experience with WIX altogether for the better. I would love better design options - for people who are not so computer savvy as templates can be a little boring with themes - I see all these design aspects being advertised on WIX adverts but can't see how to update my own WIX website to incorporate them and I'm scared to lose things by trying.

Pros

I am happy with how WIX is constantly improving their platform with new AI assistants as I am not that computer literate and need to be able to design my own website, do updates and changes. Things that it doesn't do can be voted for which is good too.

Cons

I do find it a little difficult to work with - like for example deciding something isn't what I want seems to have to be implemented first and then when I see it and think oh no thats not what I want and then sometimes its not so easy to undo or delete it again I would like better previews of some elements and design features so that I do not have to put them on my website to see if I want them - I can see an example clearly of what it will do BEFORE I drop it on my website and change everything. I find some of the menu's a little confusing and can't find things often and have to ask the AI Assistants where these functions are so that I can click on them and go to where I need to go to do things. Some things are actually complicated unless going through them with someone who knows what they are doing too, I've just spent an hour on chat support now with someone who was brilliant but at the end of it - its no wonder I couldn't do it myself - it was complicated and difficult to setup. But I know it was something many WIX stores outside America would want and will also need to setup now that tariffs are introduced to the USA. So you will get a lot of people wanting to do what I just did today. (Set up a function for US deliveries to charge tariffs on subtotals for orders). I'd LOVE for an AI Design Assistant that can look at a website that I would like my own website to look like and change it to look this way OR even some aspect of a website ie - be able to say on opening I want my website to show a video that works across all devices and resizes that I can change and upload periodically to keep my website changing with the seasons and update myself, with a slideshow of images and things that can also be put up so I can have a video, click left or right to slide to a photo or 10 slides etc but I can't see options for this - I have slideshow on my website home page currently now but it doesn't really work properly - it doesn't resize on all devices as it should and on mobile phone its very problematic!! I'm constantly deleting things and layouts to try and make it work on the mobile view - which as we all know is majority of how people are shopping these days not on the computer but on the mobile phone - so really important!

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Wix

cheaper and thats the only reason - I've sometimes wondered if I should have gone with SHOPIFY as there are sometimes issues with WIXs integration - most of the time SHOPIFY is there as an option for linking other platforms but its not often WIX is there.

### "Better than Shopify?"

Pros

Wix is an excellent choice for anyone wanting to build their own e-com store with little to no coding required. The ease of setup and design all the way through to order fulfilment is an absolute breeze.

### "A Platform That Thinks With You"

March 27, 2026

5.0

I liked that Wix feels less like software and more like a creative space. Instead of forcing you to adapt to it, it adapts to how you think and build. The experience felt fluid, which made the process surprisingly enjoyable rather than task-oriented. What I appreciated most about Wix was how effortlessly it balances structure and freedom—you’re guided, but never boxed in. That’s a rare combination.

Pros

What stood out to me most about Wix was how it quietly removes the intimidation from building a website. It doesn’t just give you tools; it kind of anticipates what you’re trying to do and smooths the path. I also liked how it lets creativity lead without constantly reminding you of technical limits.

Cons

At times, the platform felt almost too open-ended—without clear boundaries, small design decisions started taking more time than expected.

### "Cheers for Wix for Website Success!"

December 1, 2025

5.0

I have used Wix for myself, but most recently for clients that I am working with that were looking for a dependable and friendly platform. I always recommend Wix when they need business and marketing tools and was a good value for their money

Pros

Wix offers a website that has a variety of features you want in a website. It's ease of use makes it attractive for all levels of users, not matter what your skillset is. Simple and clear page layouts mean that your pages get done and published. And if they don't you can easily connect with a customer service.

Cons

While Wix is simple and easy to use, one can outgrow it when their business needs become more in-depth. (But that is a good problem to have and Wix seems to always be improving so that may not be an issue for most.)

### "It functions and hasn't broken my website"

January 14, 2026

5.0

It saves me from spending hours writing code in react etc. I used to spend 40 hours and now I spend 10 hours so I can leave work earlier. the seo management is built into the platform so I do not have to purchase additional tools. marketers can change their own content without messing up my layouts which is crazy. it allows my clients to bridge the gap between hiring a full developer team.

Pros

I am working out of this squeaky chair right now and I need to wrap this up asap before my next call. If I mess up the design (which I always do) I can restore everything with two clicks thanks to the backups. It does not seem like a standard drag and drop tool and to be honest, their uptime has been exactly what they said it would be.

Cons

The 60 max cms field limit is a complete disaster when you start to build large projects. I am sick of dealing with this, I had to refactor an entire site three different times due to these ridiculous field limits, which is why I almost quit. How can I create a dropdown that fills the screen without some "hack" (100vw etc)? It cost way too much money now and they continue to raise the price by 20% each year with absolutely no explanation for the increase.

October 5, 2025

4.0

My overall experience with Wix has been remarkable - it has enabled me to not only create websites but also help design logos at ease.

Pros

Wix facilitates all the features that allow me to create stunning and highly responsive websites. It has improved the SEO ranking of my staffing company website across search engines.

Cons

The cost of acquiring some products such as domain registration and hosting is a bit costly compared to alternative digital experience programs.

### "Satisfied with Wix for many years!"

January 14, 2026

5.0

I have been with Wix for several years and have a lot of websites with them. I am now just getting into a premium website for what I am launching as a business.

Pros

The all-in-one features after building a website so I can do everything from within wix to emails, domain, ads. Chat feature for customer support worked out great! Fast solutions. Wix templates are easy to use since I don't have coding or HTML experience.

Cons

Maybe a little less on the cost would help. I have been an entrepreneur and with each startup I like to save on cost. The sale on premium helped as all of a sudden it was 50% off so I can next consider an annual plan instead of monthly.
