### "Canva: Simple and Free, but the Pro version is worth the $"

January 20, 2026

5.0

Canva has been a time saver for me. I can easily create a month's worth of content to help promote events for our non-profit.

Pros

Canva is extremely easy to use. Drag and Drop. Searchable elements with graphics, photos, videos, and more! Lots of free elements but paying for a Pro subscription is worth it for the additional content. If you're not creative, you can view graphics or videos made by someone else and tweak it to your own liking. I love how easy it is to edit the background in an image. If you have multiple people working on a project, it is simple to collaborate on it virtually. Canva also integrates well with other programs. I use it with Constant Contact and Yodeck.

Cons

While there are many elements in the free and pro subscription, I wish they either updated them more often or made it so you can sort the elements by date of creation so it makes it easier to use new items.

### "Creative design and team collaboration for publishers"

November 12, 2025

5.0

Canva has made the creation of visual content effortless, helping us to keep a polished image and enhance engagement for the journal. Team collaboration means designs get done faster and with less waiting on external designers.

Pros

Canva lets me and my team produce professional-looking graphics with speed for articles, social posts, and newsletters. Its rich features and simple interface make collaboration with all levels of users-even new hires who aren't designers-easy.

Cons

Customer support is slow when it comes to account problems, and some features require you to pay if you want advanced editing. File export and sharing settings could be more flexible to better suit teamwork beyond basic design work.

### "Intuitive, Great for Both Beginners and Professionals"

March 25, 2026

5.0

Pros

Canva is very intuitive for beginners, but still offers advanced design and photo editing features for more experienced users. I once introduced the free version of Canva to a class of high schoolers who were able to create complex slides within 20 minutes of first using it. The free version offers plenty of features for beginners looking to design slide shows, flyers, brochures, websites, stickers, and pretty much any other visual you can think of. Canva works well with collaboration for groups too. Multiple people can work on a file at the same time with live updates.

Cons

The free version is understandably much more limited than the paid version. As a newly graduated college student, it is difficult to pay for Canva.

### "Accessible et facile pour tout le monde"

January 25, 2026

5.0

Pros

### "Canva, an awesome tool for easy and creative content creation."

November 24, 2025

5.0

Great! I use it almost daily for content creation and for sharing content like videos, job aids and flyers for team review.

Pros

I like how many applications it has that helps to create content in very easy way. The user interface and screen makes it easy to navigate the different tools. I like the video editing/creation capabilities.

Cons

I wish the photo editing or image manipulation was a little more robust. The same with the video editing. Its good right now for basic video and image manipulation but it would be nice to see it expanded.

### "Effortless Design for Everyday Marketing"

February 13, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Canva has been very positive. It makes creating presentations, social posts, and marketing materials fast and accessible, even without advanced design skills.

Pros

What I like most about this product is how quickly it turns ideas into polished visuals. The templates, drag-and-drop tools, and brand kit make it easy to create consistent designs without advanced skills.

Cons

Some advanced editing features feel limited compared to professional design tools, and managing large numbers of files or folders can become messy as projects and teams grow.

### "Canva Review"

July 1, 2025

4.0

I used canva for several years and really enjoyed my experience with them. However over the past year I have switched from a paid to free account due to the changes in pricing, features, and overall management

Pros

Canva is generally easy and intuitive to use. It has a lot of great templates and features that allow for quick and easy creation of images, videos, and slides.

Cons

I dislike that they've added AI features, don't seem to screen the uploaded artwork as there have been instances of stolen work in their collection, and the changing pricing and feature structures

### "Canva: Versatilidad y eficiencia."

April 3, 2025

4.0

### "The go-to design and creative tool for non-designers"

May 2, 2025

5.0

Excellent tool for the average design user. Makes it easy for non-specialists to create professional looking content.

Pros

User-interface: Canva seems to be the inspiration for other design interfaces, which demonstrates its revolutionary design space for non-design specialists. Templates: Lots of templates for different purposes and channels to choose from for the paid version. The free version offers a wide range of templates too but you'll need to spend time going through the list. The free and paid templates aren't sorted. Graphics: The availability of a wide range of graphics for various types of designs you are creating. AI-Generated Images: This is an interesting feature as it feels like an image generation roulette sometimes, as with most other AI image generation tools. Sharable files: You can share slides directly from the platform and track views/engagement. Simple pricing model and affordable: Reasonable annual pricing and I hope they remain that way for non-enterprise customers to cater to individuals, hobbyists and small businesses. Brand templates: I like the versatility of being able to use brand colours, font and themes and ability to save designs as templates on Canva.

Cons

Difficult to find fault with Canva unless you are a graphic design specialist used to creating designs with more precision and flair, then this might not be for you. Limited features for the free version. Video export quality can be patchy. It sometimes distorts the original video (from Riverside) on export.

### "Canva is a must have for Creative Professionals!"

June 12, 2025

5.0

I use Canva for everything, this software is very multi-functional. I was able to use it for some of my creative projects where I used Teams to quickly share graphic designs with my team. It is great and user-friendly!

Pros

I like being able to create and build websites. This feature helped me create professional portfolio websites that helped me land projects. It didn’t take me very long to do it, so I created different portfolio sites for each individual job I what I was applying for. I also love their Docs. I used Canva to put together a children’s book I published on Amazon.

Cons

Some of the AI features are still in the infant stage. There were a lot of hallucinations in the image creation part. But, as I use it I can tell they are constantly updating it and making it better.

### "Absolutely love and recommend Canva, professional and personal."

May 8, 2025

5.0

I absolutely love this software. It has made me more open to using AI and more open to using design templates and such, since I can customize almost everything as I wish, including colors of some objects you wouldn't think you could

Pros

I love the simplicity of the interface. I have been able to use a lot of features to help me build my brands for work. I don't pay for software too often but I definitely keep my Canva pro when I can afford to. I like the AI features too but they still need to come a little ways. Definitely a very user friendly interface.

Cons

I would like a little more leeway in the photo and video editing but for the most part, I have not found a part of Canva I've been unhappy with.

Reason for choosing Canva

I was not impressed with many of their features. Linking is important and there are some places you just can't do that. And their cost is significantly higher.

### "Great for simple projects, not so much for complex print ready files."

May 6, 2025

4.0

Useful tool for everyday needs os a small business. Great for simple stuff, for more complex design projects I would use more professional software. Free version is limited, but it gets difficult when doing something for print.

Pros

It has a lot of options for people who have no access to Adobe products, and it has quite intuitive customer panel and very useful options. Best thing for me is set up sizes for social media posts as they are changing all the time.

Cons

If you are used to professional design software, this one is limited. Not a lot is available in free version, not as flexible as professional tools.

Alternatives considered

[Adobe Creative Cloud](https://www.capterra.com/p/48969/Adobe-Creative-Cloud/)

Reason for choosing Canva

I didn't, I use the alternatives as well as Canva depending on who I work with (professional designer or non-professional designer like business owner who wants to do thing himself)

Switched from

[GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program)](https://www.capterra.com/p/168960/GIMP/)

More options and useful image sizes. Also canva is way more user friendly and easier to learn for non-professionals

### "Accessible, collaborative design software, limited professional print capabilitiesf"

May 12, 2025

5.0

I create and share templates for my clients. Our agency works on websites, branding projects and print marketing pieces. When we complete the work, it's amazing to be able to share the templates and some clear instructions on how to use them. Clients love that they can work inside of an accessible tool and not have to reach out to us for every little update.

Pros

I like that multiple team members and clients can be within a document at one time. It helps to have an online tool when a large or complex presentation or brochure is being created.

Cons

As a professional designer, it can be frustrating to have to work within the Canva constraints. It doesn't have color mode control or layout controls in the same ways Adobe products do. If you're creating a document for print, the working color mode is RGB and there aren't clear ways to set page margins, bleeds or automatic page numbering. Stick to digital uses if your brand is worried about color management.

### "Greta 2025 Canva Review"

May 23, 2025

5.0

Like I said, Canva is my absolute favorite. Growing up I always wanted to master Photoshop, but I was often discouraged because I couldn't remember all of the keyboard shortcuts and could never figure out what tool I was supposed to use to get the results I wanted.

Pros

I am a massive Canva fan! I use it for any and all of my design needs, big or small. I love that it is user-friendly and easy to use which in my opinion allows for your creativity to flow more effectively.

Cons

There's not a whole lot I don't like about Canva, but I guess the one thing I would say is that it would be awesome if there was a better way to edit and manipulate graphics and photos you can add to your designs.

### "Cool Canva"

November 26, 2025

5.0

Overall, Canva strikes the perfect balance between simplicity and power, making it an excellent choice for individuals, small businesses, and anyone who wants high-quality designs with minimal effort.

Pros

Canva is an incredibly versatile and user-friendly design tool that makes creating professional-looking graphics fast and enjoyable. Whether you’re building social media posts, presentations, marketing materials, or videos, Canva offers a huge library of templates and assets that help you get great results without needing advanced design skills. The drag-and-drop interface is intuitive, and collaboration features make it easy for teams to work together in real time. Canva also continuously adds new tools, effects, and templates, which keeps the platform fresh and useful for a wide range of creative projects.

Cons

A possible downside of Canva is that some of its more advanced features, assets, and templates are locked behind the Pro subscription, which can feel limiting if you're relying on the free version.

### "Turned me into a graphic designer in 5 minutes!"

July 15, 2025

5.0

I love using Canva at work for all kinds of tasks - from newsletters to ID badge templates and banners for our intranet. There hasn't been a task I haven't been able to easy do and I love the integration of branding assets.

Pros

There is basically zero learning curve, WYSIWYG and it's so easy to start using. I love how you can integrate brand assets which made our recent rebrand so so easy. The range of templates and formats always suits my needs.

Cons

Almost nothing - it always does the job. Sometimes the photo/graphics library can be a bit lacking.

### "Wozu Alternativen suchen, wenn du CANVA hast!"

August 18, 2025

4.0

### "Great tool to be creative, even if you think you're Not a Creative person"

December 23, 2025

Pros

The fact you have templates to choose from really help get you started. Then adding in their AI tools and you can quickly be very creative. I am only using a fraction of the capabilities and am already very happy I use on a daily/weekly basis.

Cons

Sometimes you can feel a little overwhelmed due to all the options but if you just start with 1 or 2 areas you will quickly get some momentum.

Both personally and professionally, have created a very wide array of projects and designs that have been easy to make, easy to copy and modify for quick reproduction, and that are easily shared and upload to various online platforms.

Pros

The ability to work anywhere, creating practically anything, all within a solely web-based interface.

Cons

Sometimes certain elements within a layout are not quite as flexible in their placement or design as it seems like they should be (or could be made to be).

Canva has allowed me to make simple figures and easily visual information to be transmitted internally and be aware without having to design them or seek the assistance of a designer.

Pros

I enjoy the speed of transformation of ideas into visual, be it the creation of a simple infographic or a social update of our services.

Cons

I do not like that a higher level of customization may seem restricted, and the ability to export bigger files may require a paid subscription in some instances.

Pros

### "Canva makes it possible for anyone to make a creative, polished product!"

April 30, 2025

3.0

I enjoy using Canva when I don't have a lot of time to create a flyer or social media post or when I am not feeling particularly creative and could use help with inspiration. The templates available help speed up your projects and give you a clean, creative finished product in half the time it would take to create from scratch. You can also rest easy knowing you have permission through the program to use the images they provide, reducing risk and liability exposure for copyright infringement.

Pros

I love that Canva takes some of the time and effort out of making creative and memorable flyers, posters, web pages and more. It is easy to use with pop up tutorials. The program walks you through your project step by step making it quick and easy for anyone to use.

Cons

Canva is much more limited in what it can do than 'similar' products like those in the Adobe suite. If you are used to more advanced programs, Canva will feel very light in functionalities and options. There are very few photo editing options on this platform which would be useful when creating certain projects. It is not meant to be a photo editing software which is understandable, but some photo editing functions would be useful.

Alternatives considered

[Adobe Photoshop](https://www.capterra.com/p/229092/Adobe-Photoshop/)[Adobe Illustrator](https://www.capterra.com/p/227125/Adobe-Illustrator/)[Adobe Creative Cloud](https://www.capterra.com/p/48969/Adobe-Creative-Cloud/)

Reason for choosing Canva

We did not, we use both Canva and the Adobe programs, just for different applications. When I need to quickly throw together a cute social media post, Canva. When I need to deeply edit a photo or see a larger library of images, I will use the Adobe programs.

### "Great content development tool that just keeps getting better"

September 18, 2025

Over all, our team loves Canva. Users can quickly learn and perform within the platform. Templates save time by not needing time consuming decisions about design and material structure. Videos and animations can also be created with ease.

Pros

Canva offers quick creation of content through an abundance of templates. It is a cost effective option that helps create social media content even if you have limited graphic design knowledge.

Cons

Although, it does offer some quick filters and photo adjustments it is limited. The platform keeps improving but more blemish/corrections tools would be helpful.

### "Great for Everyone!"

June 6, 2025

I love Canva. I highly recommend it for those new to design and even seasoned designers who want an easier platform that robust design software. It's also great to use with teams.

Pros

It is a great tool for easy design work. I love how user friendly it is, as well as how everything is stored on my account so I can access my designs from anywhere. It can do almost everything I need it to.

Cons

It does have some limitations with the editing it can do. It does not have an image trace tool like Illustrator or other programs so I cannot change the color of imported vector art or edit text as a shape.
